I’ve tried brotha, so many different things. That’s why I gave up on every week rips, There was no growth. I realized that if you’re not a clickbaiter and promote on tiktok channels struggle. I just don’t want it to feel like it’s a job. I always wanted it to be fun. Thank you for doing this Damian! I really wish we could figure out what’s going on 😅🤷♂️
Your content 100% got me into the hobby. All the variations and colors were too confusing to keep up with starting out. Your videos were a huge help for that. Also learning the difference between hobby and retail from your break videos was something I'm sure helped lots of new collectors
You're really leading the charge for UFC cards here on TH-cam. Type in UFC cards in the search bar and you are deservingly number 1, so don't forget that. I just hope you find that level of peace for the content that you create Matt. When it comes to your content you do what's best for you mate and the true people who matter, will follow regardless.
@@TheGoldenOctagon Your channel was also the first I found when researching UFC card content. ⚖️ Start weighing in on Conor's guilt or innocence, your channel will 10x in a month. 😂
Preach Damian!!! I’ve honestly wondered about this a lot. Do all the people on those Facebook pages and the UFC card Whatnot streams not watch TH-cam videos??? I’ve also noticed that a lot of the UFC card collectors I’ve talked to at card shows have no idea that there are TH-cam videos about UFC cards. There’s gotta be a way to get these videos in front of more people. Thanks for making this video! Hopefully it helps.
Hey Joe, thinking about this as a whole obviously got me annoyed not only for myself but for others making content. And while I knew people wouldn't like it, i felt it had to be brought up. While ive never myself been on Whatnot i felt like ive seen enough through other's platforms to make an educated opinion of what it could be like there. There is also alot of variable at play here in terms of the TH-cam algorithm and then the type of media UFC fans are will to consume. Hopefully this makes a difference for someone out there. I don't everyone to agree and like what i'm putting out there but atleast i personally do. Hope you have been well mate and happy holidays
Good work. When I was first trying to find UFC card content I was surprised on how few subscribers even the most popular channels had. All of you guys absolutely deserve more viewership. This video is perfect to share since you go over all the top channels.
Mike you're always welcome on any of the content creators channels. Your high level of interaction is most appreciated. I'm planning to start doing more regular lives in 2025 to connect more with people like you. Thanks again mate.

Love your videos and content. Show us your top ten favorite cards in your collection. Pull those cards off the back wall and show them to us. Each card has a story. In fact, a history on your cards and how you found out about that card and why you love it and how you obtained it. Even the frame of the picture has a story to tell. I respect your opinions on cards. I'd love to see you break down each of your favorite cards that you own and why.

Hey mate, you are on of the G's on here that already make a big difference by not only watching but also regularly jumping in the comments and giving your thoughts. We appreciate you mate. Thanks for the long support
@@The047SportsTCGCards YES this too! Ufc is already a niche sport. Then cards are a niche thing too. We are in a niche of a niche here and it just doesnt have that much appeal.
I thought about this too, But the between the followers on a FB group and the subs that some of the UFC Whatnot pages get the gap is still too wide. Niche or not. Zac is the best example here, they guy can't even get 3% of the FB group page here on YT. And then J$ cant' get 3%... Maybe its a TH-cam algorithm problem if anything. Hopefully some more viewers feel inspired to share these guys stuff.
This video raises some excellent questions the community should really consider. As someone new to the space, I’ve watched a lot of these UFC card content creators, and I was shocked to see the subscriber counts. Many of these creators are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about UFC and collecting, yet the audience size doesn’t seem to match their talent. I get that it’s a niche within a niche-the sports card community is already small, and the UFC card community is even smaller. This is reflected in the limited exposure of the hobby. For instance, I’ve been a die-hard MMA fan for years, but I only recently got into collecting MMA cards after reconnecting with the hobby as an adult. It’s wild to think about how under-promoted this part of the UFC world has been. Speaking of creators, I’m blown away by Box Alarm Trading. Hands down, he has some of the best content in the space-his editing, breadth of categories, and knowledge are top-notch. Seeing his subscriber count compared to his quality was honestly demoralizing, especially since I’ve just started my own channel. It made me wonder, “Why am I even doing this?” But then I remind myself, this space is still growing. UFC cards have only been around for about 15 years, and there’s so much room for growth and awareness. Creating videos has also given me a whole new appreciation for the work that goes into them. It’s a ton of effort, and sometimes it feels like people don’t realize that even giving a simple thumbs-up can make a difference. Liking a video costs nothing, yet it supports creators so much. Personally, if I find value in a video-whether it’s entertaining, informative, or even just helpful for one specific thing-I always hit the like button. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way for the creator.
Really interesting to read your take mate. You sounded exactly likely me in terms of wanting to make content. And I'm happy to see your feelings about Zac's content also. If you have instagram please directly message me there. I would love to chat more about everything. If not, Goodluck with all the content it's definitely a long road. Make the content you want to. We appreciate you mate. I know you jump in the comments when you can and that helps alot also. Anyone watching content here on YT isn't the problem. My frustration is more about the wide gap between FB and YT than the viewers who actually will regularly comment and interact in general. Apologies if it came across as a personal attack on the viewers. That was not the overall message. Thanks again

There’s a lot to unpack here and so many variables but I get your frustration. A work/reward balance is crucial to development. Hey mate, I put videos out like this so part of that is receiving criticism for my own opinion. But I appreciate you keeping it as constructive as you could. Appreciate your points and recommendations. Only thing I would have to respond is about getting on some experienced long time collectors on for conversations. From my own experience trying to organise that sort do thing it's much harder said than done. I've been respected turned down more times than I've had people Agree to come on and have a chat about ufc cards. @@Maineventcards I’m not implying that’s an easy thing to do. I’m just offering my perspective of what would appeal to me personally logistics aside (provider’s job). I don’t know what the perfect content model should look like. The demographic has to be all over the place. You have oldheads like me, and an even larger population of new/entry level collectors and fans. I guess the suggestions I made previously might catch some interest from the older folks but likely won’t increase your numbers much. A big problem is that FB groups normally do not let someone advertise someones TH-cam Channel. In the European UFC Card Collectors group we allow it. There is too much competition opposed to cooperation to grow Channels or Groups. That’s why I love to see you guys collaborate! Great video!
Thanks Rick, yeah I tried myself recently and did not get the post approved without explanation. I don't understand why that is a problem even for any FB group page to share related content. Appreciate your work mate and I need to plug the European UFC group page more. Thanks again mate
Great points Dame and this is exactly why I love your channel and will always click on your videos. Thank you for the mention 🙏🏼 You just inspired an idea for a weekly series I will be starting next week!
I still think there is room for a channel like junkwax investor or 10 club cards where you do a rapid fire top 25 sold cards of the month. That type of thing. But that takes more time and more research. It would be cool for new hobbyists though.
yes, I am glad you do what you do, I should make more myself but I have so much other stuff going on right now but I got you to get my fix and I appreciate that Damien
Thanks mate, I know you've been around a long time also. I started leaning into more bitter content but either way it's making the stuff that I want to more so than what I think others want. If you have instagram you can get in contact with me there.
Hey brother, Don't get it wrong you aint guilty of anything! When editing this I realised I came across a bit harsher on the viewer than i intended. And you, yourself make great content so you're already doing more than your share. I appreciate you brother. Hope to connect again soon
i guess i throw some facts out there. - A lot of acounts are bots and scammers - A lot of ppl in the hobby are there for flipping and/or gambling so no interest in deeper content - Packs getting opened everywhere. Whatnot/FB/IG so its just oversaturated - Building sth from ground up is the hardest so keep going
Yeah that is some good input. It does seem that for whatever reason the broader range of content for ufc cards does not stick with the wider audience. You boys are doing great with the European UFC fb page. Wish you the best with all your avenues with cards moving forward mate.
If you start to dance and bring hot girls you will grow jocking brother 😂😂. On a side note your channel is my favourite. You are original and humble to reply everyone.
I feel your pain. I really want to make that special top notch episode here in Karlstad. I can help you with cutting, texting and making reels ( Free of course 😉 ). I'll send you some pictures from our poddstudio. Hope you're doing ok 😎
UFC content is strong on TH-cam, but the big channels are intertwined with political and cultural opinion. Card collecting in general is a very tough sub section on TH-cam. For example Cajun Cardboard, who primarily does Michael Jordan card content, and posts a video probably every day, has taken forever to get a few thousand subs. And Michael Jordan card is probably the biggest and most lucrative sports card that exists.
Hey mate, this is actually pretty good perspective when you compare the content to channels like Cajun Cardboard. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. After releasing this frustration and hearing some positive replies, I've got some better perspective myself.
Hey Everybody! Happy Holidays! I’d recommend watching the biggest football and baseball channels, first video, year 1, etc and you might get an idea of what they did and are now doing at different levels. If any of you UFC creators want to get Together and rip some cards live send me a note! I travel for work and can connect when we’re in the same area. Shameless plug - our Christmas stream Monday 8pm we’re giving away 2 UFC Tickets and hits from a box of Gold Label - multiple winners!
You cant compare the two brotha! FB gives people the option to participate in their medium. The interest in the FB group likely stems from ppl showing off their stuff, and/or looking to sell/trade. I love the YT content!!! Shout out to J$ Do Bronx!!!!
Thanks for your opinion mate. Definitely seems to be that the demand for YT content is just not there right now. If anything, it has died off not grown. It'll bounce back im sure at one point. Thanks mate
I'm an admin on Faygoluvers Facebook & TH-cam. We have over 150K followers on Facebook and only 17K subscribers on TH-cam. So I'm not sure this is a problem exclusive to ufc card content.
Yeah I understand that you're not gonna have everyone jump over from a platform like FB to YT due to difference in generational media consumption. But to have a missing gap of 85-90% of an audience is crazy. if you consider the amount of people who are on FB are also watching something on YT. Maybe this is completely a YT algorithm problem? I’m not being critical of anything you said. You asked for feedback and I responded because you’ve been communicative with me before and I appreciate that. If you guys are frustrated with low numbers then its only logical to assume people aren’t following for a reason and perhaps they’re frustrated as well. What is it they're looking for? Idk.
@@Suga_Caine_Cards I appreciate your thought out and constructive feedback with your honest opinion. Thats all i can ask for when it comes to responses from my audience. I don't expect even my own followers to like or agree with what i put out here on the channel all the time. I appreciate that you noted my content is out of the box and brings something different.
I think in summary as you mentioned there is no one simple answer. It wasn't i was asking for my viewers to solve a problem but more bring it to light. But at the end of the day it was my problem/frustration in the first place.
In hindsight I still stand behind what i said but doesn't mean it makes for a good video. I'll still do my thing here regardless.
Thanks again mate, I do appreciate your time to not only watch but give your opinion. Happy holiday season
@@Maineventcards I thought the video was great. Opinions are like a-holes. You're creating a conversation and that's a good thing. Till next one
Nothing but love for you and your content brother! Happy to see i was able to help you out with an idea. Looking forward to seeing it next week!
we need more UFC on YT. Big fan and respect all that you and the others do. I hope you stick with it.
Thanks mate, I'll definitely stick with it. My content may not be everyone's cup of tea moving forward but I'll have fun making it.
@@Maineventcards absolutely, will do friend
I'm guilty of this! 😢😢.. I've been so busy!
- A lot of acounts are bots and scammers
- A lot of ppl in the hobby are there for flipping and/or gambling so no interest in deeper content
- Packs getting opened everywhere. Whatnot/FB/IG so its just oversaturated
- Building sth from ground up is the hardest so keep going
Yeah that is some good input. It does seem that for whatever reason the broader range of content for ufc cards does not stick with the wider audience.
You boys are doing great with the European UFC fb page. Wish you the best with all your avenues with cards moving forward mate.
If you start to dance and bring hot girls you will grow jocking brother 😂😂. On a side note your channel is my favourite. You are original and humble to reply everyone.
I'll work on that for 2025! I appreciate you mate, your one of the guys who makes it worth it! Thanks again
I feel your pain. I really want to make that special top notch episode here in Karlstad. I can help you with cutting, texting and making reels ( Free of course 😉 ). I'll send you some pictures from our poddstudio. Hope you're doing ok 😎
Thanks mate. We will get something organised!
If any of you UFC creators want to get
Together and rip some cards live send me a note!
Thanks for sharing mate
@@MaineventcardsI've always wondered why the numbers were so off for Faygoluvers. The best guess I have is that Facebook has millions of older people that don't watch TH-cam or even know what a smart tv is lol
