fun fact that monster @23:29 is the flagship monster in the God Eater series as this game is set in the same world, also the talking at the end they also did that in GE too
I know I'm super late to this video, but WOW this is a good review! While I personally dislike the Dark Souls comparisons and feel they generally just cheapen a game that really did swing hard to be its own thing, I understand they were done for the sake of comedy. I'm sad you cut out so much of the last leg of the game (including the Queen's Knight coming back to life and fighting one of the Attendants of the Relics) I can understand why'd you chop that leg off considering the length of the video. I'm also REALLY sad you didn't save all the successors! You were so close to the best ending, but right when I heard you joke about not wanting any more rock induced drug trips I knew you were going to miss out on that. Thank the Queen you managed to save Eva. In case you care about lore [Major Spoilers follow]: The reason your character is able to do all those things is because they are the Successor of the Blood. As Eva was Successor of the Throat and thus able to speak to the Relics to calm them down, you were the essential lifeblood of them and thus able to fully control them. We know this because Jack via his power as Successor of the Eye sees the same blue aura of the Queen around us while using the eye. The Fire Keeper adjacent Attendants were sent out to pair with Successors in order to prevent them from frenzying. From the looks of things, they sort of home in on Crypts and thus Eva's Attendant didn't appear until she created the Crown of Sand. As for why Io, our Attendant, shows up, I imagine it's either special privilege as Successor of the Blood or random chance that she stumbled across us and bonded on the spot. Cruz, shown in Louis' memories, is the person who became the Queen and is also Silva's daughter. Silva is honestly an absolute badass and far superior to Gwyn in terms of moral fiber, even to the last breath. Karen, as Successor of the Heart, is the source of all the Blood Beads. Due to her abnormally high compatibility, she is able to influence her relic to manipulate the Mistles left by the Queen. Also: Code Vein is connected to another game series! God Eater! The Horror shown during the cutscene where Silva briefly frenzies is a Dyaus Pita from the God Eater series, and it's implied through dialogue and the DLCs that God Eater is happening outside the Gaol of the Mists. It's probably before the end of God Eater 1 based on a certain detail from the ending, but quite frankly I can't fault the devs if they neglected to colour the moon differently for the sake of a tangential connection to a completely different game. [End of spoilers] This was a really fun video to watch, and I will always appreciate people showing their love for a game (especially if those happen to be the same games I love). I initially found you from the Monster Hunter Frontier video, and intend to stick around into the future. Looking forward to more stuff from you! (Maybe a video on the Code Vein DLC? Probably not, it kinda blows. But still, maybe.)
At least you didn't need to go through the skull king to get to final boss after every death.
TRUE, I'd have been pissed. 😂
There were alternate endings, and you have to pick up everything in the level before the bosses of the areas to get it
Ahh, makes sense. Didn't even think about different endings.
@@LouTwoShoes its why you were unable to save some people, its not really communicated well
@@Animoia OH SHIT, that's actually dope. Had no clue. 😂
@@LouTwoShoes 1 year late but yeah you have to find all the memory fragments in the zone, which will lead to the true ending
Waifu Simulator
My favorite game EVER
Lmao fair 😂

20:35 you cant because you did not restore all of her memories before defeating her (thats is also how you optain 1 of the 4 endings in this game)
