In todays video we cut the entire stock exhaust off of the 3.6 VR6 Passat exhaust (resonator delete, muffler delete) and replaced It with a fully custom 2.5 inch, X-pipe, True dual straight pipe into two valved mufflers. What all have yall done to it? Trying to get more ideas for mine.
Wrap and an exhaust was about all
What an awful disjointed, amateur video. I get what you are doing but it was like watching Beavis and Butthead
Who said we were any smarter than those two
@@wellseegarage hahahaha fair
when yall making another video ):
This week!
You guys are a bunch of idiots that have no idea how to work on a car, or how to hang a engine and trans from a hoist. You are lucky you didn't break anything.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
How many liters of oil did you use in total? Why do they put 11 liters in the kit while the ZF kit had only 7?
I believe we used 4 or 5, maybe some different transmissions have different capacities and the kit is somewhat universal.
@@wellseegarage I have the same car with the same transmission (8HP55) and just bought the ZF transmission kit which had 7 liters of oil and just wanted to make sure that I don't need more than that. Thanks for the video and all the detailed information. Keep up the good work!
Did y’all use valvetronic mufflers and if you did what type
Ali baba valved mufflers
you can add a window film to the soon roof and you will never see the wires!!! amazon has some cool window vinyl
Didn’t even think of that, will try that!
I almost bought one of these but ended up with a '17 Fusion Sport instead because the AWD is really handy where I live. I LOVED test driving the Passat GT though, definitely going to try to pick one up at some point. Stock sounds pretty good but the muffler delete brings it to a new level!
Wait till you watch the exhaust video
Love it sounds beautiful music to my ears vr6
Smh grown adults acting like little kidd
Oh noo!!!!! 😱😱😱
Do you have the part number for the gt1446 turbo all oil lines
No
is there a way to only remove the middle front air vent grille?
You should of cut the mid pipe and drop the whole downpipe down
No need to remove the wheels and whole fender liner but more power to ya I guess LOL.
Make more 2008 A4 vids. Mine needs fixing. Rough idle and potential misfire
Good day, thank u for the video, I need ur help, I bought a left and right front axle for my 2012 Abarth Cabrio which has 78K miles and my mechanic told me I need to replace my left axle since it’s leaking a little and advices me change both since they were never replaced after I bought it new in 2013. Bought them on line through CarParts and after I filled out MY and Abarth CarParts confirmed ✅ it will fit my 2013 Abarth Cabriolet. After I brought it to my mechanic he called me a day after telling me they don’t fit and said “I told u to order through me rather on line doing aftermarket”Comparing ur front axle, I made screenshots and compared with the new ones I can’t see a difference and think my mechanic screwed me over and just cashed $$$ for the job taking the original axles off to confirm they’re different than the ones I bought from CarParts, is there an email I can send u pics of the one I’ve bought so I can send u pics and u can tell me I’m wrong and my mechanic is ripping me off?Appreciate!
There’s a huge debacle when it comes to getting axles for our cars. A lot of aftermarket places say they have them but it’s usually wrong. If you have a manual transmission, the only option is through a dealer or rebuilding your current ones (I chose to rebuild). If your mechanic can get from the dealer then you’re good, but if he orders aftermarket he’ll have the same problem.
I need help have one 2015 plz
They can be reflashed through the obd port, no need to swap an ecu
This channel has so much potential. Funny guys, great camera work and narration. Hoping for more abarth content
Thanks! More Abarth content is coming!
it isn't as fast as it sounds but it still sounds damn good and your comfy too which is a good alternative
Faster than you would think tho
Please let me know how you got on with these.. I’m looking to put them on my MiTo now and would like a good word for them seeing as though you’ve had them on for a year.
They do what they’re described to do, strong redline no more hesitation, no problems either.
@ im not expecting miracles I just don’t want to put them on and then my engine fail a week later. Nice to know.
Be diligent about how you take apart and then put together your multiair brick. Same procedure we followed
Crank with coils unplugged to circulate oil.
Noted
X-pipe ruined the sound for me.
That’s interesting, what else is done ?
@@wellseegarage I meant in your vid. H-pipe or no crossover sounds much better imo.
We’ll be experimenting with different setups in the future for sure.
@@wellseegarage Not hating, since it's a matter of personal taste, but try no crossover with glasspacks sometimes. Maybe you like it.
@muaythai193 of course! To each their own.
What year is the car? And what made you not replace the balance shafts themselves?
2015, the balance shift issue was prominent with the b7 2.0 engines, this gen doesn’t seem to be reporting back the same issue and this car never passes 3500 rpm. chains are known to stretch so why not do that atleast.
@@wellseegarage so you think I'm good with a 2010 b8? Thanks for the reply man! I'm just trying to decide if I should do them or not.
You guys are a blast to watch, awesome video.
Appreciate your support!
I think you’re doing a great job and keep working on cars helping the young people to save money
That’s the goal!
Do not do this multi-air spring swap. I spoke recently with a prominent Fiat builder in the US, and he said the last 5 engines he has replaced have all had the Tork Motorsports spring "upgrade" and all have lost compression in one or more cylinders with multi-air brick failures. Coming from someone with one of three 300 HP Abarths in the country, they will not be in my replacement engine. This is an engine failure catalyst, not an upgrade.
Why have they failed though ? And how long after the spring upgrade ?
@callumjemison3299 likely, the heavier spring rate reduces the length of time necessary for oil to flow into and out of the brick. Probably creating a low oil condition that is not detectable by the ECU. The brick functions with hydraulics created by engine oil flow to open and close engine valves. That is my guess.
@@stacyslone17 I’ve spoke to multiple tuners and all I’ve seen is the first couple of months of production they had a dodgy batch that seemed to break under load but this was years ago now and there’s lots of people I’ve spoke to that ran them for a few years now and had no issues so I think I’m going to chance it.
I’ve yet to see any hard evidence for these claims, and also personally know a few people who drive their cars HARD with the springs and haven’t had an issue.
@ i will be fitting mine soon and if I have any negative experience I will be sure to let everyone here know.

Kid doing the wrenching needs to close mouth open eyes and ears, knows what he’s doing but still a lot to be learned. Also someone tell him his torque elbow isn’t quite there and the fact that the wrench instantly clicks means Everytning has been overtorqued.
Howd u guys wrap the sunroof cover?
Like every other part, just cut the part where it slides on each side
@@wellseegarage just wodering about the handle, did u guys tuck the suede in or take the handle out fold it in and put the painted handle back in.
@koahikuma9309 took out the handle
what bolts were used to hold the engine on the stand???
Guessed the thread pitch at ace hardware and got 4 big bolts and nuts
@@wellseegarage u wouldn’t know the thread pitch by chance? 🥲
some WD40 could help
So I have a 2014 b7 Passat with a 3.6. I want to get this setup and would like to know the price and parts
Gotta talk to your local exhaust shop
Bro said we were stupid and bro didn’t know there was a bolt there ☠️
Subbed! More Abarth pls! I'd love to see more of this series of unfortunate events.
when you going to turn it on lol
I'm currently in the midst of replacing the entire exhaust on the exact same car. What a nightmare! Lol Everything is so tight in the bay! Thank you for the video
Good luck!
The washer should be on top. According to 034 installment guide at least
Thanks diy!! Was going to tackle but debating on it or doing Audi care and not have to worry about the headache and buying some tools
You can definitely save alot money if you can do stuff yourself on a German car
looks so bad without a badge on it
nah this vid was hella entertaining
Appreciate you!
Wow you guys make the guy harder than it should be...lol...you know you can tune the car without taking ECU out?...u guys are comical to watch
Well when you buy an ecu with a tune on it you have to remove your old one
I've owned Audi's for 20 yrs and my favorite is my 09 Audi A4 2.0t that I've built the engine up to 650hp and switched my transmission from 6spd to a 8spd tiptronic. Other than a few design flaws when changing parts they are nice. You are gonna want to change to gear oil in the rear differential and there are 2 places in the transmission one is in the back of it and the other is one the passenger side. They each take 1 liter.
Can you fit a golf bag in the back with the back seats out?
Yes
Is the car still running ?
Better than ever
dude do u still have the rear seats i want to reinstall my rear seats as now i have a small family and require the rear seats , please could you help
You in New York?
No bro I am in UK
Im in pa whatup bro@@wellseegarage
Next step should be ppe headers, i've got them on my car, and it sound brilliant.
Where did you buy them ?
@@wellseegarage I bought them from vivid racing when they were on sale, but you can buy them directly from PPE as well.
You should call your channel garage idiots 2 the dum ass
Again all of you should not touch a car ever again
Too late Todd
You guys are bunch of idiots just get to the point
