I LOVE gumball so much compared to any other show

Oh my God, FINALLY! Someone that actually likes Merry Wishmas! I always found that episode EXTREMELY overhated and never really agreed with most of the reasons why it’s bad.

Yeah the show is extremely funny duh... but no one talks about the story, this shows story is phenomenal also... honestly I'd say this is one of if not the best cartoon, its really hard to say

This guy’s way too nitpicky for this show. So many of these episodes should’ve been given good, but weren’t for such petty reasons

the craziest thing to me is that the worst season of gumball was its first season because the writers were finding their space and getting everything together, but its still a great season (aside from that episode carrie takes gumball’s body to eat that was a really rough spot, am i right?).

I don't think there's a bad season or an episode of Gumball. Just like how Adventure Time quality stayed consistent and never dropped at all. Especially with it's Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake.

Finally, I've found someone else who thinks the often-praised Artists vs. TMNT is one of the worst battles. I would argue the election battles weren't as lopsided as you made them out to be (the consensus, per BthIX, is Trump beat Clinton with his positively ruthless verse), but I can see where you're coming from with all of your points.

"I would not be surprised if Steve Harvey ghost-wrote this episode" is one of the most ruthless jabs I've ever heard a critic leverage at a piece of media.

behind season 7, this is the best season in the show (and sparky is a great addition!)

Current rating totals so far: Good: 7 Meh/OK: 5 Bad: 10 It's worrying that the majority of episodes are bad here, but 1 silver lining in this is that it's still less than half overall, so he may still give it an OK rating at best considering that he called Seasons 2, 3, 6 & 7 OK despite those seasons having more good episodes percentage wise, but still consisting of less than half of the overall count.

is it bad that i dont remember the later seasons as fondly as this? I may need to rewatch them because i preferred the middle area of the show

I’ll be honest, I think Gone is hella underrated. I think it’s mostly funny. SpongeBob pretending to be everyone at one point was pretty funny. I also like the concept of the day where everyone just leaves and hates SpongeBob.

I'm ashamed to say that I actually really liked Sparky as a character. I was a really dumb 13 going on 14 year old by the time this season aired and I was about to turn 15 by the time it ended.

Yep. Thanks for letting us see the first part of S9 in the meantime. Now we see the downfall already, and believe me that it gets worse when S10 comes in. (Tho I hope you give a review on the 2024 Reboot in the future)

It does seem weird getting the first of season 9 (which is going to be bad) after the new wish reboot finished its first season (which was the opposite of bad).

For me, I can forgive the additions of poof and foop. But sparky and eventually chloe? No, no, no.

This is going to be the most interesting season to discuss since its the one where the show slowly turns into something completely different

Well here are some trends that I have noticed in the season so far. 1) The rehash of episodes. Although in season 7 you could already see the lack of ideas. here it is much more noticeable. Most episodes have a plot similar to a concept already used before. 2) Sparky is annoying. And in general he is not a good character or contributes to the episodes apart from making them worse. 3) The season is quite mixed. At the moment it has 10 bad episodes, 5 okay episodes and 7 good episodes. Although on both sides you can see a pattern more towards the middle. Most good episodes are not that good and the same goes for the bad ones to some extent. Although I feel like this can change. 4) Fairies lose their wands as a way to generate conflict which is exhausting and boring. Good luck dude
