Even to this day, when I cup water in my hands, I think of Dororo's mother holding boiling soup as her hands burn so that her child can eat. Dororo is a classic and a masterpiece and even 5 years after watching it, the emotions I felt watching it the first time still follow me. If you haven't seen Dororo yet, stop what you're doing and go watch it right now.

the most controversial part of this show being the musical set piece is F*ing baffling to me. some people think it's great some didn't think much of it and some think it takes you out of the experience but not to the point of hating it. this show is just that much of an outlier in greatness.

Eren is not made to look "cool" imo. It's logical conclusion of his character. If we put it charitably, original ending "humanized" him way to much, to the point where it completely changed his character (for the worse in my opinion). Original ending also took away his agency, none of his actions mattered because he was puppeted by Ymir. Requiem takes his character to its logical conclusion, he made peace with what has to be done and that there is no other way out of this situation which reinforces theme of "us or them" in the story". We had humanizing moments for Eren, him having doubts as tho the Rumbling being the only way (Outburst during conversation with Hanji), asking for forgiveness at the refugee camp.

i read the book "Silo" a long while ago, i never knew it turned into a series, I always thought it had good potential for a tv adaptetion. btw man you channel is underrated, your script, narration, editing all are top notch, thank you for this great video and keep up the amazing work!! btw whats the name of the song at 43:09?

Samurai Champloo is actually much deeper, but even some Japanese folks might miss it. For example: Jin is not just letting Shina run away on a boat from her husband to nowhere. Getting a divorce for a woman almost impossible back then. But there was a way. Shina is going to monastery for women, if she spends there 3 years without contacts with men she can be free from her husband. So there is hope that 3 years later Jin will come back for her. There is a lot of historical context for things going on.

I dont want Rhaenyra to win tbh. But yeah, she is basically a main character :/

The obsession with Rhaenyas children not being legitimate seem extra shitty given that her husband was gay, they tried and failed to have legitimate children, they had and agreement and they never lied to each other about who’s kids they were and the real father seemed cool with her husband.

I'm a huge animation enthusiast, but I have also been guilty of being a little skeptical about anime. At first I was introduced to it when my older brother showed me some Studio Ghibli films, and then he showed me the first couple episodes of Violet Evergarden. Now I'm just getting into anime, and there are certainly a lot of stuff on my list that I need to watch.

Eren NEVER loved Mikasa romantically at any point in the series. 13:02 Eren never loved Mikasa tho. Eren and Historia isn't about just simple romance. There's a deep, intertwined connection between Eren, Historia, Founder Ymir and Freckled Ymir, Mikasa is not involved. Eren and Mikasa have ZERO connection. Historia wouldn't be living for herself if she didn't side with Eren. She sided with Eren because Eren REMINDED her to LIVE FOR HERSELF and becoming an ENEMY OF HUMANITY. But her doing the Zeke plan would be her not living for herself. That man who Historia knew from childhood threw rocks at her so where's the "love" there? I'm more willing than most it seems to vouch for the 'Rhaenys in the Dragon Pit' as it adds context and incentive to an event later in the story than I won't spoil but you will know when you see it. #HeComes #Shepard Agree on them rushing Rhaenys's character though. I must admit I don't see that much deviation between book Cole and HotD Cole. The only difference is his motivation and grievances are far less obscure in the show.

3 years later and MAPPA did make the finale even better! Eren and Armin's final conversation gets a major re-write for the better, without changing the entire ending to a Chad Eren power fantasy. Where he kills the world, kills Mikasa and Armin, bangs Historia and lives on with the guilt while only Eldians are left on the planet.

The moment Alicent gave birth to her 1st son, she vied for his place on the throne knowing Daneyra’s sons were not next in line by blood!

I still believe Otto was right that first born son Aegon II was a threat for the appointed heir princess Rhaenera. Alicent had no choice but to survive and strike back.
