CZ 600 Trail 300 Blackout - Tiny Rifle, Tiny Groups?
I love a nice short compact stalking rifle, in fact most of my own rifles have a short barrel consummate to the ballistic efficiency of the cartridge they are firing. It makes stalking over or through tough terrain so much easy and as the years role on I appreciate the lighter weight too!
The Trail is aptly name as its specifically designed for use out in the woods and trails, in a back pack, slung over the shoulder for ease of transport.
It also has been based on CZ`s new 600 series actions but instead of a more traditional wood or synthetic sporter type stock arrangement the Trail utilises the ever popular tactical styling. In fact it has several key notes from the AR15 platform with regard safety, magazines, chassis system and exchange pistol grip elements.
Its best feature has to be the extendable stock section that collapse the Trail from 35.25 to a scant 27.25 inches. So coupled to its 2.8kg weight makes for a really lovely rifle to handle. It is designed exclusively for the small assault rifle cartridges and is available at present in .223, 7.62x39mm or 300 Blackout (on test)

Roe Stalking with the New ATA Turqua Thumbhole Laminate

It is the first bolt action centrefire rifle to come out of Turkey a...
The Tikka T1X Hunter Wood Vs Twelve Rabbits - Comprehensive review
มุมมอง 67K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Tikka`s delve into the rimfire market in 2018 has proven to be a very good move as their model T1X has become very popular here in the UK. It makes sense as Sako had their Finnfire and Quad models and this T1X action takes over where they left off. It has an all steel action design not too dissimilar to the older Finnfire which I still own and cherish. But cleverly Tikka have seen to make the T...

very good rifle that, I have shot it once (7,62x39 version), it was nice although the stock broke after two weeks of ownership ( owner gave me that info)
Lighter loads in UK?
Sig Sauer makes some great 220 grain subs that have a pointed tip that feeds well! Very quiet!
What 100g bullet does it like? I have a friend having problems getting it to group..
crap
Where you buy the suppressor? Thanks
What manufacturer makes that extended magazine?
Nice but to expensive for this kid. A ruger Hawkeye will do everything it does with a claw extractor. At half the price. Oh yea lets not forget Made in U.S.A.
Brilliant as always. Keep them coming! Have put my T3X TAC A1 24 inch 6.5 CM in an adjustable CTR stock, great combination with the two-stage trigger. Can use in the field and on the range, save the featherweight Sako 85 .308 for reds on the hills.
Got one in 243 with an adjustable cheek piece. Its 6 yrs old now. 20 inch barrel. .5 MOA or less. Shooter dependant lol.Smooth as butter action and trigger sub 2lb. Awesome awesome rifle. It loves Federal and Sako ammo 70gr to 100gr. Love the magazine. Slight down side it is bit of a chunky boy to hump around.
I’ve used this rifle the last 2 Seasons mine is chambered in 7.62x39 it’s an outstanding packable rifle
I just learned of this arm while reading my most recent issue of Shooter's Illustrated. I had never heard of this rifle. The suppressor is very interesting and that it was designed by a youngster to boot. My only caveat is the extremely short sight radius. It looks to be about 12". Swell video of a relatively unknown carbine. It'd be boss to shoot it.
That’s knocking on the door of .300hamr Wilson combat
Wow didn't know there was a gun channel coming out of the UK (I think)...
Does it come with the silencer ?
N120 is great for subs. Mine prefers a moderate crimp, but I don't have solid data to argue my position
Hi Yes I use alt of differing powders for subs and will sort a whole video on them soon as I really love .30 cal subs. I to have found especially with subs it is best to have more neck tension or light crimp as the initial primer !bump! on ignition can cause bigger fps variations.
'Tiny groups'... Bering in mind that CZ rifles are capable of tiny groups, this is bollix! The trail has been the worst shooting rifle ever produced by CZ and is a great concept but horribly executed!
Your example assumes that there is only a top level of competition but there are many levels of competition in sports. So, a male that doesn’t perform at the top level of humanity can compete at lower levels. For instance, a boxer may not be in a national ring, but could compete at regional or state or local levels. The system of biological males competing against biological males and biological females competing against biological females is the clearest, simplest division in sports.
I always fancied one of these I picked one up you have a tiny amount of movement with stock as like carbines with my Thompson encore , I always liked the 7.62x 39 I wanted the 527 cz but they’re hard too find but the 300 BK with subs a good short range Foxing tool and many thanks for the reviews this year 👏🎄
I was pleasantly surprised too, not my usual rifle taste but it shot really well. 90 gr Hornady XTP bullets subsonically for foxes expand.
It likes everything. Great shooting. A third 16" option would be perfect for woods, shorter range shooting. Thanks for the video .
Totally agree with you on the 16 inch option that would be superb,( plus a thumbhole stock) I might get a 6.5 CM with a 24 inch barrel and then cut down in inch lengths and measure the velocities/energy with a variety of bullet weights as I use to for the British shooting magazines if any one is interested?
Interested.
Interesting groups I’ve seen the .223 version reviewed and they seem to struggle to group compared to those 300BLK
I tested a CZ 600 Alpha in .223 and it has a fast twist rate which was very bullet sensitive, it might be the same with this Trail version in .223?
@ exactly that they favor 69 grain bullets from what I saw from the bloke on the range channel when he did some testing of his trail in .223
@@dave_724mine loves 77 grain
Cool little rig
Great review as always. As its a CZ l watched it. However I would prefer a trad stock, black rifles for hunting do nothing for me. Personal opinion. The stock has come up for some criticism elsewhere. Excellent results with subs, the feed problems? Just a case of finding the right round and sticking.
Honestly I was expecting 1 - 2 inch groups with the rattly stock but those groups proved otherwise and the CWD buck was unaware too. I love the Sub X bullet and will sort the OAL out which might help and hopefully include in another video on subsonics, I have a 510 Whisper coming!
Have the rifle in the shoulder and target in the scope before you close the bolt. Basic rifle handling.
Your medal is in the mail #commentskaren #thankyouforyourservice
It’s insane considering that the accuracy guarantee for the Trail is 2 MOA. Really nice shooting!
Scope???🤔🤔🤔🤔
Kahles Helia great close quarters scope
Disappointed you missed that fly 😂.. Very good review as always..
Another great review! But at 14:47 you missed the fly. I guessed you aimed for it😅
Well spotted, it was so close!!
I've always avoided Eley as a brand. They refuse to put the FPS on most of their ammo packages. CCI are like, "here you go, grains & velocity".
Hello from the States. Is that the Veracity PH scope? I have the 3-15 model. Excellent scope.
Yes it is, and I agree a great bit of kit and hopefully a full review soon.
This is my dream stock rifle in 7mm rem mag (although I’d make it a 7PRC eventually). Only con is a non adjustable cheek piece. Rifles are that price point such as the carbon Springfield waypoint offer more value at the price. I just love sako/tikka and already have an all carbon tikka 300wsm for elk but I like the sako mags 10x better.. sako also allows to to rack the bolt on safe which is a huge plus to me. Great video
What brand hunting pants mate cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
They are Bison Bushcraft from Sussex England, I have had them 25 years and still going strong after being worn most days!
This channel deserves so much more! Incredible quality.
I have a Sako also related to Tikka, very accurate and precise rifle for hunting
Many thanks always enjoy your reviews , how about a basic Howa rifle review 👍 and have a happy enjoyable Christmas 🎄
I will ask Highland Outdoors what they have, Merry Christmas
Great!👏🏻 Which one is lighter this tikka or the Sako S20 you have shot earlier? I'm planning to buy either of them
Hi The S20 is marginally lighter at 7.7 lbs in 6.5 CM and the same cal Tilkka CTR is 7.9 lbs, so not much in it really.
@broadswordballistics that's not much actually. Thanks for the info. 👍 Lot's of carrying during the long hunting days so the weight makes some difference. On the other hand i don't want my rifle to be too light either.
Finally! I was waiting for you to be back Sir! Cheers!
Thanks, we had a few hard drives crash and data lost!! but plenty more to come.
@broadswordballistics sorry to hear. I know that issue! Cheers and much looking forward to it.
When you said available in left hand its music to my ears
I have a CTR in 7mm08 stainless, absolutely superb for the stags and hinds up here beyond the wall 👍 Hopefully my sako 90 synthetic in 7mm will be here before Christmas 🎄 Love the channel
Great calibre.
Is the length of pull the same?
I need to check
Well done! Always enjoy your excellent shooting and the stalking and hunting footage is fantastic!
Nice rifle & not ammo picky is a bonus.
Not sure if you're affiliated in any way with SAKO/Tikka, but nobody has inspired me more to buy one than you, sir. The accuracy is incredible!
Hi, I am amazed sometimes at the accuracy of some of these rifles too, especially with some factory loads. I am totally independent and fund myself but I am a big Tikka/Sako fan as these were my first rifles when stalking growing up. All the best.
Fantastic looking bit of kit!
I’m absolutely amazed by this level of accuracy. Seemingly so casually and even outside. I have nowhere near this level of accuracy out of my heavy barrelled R8 in 6.5cm. As a suggestion, it would be interesting to see what the copper rounds such as the Blades, the LRX’s and the TTSX’s do in ballistics gel at let’s say 250 yards. It could teach us a thing or two about bullet expansion at further ranges and whether we should attempt further shots. Thanks a lot for these video’s and I really like the fact that you clean the barrel before shooting lead free ammo and that you let us know the velocities!!
Good idea, I am about to start posting some ballistic tests at range and into media on various bullets, ammo etc, like my articles for the shooting press, its just time and editing that seem to slow things up.
Very nice great review, do a review on the burris if you get chance, it would be good to see, thanks for sharing.
Will do that's next on the list.
@broadswordballistics will look forward to that thanks, I would also like to ask if you don't mind, your preference on .308 over 6.5 creedmoor, I seem to be having a dilemma, deciding which calibre to move upto, if that makes sense?.
I love the joy of you getting sub MOA, glad you still enjoying reviewing.
Cheers, I wish I could reload as accurate as some of those factory loads too!
Great review as always thanks! That is a very accurate piece with all loads.
Waidmannsheil! I would get the Tikka in .308 Win than in 6,5
I am a big .308 fan too and 6.5 Creedmoor is certainly becoming my second favourite though.
9:31 wait wait wait, that was quieter than my Daisy BB gun. When I spit crap out of my lungs in the morning I am louder.
The bullet hitting the target is louder than the discharge.
