You type like shit. You need to lower the pressure of your keystroke and type with your wrists elevated so you aren't using your fingers at that odd angle. You're going to get an injury. Learn to actuate the key instead of trying to punch a hole through your desk. Work on your typing posture. Your wrists should never 'rest' as you type.

FYI: I had this problem with my speakers when I installed Boom2 : Volume Boost & Equalizer from the Apple Store... There was a problem with uninstalling it that I had to figure out but still left the crackling noise with my speakers...

An alternate option is using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Having watched as many videos as I could find that is what I used. The instructions for the eraser tell you to: WET • SQUEEZE • ERASE. I was concerned about completely wetting the eraser. Especially using the eraser around the edges around the screen if it was too wet. Last thing on earth I wanted was water seeping under my display. I used a spray bottle with water and spritzed on half the side of the eraser I was going to use. It was moist not soaking wet. I was super nervous and elected to go with a test in the bottom right hand corner using very little pressure. Unbelievable it worked!! I then used a microfibre cloth and gently buffed my test area it was perfect. I then decided to do 25% of the screen at the same time. Certain areas were a bit stubborn however after repeating the process over and over what a result. It came out PERFECTLY! I did not time how long it took. I took my time, I would say it took a little less then an hour and a half. In the end my display looks like a black mirror. Gone are the days that my display would look like someone sneezed on it! I just wish Apple would make there anti glare finish an option. Side note - I have also used the Magic Eraser on my keyboard. It took away the sheen that tends to build up on a keyboard. My laptop is a 2020 M1 MacBook Air that was purchased brand new in 2023.

I got these in February for 100€ and I absolutely love them. I charge them twice a week, on Sunday evening and once I come back home from school on Friday. Within my school week I use up to 70-90% of the cases charge. Also I once went to the cinema with a friend, he forgot his headphones so I shared one of my Air Pods with him. We listened to music for around 1 hour before the movie began, the movie was so notoriously bad that we just decided to keep listening to music while watching Wonka. Anyway after the cinema we took a bus home, then continued listening until he had to go home. The Air Pods had 20% battery left after all that, still baffles me to this day. I would however recommend to wait for the new Air Pods, just in case they get great new features

Thanks. I had the same crackling problem on my right speaker and that helped fixing it as well as tuning in to get the perfect amount of sub bass and kicks I wanted on my music out of my macbook speakers.

I don't know why it worked and I don't wonder how the guy discovered it, but it worked: I used the wipes for delicate baby skin, dried it with a paper towel and it worked, performed the process 2-3 times and the result was perfect.

Thanks for this. I just found out that the crackling sound was coming from the left speaker when I moved the setting midway to the right. Must be the humidity and accumulated dust that cause the issue. Unfortunately, my Apple warranty expired last month before the issue appeared. Lol
