I loved how Sang Woo wormed his way out of the marbles game. Probably a stretch to say, but it kind of reminded me of how in Death Note, Light had to use similar manipulation tactics to get Naomi’s real name. I just adore tense, white-knuckling writing like that. Great video as always 👏👏
I love that you mentioned Ji-yeong's story even though she's only a minor character. Without spoiling anything, her final scene was phenomenal and even the actresses were still in tears after they cut the scene 💔 She's kind of like if Historia Reiss' story was more tragic.
My prediction for Squid Game Season 2: When Gi-hun walks away from the plane, he realises, "Shit, I left all my money on the plane!" Then, he has to play the games all over again. Classic Gi-hun!
Season 2 is just around the corner, on Boxing Day to be precise. My biggest concern: Season 1 has such strong characters, buuut, besides Gi-hun and the Frontman, theyre literally all dead. There's also talks of a Season 3. Will Squid Game be like Skins, where there's a whole new cast of characters every season? (Skins was every 2 seasons, but I digress)
Yeah I wish they could have gotten some actual actors for the VIPs but... it's fine. Luckily, not every facet has to be perfect for a show to be great.
After watching squid game I thought it is overhyped but after watching this video and considering some points I think my opinion on squid game is changed a bit.
