Man, MHFU is the best. Replaying it right now and it just feels awesome to have an actual challenge. I played through WorldBorne and RiseBreak without failing any quests until endgame challenges. In MHFU i failed my first quest against village khezu urgent lol. If you get cocky and don't upgrade your armor you're gonna get punished. It's awesome honestly.

I'd argue Portable3rd is the last classic feeling MH. Even though it released between Tri and 3U, it kinda feels like the actual transitioning between early and golden age MH.

No. But 90% of people who played MHW (Also known as MH5) haven't played a MH game before. Let that sink in. Most of them don't know that Rise is yet another sideline game in the portable series and is not, in fact, a sequel nor successor to MHW.
