This is pretty much a perfect movie. The pacing is on point, never skips a beat, no useless dialogues, not a scene wasted, outstanding soundtrack, great writing, superb effects, a huge reveal, explains a lot and sets up a lot of stuff for later, and most importantly leaves the audience wanting for more. It has always been my favourite. I love Return of the Jedi but man those bloody ewoks lol Everything that happens in parallel with that plotline though is perfection but I hate them. :) This was a pretty fun vid, your wifey is adorable and made me giggle a few times especially at the end when the medical droid testing Luke's new hand she goes "ooh, he made him a new hand" :) I've seen this movie about....man I don't really know, it started out in VHS when I was about 8 years old so it has to be over 50 times at this point. Not a single time did I thought that droid "made" a new hand for him, I always just accepted that Luke has gotten a new hand. But she sees it for the 1st time and instantly "he made it for him". Thats pretty sweet, says a lot about her and how she sees the world. :) Really looking forward to the next one guys.

Mark Hamill (Luke) looks different here, because he had a car crash before filming this. He needed some plastic surgery on his face and you can see some scars. Then they used the yeti plot to make sense of it.

Yoda is pretty strange because he's not just really old, but he's basically a hermit that hasn't had contact with anyone in YEARS. He's also putting on a little bit of an act to see who Luke really is before revealing himself.

You are among the best. You know when to listen to the film, when to comment, and your reactions seem genuine. Keep it up! Keep doing some of the big ones: Green Mile, Forest Gump, more Star Wars, Lost World: Jurassic Park, etc. You really have what it takes to make this channel a huge hit. You're doing great! Hopefully one day you get into one of my favorites: Star Trek. A set of TV series and set of films which leave a lasting effect on a person and their worldview.

I've seen this movie a dozen times and just now noticed that it stole something from STAR TREK. The Imperial officer says , " no ship that size has a cloaking device." Cloaking device is what the Romulans had on their ships in the STAR TREK television series.😮

Of course every man's favorite is RETURN OF THE JEDI. Princess Leah had every single young man's heart beating a mile per second. It was every lady's favorite due to the cute Ewoks. Really love the two of you. Your interactions remind me of my first marriage (first wife died of breast cancer at age 43). I was 9 when Empire came out and loved it even more than the first one; Empire is still my personal favorite of all the films. I still have fond memories of seeing the original in 1977. My six-year-old self was amazed. My mom took me to see it more than once. Remembering the recently passed away James Earl Jones, who gave us the voice of Darth Vader. I also love the music, especially the Imperial March, what I just refer to as Darth Vader's theme. I love all the different variations of the theme in this movie. Little bit of trivia: The actor who played Admiral Ozzel(the one Vader kills even though they are not in the same room) played Adolf in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I saw that one in the theaters on my 18th birthday as a special Memorial Day matinee.

The great scene about the Yoda introduction, is that when you saw it in the theater you didn't know who Yoda was and actually thought he was just some crazy little character. But then he turns serious, and you realize he was testing Luke with the crazy creature act.

I agree, Return of the Jedi is my favorite too. It's a perfect ending to the story. Wraps everything up so well.

In 1977, we had questions. In 1980, with the big reveal, we had even more questions! Keep in mind you started in the middle with episode 4, episode 5 is almost the end, episode 6 is the end of the story, kind of a backwards way to tell a story, George Lucas was a genius! Episodes 1-3 will fill in the blanks in learning the characters' backstories! When you get to episode 1, there is a very important blood test, I'll say no more. It should help you understand a very important part of the story. Star Wars was a big part of my childhood, it's fun rewatching it with people who haven't seen them!
