I Found One of The RAREST Japanese Game Consoles...
I guess someone already explained the VCD's, in Philippines and other Asia countries plus the ones that i think people already said (HK, CHN) was kinda a hit, and still had been for quite a while (*), bootlegs versions or not, I remember seeing a movie that had the Rock, but i don't remember if it was the San Andreas movie or the rampage one, or skyscraper, and it was legit release from WB, the price and the humidity of asian countries makes vcd a good choice. And for some it was (i guess someone already said this) the only way to see HK movies, for example, in my case im from México and i have family in some parts of Asia (JP, HK...) and in the 2000's they send ne VHS with movies from thwir countries, but then it was eaiser to send me vcd, not just shipping but taxes too.
Vhs of lugia and the mewtwo movies, a dream come true for me. Even the blurays that they released there, thats something that you never see in videos like this, vhs or even Blu-ray, and they have nice collection like the Toho ones. And Blu-ray music disc's.
Mannn I spent hundreds of hours playing this game. Nostalgia is real
It's pretty accurate to the older Initial D arcade machines, so much fun fr
Yay let’s see what you found 😊
91 Hard Off's!? Thats impressive, bro! Another great live-stream to fill my weekdays with while I work :D
It's like 94 now haha, it counts Hobby Off and Off House as separate locations even when they're in the same building sonitsna bit more than half that I think
Sorry if I missed it but what’s the location in saitama of the hard offs you went?
Honestly can't remember otherwise I'd put it, it's in Saitamanand tho lol
you re very lucky to see 80s Dragon Ball. There is just only 80s DBZ in Japan.
I love the original DB series, it really has its own charm
Com POZ Zit.
Love your content, keep it up! I will SUB!
why did so many people throw away the packaging for the n64 and below console games? thats if everyone threw away disc game packaging.
The cardboard cases were just flimsy I guess, Nintendo even made official plastic holders for the carts
@@4amLaundry still i wouldve folded them in and saved them. the boxes were so cool.
Yeah I kept all of mine as a kid too, some people just took a minimalist approach I guess lol
@@4amLaundry I never grew up in that era, but i did get a 64 from a garage sale and it was awesome, pristine condition. i didnt even know they came in cool boxes until later and i always wanted the boxes. thats why i keep boxes now when i can.
Hi! Did you use some third app to know the price difference betweeen any hardoff or the historical low of a specific game? Thanks
Nah I've just been here long enough to have a good idea of what the average price is for what I'm looking for
Mischief makers* and its an amazing game btw, if anyone has a chance, give it a try
Could you do me a favor and either live stream or make a video where you go to mandarake?
I'll do my best but I've been kicked out of both the Nakano Broadway and Akihabara Mandarake for filming/streaming. Especially their retro game section they're super protective of it for whateverr reason.
@@4amLaundry Maybe thats why there are so few videos from that shop 🤔
I could never go to Japan only because I would spend all my money the first day at Super potato and I would be stranded there unable to get home 😂😂
Why do you think I'm so cheap, if I don't I'd never be able to eat 🥲
Great stream Pim. Thanks as always. Why is megadrive rare and expensive in Japan?
Not too sure why, it's always been a more premium/expensive thing to collect in terms of retro games but I can't say if it was more/less popular when new because Sega has some real die hard fans here.
Love that the Hard Off guy subbed, that is so respectful. Recently subbed to your channel myself and now on a binge watch of your content. Watching your videos whilst browsing Mecari for Junk consoles is a dangerous combination 😅Keep up the great work sir!
Haha thank you! He was cool we talked for a bit off camera. Hard Off does a great job with social media so they really encourage stuff like this.
Its crazy how cheaper pokemon games are when your not in the typical tokyo spots. Sad i didnt have time to venture out so i had to buy some games higher price but next time i will 100% try to find them on the cheaper side
They're all creeping up in price wherever you go but yeah, outside of Tokyo it's still very doable to get the older ones.
Really nice channel, surprized you don't have more subscribers, i collect Laserdisc myself, love seeing them for cheap in Japan :D
Appreciate the kind words! I go through the LD's a lot more on the live streams since its more free, hope you can catch one!
I am thinking of collecting console games again. I once did and sold a couple hundreds of my games because I didn't have time 20 years ago. Now I have a lot more time but the prices of games are just too expensive. I don't want crappy games; there are more crappy games than good ones in every console system. There are people who collect the entire system; I don't. I guess I have to head to thrift stores and begin searching on Ebay.
I really like the preview of each game. Make this video an excellent work. Subscribed.
Thank you! I wish I could add them to the live streams haha
@@4amLaundry keep up the great work.
You only play console games, not PC AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077?
Of course lol I have a RTX3080 + threadripper. The issue is more that I don't have a lot of time these days.
