Your Caroline impression is SPOT ON. Honestly you’re able to convey their emotions soooo well just in this recap form!! I literally cried listening to you explain the ending of season four 😭 to be fair I have seen it a few times so I have the memory of watching and experiencing it, but you’re a great story teller!!! I’ve been going through a really hard time with my health and recap deep dives on here have been getting me through it. I recently have hit the bottom of the well, unable to find more comedic and entertaining ones that didn’t sound like soulessly reading from a script but this series is feeding my SOULLLLL. Sarah J Maas doesn't kill anyone of significance ever. That's something that bothered me even in TOG. I didn't want her to kill my favorite characters but after everything... just one character is not enough...

I just started ACOTAR after finishing Kingdom of Ash and I feel like I can't watch any more of these because after watching the KoA ones and the first part of the tandem read one I already almost know how ACOTAR will end. The way SJM made Bryce so unpleasant in the third book is part of the reason I couldn’t finish CC3. Omg and the info dumps?! SJM really disappointed me with this book and that makes me so sad because I like the CC series AND I love Nesta, but feel like both were treated so uncharacteristically that it pissed me off.

This recap made me feel so validated I was screaming internally everything you said here 🥲 so disappointing I loved CC1, CC2 was meh and CC3 was just not good apart from Lidia and Ruhn.

Actually, Katherine's fated generation soulmate doppelganger wouldn't have been Stefan. She was in the 1400s, but because she got banished by her family from Bulgaria due to having a baby at 17 she had met Elijah and Klaus and then had been on the run for years so she never got the chance to meet her fated mated. Same with Stefan hes from the 1800's, he didn't meet his fated generation doppelganger because Katherine found him first when passing through Mystic Falls and then got him killed at 17, which made him turn into a vamp and had gone on his 1st ripper rampage so he didn't meet his generational doppelganger.

I've been struggling to get through book 3. It's so much heavier and more depressing than I thought it would be, and I wasnt prepared for that, coming from ACOTAR. I'm here to have it all spoiled because I just don't know if I can make it through. Thanks for doing these videos. I haven't decided yet if I want to pick the books back up, but really, Manon's seems to be the most interesting storyline so far

I can't imagine having read EOS at time of publication, and then reading TOD at publication, separately. I actually hate Chaol a little less than most people I think, so I really enjoyed his story with Yrene. Where I was super bored in TOD was with the story arc of Nesryn and Sartaq, though as we see later, it's all important. EOS was a 5-star read for me though!

Thinking about doing the tandem is intimidating but actually doing it with the guide is actually very easy! And worth it! It works great if doing the audiobooks as well.

I just recently finished the whole series (now starting ACOTAR) and I'm not quite ready to let go of the series so I'm really enjoying these recap videos!! I'm reliving it. Thank you for doing these! 💕
