It also contradicts the ending of Channel Chasers when Timmy knew Vicky was the reason he got his fairy godparents in the first place.
I was thinking the exact same thing this episode would’ve worked better if Vicky was caught in the act got fired Timmy was happy at first until Jorgen came into the picture and took his fairies away and the rest of the episode was about Timmy trying to convince his parents to have Vicky babysit again alongside convince Vicky I’m not saying it would be great but that’s how I can think of how I can make the episode work

One of the most galling things about this episode was that it was a huge missed opportunity. The writers never explored what might happen if Timmy got a new babysitter and if they would be better, or perhaps worse, than Vicky.
fairy odd parents was one of those shows that it was best if the creator had left
Butch Hartman had questionable moral lessons with some of these episodes or glorifying child abuse and bad situations. harriyanna hook another you tuber points this out

This episode reminds me of seahorse seashell party from family guy. Timmy is a lighting rod just like Meg.

Well, as BradenInsane said in the Top 5 BEST & WORST Episodes from Fairly OddParents Season 6, in "It's a Wishful Life", at least Timmy gets to live again, and the implications of Timmy's purpose in life is TO be abused actually makes the ending to "It's a Wishful Life" feel less bad. Like, maybe if making other people's lives worse is what needs to happen in order for Timmy to exist, then it’s WORTH it for all the abuse he takes from these people. Vicky being the most deserving of having her life worsened obviously. Now with that said, I think I have a reason why "Vicky Gets Fired" is worse than "Lights Out", which was an episode that was competing to be the ABSOLUTE GARBAGE of seasons 1-8, or mainly 1-7. Let’s recall the highlights of both episodes. "Light's Out" highlight was the Parts that were Actually Animated, which were overall a mixed bag. Yes, even in the animated scenes that were good looking, as expected from season 7, there were some bad scenes, like the Scary Fairy story being told but Timmy still being a little cocky, but honestly, that was a light bad compared to Cosmo and Wanda being scary fairies trying to KILL Timmy, like him being cooked in a soup pot, him tripping on a ball, him being salted, him getting HIT BY A FREAKING TRUCK, THEN A FREAKING TRAIN, THEN GETTING CARRIED BY A FREAKING PLANE, AND NOT SAFELY MIND YOU, and Cosmo and Wanda eventually looking like NIGHTMARE FUEL. Besides that, there's also TOOTIE HITTING TIMMY WITH A PADDLE, god, was she awful and creepy in this episode, and also Timmy getting chased to the roof and about to be KILLED by CosMAD and WanPSYCHO, as well as Tootie and the Tigers. And the nail in the coffin was Timmy falling down in the ending, with Tootie going to his unconscious side being creepy, ugh. But on the positive side, the first few minutes before Timmy made his wish were ok, the trampoline scene was fine, Crocker and his mom scenes were a little funny, as were Mr and Mrs. Turner being Mummy-like and the least of Timmy's problems. The last minute was mixed when it was animated, yes, Cosmo and Wanda's reasons were stupid, but I found Timmy apologizing to Poof and giving him a hug one of the sweetest moments in the entire episode, and that Timmy learning to enjoy daylight while it’s still present is a nice lesson. The biggest problem with "Light's Out" is that is lazy. Yep. But in "Vicky Gets Fired", the ONLY Highlight was Jensen the Butler, who was a funny character. But outside of that, everything else, oh how do I say this? Oh yeah…SUCKS! THE PLOT, THE WRITING, ALMOST ALL THE CHARACTERS, including poor Poof (excluding Jensen), THE TONE, EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING (except Jensen) ABOUT IT SUCKS! If this was their final episode where Vicky was fired, then this SURE WAS NOT A FITTING END! Kind of funny how Channel Chasers was the best episode of the show that involved Vicky getting fired, but then Vicky Gets Fired that also involved Vicky getting fired was HORRIBLE. And I’m not just angered by how bad this episode is, I'm ANGERED THAT WERE SIX SEASONS INTO THIS SHOW AT THIS POINT, AND THEY'RE STILL DOING PLOTS LIKE THIS! When the show was at its worse, at the very least, because seasons 1-8 were a mix of Good and Okay seasons. Anyways, this is why I would have been SO much better to have "Vicky Gets Fired" to be an alternate universe story where it’s the ending of Channel Chasers but Vicky stays fired. That way, it would have the awesome writing of Channel Chasers, and it would have LEAST done without the cliche story, the idiotic characters, and the less exciting sequences. At least the BAD rating here makes more logically sense than anything that STUPID VICKY does. Now, I still like these characters at their best, and will remember their best episodes, and that’s what I want these characters to be remembered for, and not their worst appearances. And I can understand why some Nick fans, like PhantomStrider and Mr. Enter, quit the series in the middle of season 6, cause they watched this episode and realized the show has reached the point of no return, although seasons 6-8 were actually fine (and 2 of them are good, 1 technically quality wise) , and it’s when we get to seasons 9 & 10 is when things start to become, well, sour.

Although it's similar in a *different way* than Gumball's the Job, there's also _Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo_ where Candace gives up the thing she wants most so that Doofenshmirtz doesn't end up being an evil dictator.
This episode shows one of the worst appearances of Timmy's parents, and one of the worst examples of a status quo ending that I’ve ever seen. While it’s not my absolute most hated episode, it’s definitely in my bottom 10 FOP episodes.
P.S I will be indeed impressed if this episodes will remain as your absolute worst after looking at seasons 9 and 10. Oh, just you wait, dude…

Good point. I mean when Pie Guy reviewed seasons 1-10 and 1st 2 movies of SpongeBob, and when That Yozzy Bloke reviewed seasons 1-4 of the Loud House, not all the episodes were good. Like FOP, we’ve seen some ScumBobs and Garbage Houses (with Choir Boys and The Green House being the worst offenders in those cases, the latter having NO redeeming qualities). Not all NickToons are perfect, and even with the ones with no bad episodes, I can expect their worst episodes to be Average/Okay/Meh/Mediocre/etc., but not actually bad. But, I will be surprised if Vicky Gets Fired remains the worst episode of the show after seasons 9 & 10 are reviewed.
Yeah it gives me "A Wishful Life" vibes. Not a good set up or resolution.

Timmy is a cartoon character they can survive anything. 6:36 That's basically the show. Its business as usual. Timmy's wishes to make him less miserable backfire and he goes back to being miserable.
Does that excuse how awful TImmy's parents were caring more for a stupid video tape then there own son at least the Rugrats parents gave a damn about there kids , TImmy was just a g rated Meg Griffin by beign a lighting rod. Alos why the hell is Vicky tryign to gwt other jobs she just got fired from ONE baby sitting job not all of them she baby sat other kids BEFORE Timmy . They alos gave Vicky way too much power as even before she became mayor she could just walk in in the early seasons the adults COULD keep her in line seen in Dream Goat

I would obviously be considered if a real 10 year old was tied to train tracks. You are taking slapstick gags too seriously 3) Maybe work is slow these days. @@icecreamhero2375 1 People give the Rugrats parents a hard time saying child services should have taken them away yet seem to give Timmy's parents a free pass also in Channel Chasers they saw picture evidence of Vicky's true colors and realized the truth yet they didn't give a damn when shown clear video evidence. By that point Timmy should have wished to be Cosmo and Wanda's kid . 2 Oddparents isnt as cartoony as Spongebob as he can take blows due to being a Sponge by Timmy can not we have seen him get seriously hurt by either Vicky, Francis or Jorden . As just because it's a cartoon does not mean real life pain is except, as Misterfusion explained just because you wish away the injuring of the pain you caused doesnt mean it didnt happen. 3 That is still a pretty poor reason as Vicky couldn't have tried to baby sit Chester, AJ or Tad and Chad we see many kids in town. 4 Vicky being pure evil makes her one dimensional In the beginning she was just a selfish teenage girl but still did her job like being worried over Timmy being gone , it was obviously for selfish reasons " Something could happen to me cause something happen to him" But she still has limits ie not kill your pay checks. But now Vicky has no problems with potentially killing Timmy

The characters don't squash and stretch as much but it runs purely on cartoon logic. 3) No its not. The parents want to spend more time with their kids so they higher her less than happened in Microphony. They could have used that explanation in the epsidoe. Oh well its still funny.
@@icecreamhero2375 You may right on The parents part but not the cartoons unless Timmy wishes to be like a slapstick cartoon he can feel pain why does he run from Francis or needs body casts if he was cartoony he would just laugh it off . The Oddparents universes is not the same cartoony vibe as Spongebon or Uncle Grandpa as pain still occurs. It doesn't effect fairies cause there magic and immortal. For example Francies was beating everyone up on the last day however when he tried that with Timmy he got beaten not because of Sponge materia like Spongebob with Flatts but because Timmy had 2 medals on him if he didnt he would've been beaten to a pulp. 3 That was during the summer this took place outside of that Vicky could have babysit other kids Timmy is not her only client nor was he the first one

@@durece100 I loved this one for many years it's very funny. The video is just taking cartoon slapstick too seriously. Timmy's parents being oblivious to Vicky being a bad babysitter is nothing new. That has been in a billion different episodes. Timmy's wish not working and things going back to exactly the way they were before is nothing new. That has been in a billion different episodes.
