Thanks guys for diggin into another question, appreciate the kinds words. Randy Couture definitely slept on, wish he had been in more current sets. You guys always provide such great content, always have my support. I respect your hustle, I appreciate the friendship, let’s all enjoy the journey. 9:44 Jedi Finger Point 😳
Great Job Damian , I would do exactly as you did , keep the red ink GSP , sell the Anderson Silva , & trash the Brock Lesnar . I gave a PSA 9 Brock & Dana thoughts from the boss But personally he doesn’t compare to GSP & Silva as Goats . In my opinion Fighters Goats will be favored that use all the fighting skills not just wrestling. I am holding ( for 20 more years ) A 1/1 Topps Now 2017 George St Pierre Gold Auto PSA 10 I have a regular Round 2 Royce Gracie BGS 9 Auto 10 Also one of my gems 💎 is a Anderson Silva PSA 10 2013 Knockouts triple threads 🧵 with The Spider & Autographed on card
Yeah that's an interesting point that maybe an arguement that could be used against fighters who were successful with a strong wrestling based weren't so called 'complete fighters' comparing to someone like GSP for example. Cool to hear you have some big cards stashed away mate
There are definitely more UFC collectors than Investors/Flippers out there. However its still a very new market compared to the other major sports. I'm bullish long term on UFC as a sport and the UFC card market. I'm happy Topps got the UFC card license back. I personally collect the older Topps cards, not really into the ultra modern mass produced/mass parallel sets...
Yeah there is a good portion of people who feel the same as you when it comes to newer products. I guess we just need to wait another 20years before UFC become more vintage and the older Topps sales starts getting more attention and making headlines within sports cards. Appreciate your input mate
Love you guys always great content and good insight always enjoy watching your shows thanks again from I'm sure all of us that turned in keep up the great work 💪🔥🎉
Great topic & question. For me I'm #1 Amanda #2 Valentina & probably #3 Joanna. Female fighters absolutely will hold value long term, just how much though is uncertain 👍
@@boxalarmtrading Sell Silva! Lost 7 of his last 9 fights. I remember his debut vs Leben and thinking "wow, this isn't fair". He brought a different type of excitement to the UFC than what we had been seeing. The aura, the reads, precision, the style! An absolute legend for that but along came Chael (juiced to the gills) who nearly mauled him to death and it was pretty much downhill from there. If you haven’t yet, go watch GSP’s debut vs Parisyan (I may have recommended that to you before?). Insane fight. Karo was a BEAST and rookie GSP made a statement. He was this new breed of super athlete/bionic man/ model who was also tough as hell. He was the first of the “total package”, mega-marketable fighters that prospecting collectors feverishly seek out today. Silva and GSP brought something new and exciting which inspired change and growth for the next generation and for the sport as a whole. Long term, I think Jones, GSP, Silva, and Gracie will always be the top 4 highest value guys from that era. I think guys like Brock and Kimbo will have fringe value, while other very good (even HOF) fighters (too many to name) will have niche value because newer fans just have no idea.
Topps did not do a great job promoting its products at UFC X they was supposed to give two packs to every person and that never happened...they had no installation or athletes meet n greets...last year I discovered UFC had cards from going to UFC X and Panini had a installation you stand in and get your own card made and you can design it...was kinda cool...Topps missed a huge opportunity to gain fans was sad
That sucks to hear! I guess they focused everything on the online attention with the Dana pack battle and put no effort into the actual attendees at the event and days leading into it. Which is wild when you think about the 1000's of fans they could have showed off the product to. Hopefully next year they get into full swing. Having fighters break boxes would have been wild
@@Maineventcards i seen a video of Colby Chaos opening packs once and it was entertaining for a bit ...your right lets say they have pack battle between rivals or people in upcoming fights
I feel like that Lopez 1/1 got sold a few times already. I remember his 1/1 getting sold for a few thousand , I don’t think it was up for more than a day and now I’m hearing it got sold for 15k? 😂 I could be wrong but I don’t think I am lol
Yeah from what ive seen it was 15k also and it was Diego's manager who got it for him. The same guy bought Themba's 1/1 rookie from topps chrome for Themba also
Damian, its 2024. You talk about 2009 like it was last year. People want to collect new age rookies. If you personally are frustrated that old cards arent showing up for sale, then you need to buy hobby boxes from that year and pull your own big cards. This is a collectibles market, not a used car lot market.
For a second, i considered explaining myself here. But why waste my time explaining what I meant when I can just go buy a case of Topps midnight instead and complain about that next episode. You're welcome
Midnight sucks. Buy a case of 2024 Chrome and thank me after. Truth is sounds like hate to those who hate truth. I listen to everything you say. Its okay to hear differing opinions, not everyone wants to praise every youtuber with love comments. Thats boring and fake
@@CDubRealTalk I have no issue with truth. I try to be as transparent as possible even with mistakes I make. And differing opinions is healthy. Your comments often come across as trolling sarcasm. Not everyone wants to buy new hobby boxes either. For some reason that's your solution to everything I have said on a video. And if I have misunderstood your comments and they are not sarcasm but helpful advice. It's probably a good idea that you start up your own channel, put your face out there and show everyone how much success you're having buying cases of new product. I'll subscribe for sure
