Hi, how many writings do you have to do? And how long is the essay?
Just enrolled in an 18 month program. I’m already panicking. Wish me luck. I start in January
You got this!
In a nutshell: Downsides to L&D 5)Unable to give 1:1 attention 4) calm turns to chaos quickly 3) Emergencies: shoulder or head stuck, cord prolapse 2) Unsupportive families/partners 1) Fetal loss and poor outcomes Tips * Learn to wear a lot of hats * communicate with your patient about what’s happening
Going through your whole channel because im really nervous to start my ABSN program, and these are SO helpful and honest! Thank you
Thanks so much for this!!!❤ I love your positivity!!!!!! Thank you
What about a regular Acceleration BSN program for someone that’s a first time college student with no prior medical experience?
Your channel quality is top notch
Congrats 🎉
What font did you use ?
Hi do you have a new link ? the one under the video isnt working
Hi! What made you want to change your career to nursing? I’m curious because I am currently in the banking industry and after having my baby, I am considering changing my career to become an L&D nurse.
Thanks you 🥰🙏
Hi! I have a masters degree in arts and I would like to change my career path. My masters degree doesn’t have any courses that are needed for the prerequisites of nursing. Where can I do the prerequisites courses?
Omg I stummbled across your videos. I just got accepted into UTA AO program, congratulations. Do you still have your books they are very expensive?
I'm working on taking my pre-recs right now, and I am doing what you talked about at 14:41. I narrowed down which schools I'm interested in applying to down to 2. School A requires you have 3 out of 4 science pre-recs done by the time you apply, and School B requires you've already completed all 5 when you apply. I reach out to both schools to confirm that they would accept credits from a certain online institution I was looking at, and now I'm taking the 3 classes they both require. These 3 courses (plus 2 from my undergrad) will meet all the requirements both to apply and for pre-recs in general for School B, and meet the application requirement for School A. Then, depending on where I get accepted and cost, if I were to decide to go to the School A, I could finish the additional pre-recs required by only their program in the 1-2 semester window between when I am accepted/make the decision and when the program starts.
What school are you in? I'm considering different WHNP programs
A local university in town is offering an accelerated ASN, for 39k. It’s 20 months long, 30 plus hours a week and on-call every weekend for clinicals. 😮 I am thinking of going for it!
Love the name! I'm Margaret as well! 😊
I work L&D too! Loved the video! My hospital also has a 2:1 ratio. Do you ever have two patients on pitocin at once?
🩷🩷. Yes! All the time lol pretty much all of my patients were on pitocin
Hey can you help me write my CV i am applying for grad year and as an international student i need some help from you if you could?
Did ur 15 months include your prerequisite? Or 15 months after prerequisites?
15 months without the prereqs. My prereqs took me about a year but that’s cause I was slow and had a lot to do haha
Hi Margaret, May I know the average cost of studying accelerated nursing degree in usa? I’m looking for cheaper colleges (community colleges?) with any scholarship; I am 39 years old, Canadian citizen, pursued masters in Biotechnology and Masters in Public health in Canada and have been working in clinical trials for more than 11 years but I am always fascinated about nursing; if you could let me know some community colleges in US that would offer accelerated bachelor nursing be great help!

Congratulations!! Which school did you come from.
Congrats! 💛
Hi Margaret, were you able to work asap after the program or there would be some more rotation at hospitals?
How did you decide between Medical Assistant and Nursing? I have an BA in Humanities/Sociology but started off in Journalism. Got accepted into a MA in Journalism but not really feeling like spending so much on going to an out of state school.
thanks for this! I got accepted to UGA (my dream school) for Journalism Masters.... but since I am out of state it's $40k,,, thinking about just going back to school for a BSN. Torn between nursing and just medical assistant though.
Congratulations!!! ❤ John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus Christ, the Son of God, loves you. He was crucified on a cross to atone for our sin. He lived a sinless life, and didn’t deserve to die. He took our place, and payed our debt for us. He rose from the dead on the third day after being crucified so that we too may rise one day. If you place your faith in Him, He will forgive your sins. 🌷💕 Invite Him into your heart, if you don’t know Him already. Confess your sins to Him, repent of them, ask Him to change your heart, and lead you. God bless you!
Do you know what the salary is for WHNP?
It differs depending on a lot of things (where you live, where you work, years of experience, etc.) but I've seen anywhere from $110,000-$140,000.
@@margaretarmenthank you
I’m ready to go back to labor 😅
I just got accepted to a 15-month accelerated! This is so helpful and HOPEful-exactly what I wanted to hear! I will be leaning into your videos for a boost-Thank you❤️ I hope your wedding was everything you imagined.
Yay!! Congratulations! Good luck with everything 🎉
Your ambition is truly inspiring! Keep striving for greatness, and remember, I'll always be cheering you on! 🎉😊
Thank you!! ❤️
Thank you for sharing! Could you tell us what program did you join? Because I have not been able to find Women’s health NP that helps With clinical placements! Thanks
I have a B.A. In communications and I want to go back to get my B.S.N! THANK YOU for this video!
Yay! You’ve got this!!!
I graduated with my bachelor’s in 2022, going back for an ABSN program and your channel is amazing!!! I love your outlook and view on everything about the programs and the nursing field in general, you’ve helped me so much 🥹
Aw thank you so much!! I’m so glad I could help! Good luck with your ABSN, you’ve got this!!! 🙌🏼
Please can you recommend some schools that will take international students for accelerated BSN nursing
congrats on NP school... would love more content on it as its an interesting field... best of luck as well too
Hi Margaret. I recently graduated with my ADN in Dec 23, took my nclex on 02/08 and passed! I applied at my local hospital L&D dept and surprisingly got hired even as a new grad. I am planning on working for at least 6 months and then applying for my BSN and my ultimate goal is NP school with my masters in woments heallth also. So glad that I came across your video and look forward to seeing how your journey progresses. If you can also maybe recommend a online NP school like the one that you are attending that would be super helpful and would go right up on my vision board. Thank you in advance and best of luck on your new journey.
Omg you are crushing it!!!! Congrats on passing the NCLEX, that is a huge accomplishment! I hope you love L&D, hang in there at the beginning it can take some time to get into a flow. There are so many great NP schools out there with online options (I don’t know about all of them so make sure to look them up to see what’s right for you). Here are a few I found: Emory University Vanderbilt University Carlow University Regis College There are so many more and they are all over the country so I’m sure there’s one in your area if that interests you!! Good luck with everything 😊
I’m an L&D nurse too! It’s crazy that I came across your video, because I literally just applied to an NP program too. Best of luck to you!! I’m excited to be on this journey alongside you.
Amazing!! Good luck with your program! 😊
Hey Margaret! I made the career switch to nursing after watching your videos last year and I'm finishing up my prereqs now; I've already been accepted to Marian University's ABSN program in Indianapolis and will start this August. I want to go a similar route by starting as a cardiac nurse before enrolling in NP School too. Do you know what the requirements are? Can you apply to NP directly after finishing an ABSN? I was told many schools require 2 years experience and even then the rules are going to change soon so I was hoping you could clear this up for me, possibly in a future video? Thanks again!!
Hi! Congratulations on finishing up your pre reqs and starting your ABSN!! I am not sure what the requirements are or if there are any requirements in terms of how long you’ve worked. I know people who have gone straight from a bachelors to a masters! I would recommend having a least a year of experience as a nurse before applying to np school but you do you! If you’re interested in being a CRNA I know that requires at least 2 years of experience working in an ICU so maybe that’s what you were hearing. Best of luck with everything!!
Not eating shouldn’t be a reality, all of the nurses on my labor and delivery floor get lunch, everyday.
I completely agree! I'm so glad you all get a lunch, it's so important to have breaks and it should be how it is for everyone!
Maam can u list some colleges to get into accelerated nursing programs.
Omg I’m in the same boat as you were at this time. I’ve spent so much time trying to make a marketing career work for me but it feels so soulless and unfulfilling. I’ve also always been interested in healthcare. In school, I took almost all the pre-reqs for nursing, but last minute decided for business because the pandemic hit and kind of scared me at the time. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m about to go binge all your vids 😂
I completely relate!! It's never too late to make a change if that's what you want! Thank you for watching, so happy you're here :)
Im an LPN and I make $39.41 per hour as a MDS Coordinator. I haven't made $30 in about 6 years.
The absn program im looking into is 72k, how much was yours? Or is that a normal tuition quote? thanks in advance!
Hi! I believe mine was around 50k. I’m not sure what a normal or average tuition is for an absn program - I’m sure it changes depending on the credits, location, etc.
Thanks for responding ! 🫶 @@margaretarmen
I used your template, applied to three different nurse residency programs and got called immediately by all of them. I got a job as a cardiac tele nurse. Thank you for the help!
Wow! That’s amazing!! Congratulations 🎉
Hi...do you have any nursing school you can recommend to me?
What school did you go to? What state. Love the video very informative ❤
