I’m supposed to start my ABSN program in May 2022 and I am terrified. I’ve seen nothing but negative comments and stories. I’ve wanted this for years, so I should be more excited but the negative talk is really getting to me. Your TH-cam is a breath of fresh air because you’re so positive. Thank you.
I am so glad I could help! There is nothing to be scared of! You've got this! Nursing school can be tough but it is nothing you can't do. The nursing field needs passionate, excited, and caring nurses!! Good luck, you're going to be great!
I'm working on taking my pre-recs right now, and I am doing what you talked about at 14:41. I narrowed down which schools I'm interested in applying to down to 2. School A requires you have 3 out of 4 science pre-recs done by the time you apply, and School B requires you've already completed all 5 when you apply. I reach out to both schools to confirm that they would accept credits from a certain online institution I was looking at, and now I'm taking the 3 classes they both require. These 3 courses (plus 2 from my undergrad) will meet all the requirements both to apply and for pre-recs in general for School B, and meet the application requirement for School A. Then, depending on where I get accepted and cost, if I were to decide to go to the School A, I could finish the additional pre-recs required by only their program in the 1-2 semester window between when I am accepted/make the decision and when the program starts.
I also am in an accelerated program. I also did prerequisite while working full time and would go to class after my work. I quit full time job once in the program and I need 2 semesters left before graduating. Got a PCA job in my fifth semester of that program.
I’m graduating with my B.S next May and am going to an accelerated nursing program after... it’s so stressful to find a program and have the confidence I’ll make it through.. thank you for your videos😭
Thank YOU for being here! Accelerated programs can be so intimidating but I have all the confidence in the world that you will do great! There's nothing you cant do when you have the passion & drive :)
Hi My name is Anusree, and I am currently writing my final year exams for my first degree. I am planning to do absn next, so i was wondering if you could tell me at which college you completed your accelerated bsn that allowed prerequisites to be done online.Could you name if there are other colleges that allow prerequisites to be taken online?
Honestly all it is is just mad studying every day for mad exams and quizzes like every week plus clinical every week. You don’t have a personal life because all you’re doing is studying

@@margaretarmen how is it so far?
Do you mind share which school you are attending to? I’m also considering applying to ABSN?

Thank you so much for this video!!! It helped a LOT to know that you first applied and THEN did pre reqs! S2
I start my 12 month program in august and watching your videos is helping my calm my anxiety and assure me it is do-able!
So exciting! I started last August and was so nervous. It is definitely do-able and I am here for you!! Good luck, you've got this!

That's awesome! I definitely think it's helpful to have a job as a PCA -- such good experience!
Glad you’re back! Great video- enjoy your (short) break before summer term! Way to remain positive!
Thank you! Two finals left between me and break :)

So did you get accepted to your program with only the statistics prereq completed?
Yes, my program accepted me contingent on finishing my prereqs with a 3.0 or higher. So I needed to have them all complete by the time I started.
@@margaretarmen thanks! I applied with 2 unfinished prereqs so I’m hoping my school does the same thing.
@@allisonrose5361 if your nervous it can’t hurt to just email someone in admissions and let them know!
How do you pay for your program? This is my second degree as well
Outside scholarships or personal loans

Hey Margaret! Where did you take your prefers online? Im missing a few and looking for somewhere to get it done. Thank you!!!
I used Portage Learning! It was great because I could get them all done online. Hope this helps!
