Hey, Dr king I heard so much about you and you taught some of my friends. They told me how much you are knowledgeable and they are a great RTS because of you! I am reaching out and asking for help, would you please tutor me? Please Let me know if you have time I tried to find your email but I couldn't. Thank you in advanced and I hope you see my comments.
We are getting an error message stating a patient file is locked and we need to return the system to the main menu to unlock it. Have you ever seen this?
I am a Respiratory therapy student I would like to thank you so much for the informative video, please make more for all the other RT devices thank you
The profile information is incorrect, backwards actually. The correct statement is the smaller the patient the lower the profile. Example:Infants profile 1 vs adult profile 9. See manual
As a patient who knows about the Spontaneous Breathing Trial option, I'm a long term ventilator dependent, and I use the SBT function to set the ventilator to CPAP/PS for a few minutes. It has a timer obviously, so It'll go back to assist control after the time has Elapsed. It gives me a chance to breathe on my own with high Pressure Support for a few minutes. I know the Respiratory Field very well. VERY VERY well, and so I know how to use this option. It is a WONDERFUL option that most home care patients have no idea, but I know what an SBT is, so I use it to do short trials off the ventilator.
I was really hoping that you were going to turn some oxygen on... My father just got one of these and it is deafeningly loud! I wanted to see one working to compare if that's normal or this thing is just busted.
basic but acceptable, your correct about he Mrk 8 but failed to explain the "why" for the "negative pressure control" thats why the pressure manometer had a -40 ! Only the Mrk 8.
What do you do if you don't see a mist coming through prior to putting the mask on the patient? This has happened to me. The connections are good, and I've increase the flow but I don't see a mist.
Hello, One of our Dräger C500 vents will not pass Pressure sensor calibration valve and Expiratory valve tests. We believe this problem developed from using some sticky nebulizer treatments on a sick patient. We've tried replacing the expiratory valve and flow sensor three different times with no luck. Do you have any advice on how to get it to pass? Thanks.
I appreciate this video thank you for clearing up I-time in noninvasive ventilation. However, I observe that your volume curve fell off a lot quicker when you reduced the I-time. I was wondering, wouldn’t it be good to leave the I-time at .8 sec. or higher since the little delay in time, which you called breath holding, allows for better alveolar/capillary gas exchange?
Great video and explanation-Just a quick observation - I’m very picky with body posture- leg 🦵 position both feet on the floor slightly separated- body straight, and an even level of the chin in relation to the mouthpiece. It helps with chest movement and chest hold- 🥰
Rise time was invented for further manipulation of the I Time due to abnormal lung anatomy like severe COPD, or RLD. or someone with Keto acidosis/airhunger. To meet the inspiration deman and to ventilate to have good IE ratios.
Very detailed explanation
Shouldn’t you use a valved mask?
good afternoon sir.. please allow the instructions. I have a problem with the Bennet 840, the compressor load test failed
Selamat siang pak izin saya bertanya kalau kompressor load test failed

Can you do the RA calibration only on the HFNC, Or you have to do both before putting a patient on it?
Worst part about this vent is when u go from PSV to another mode and back to psv, no matter how quick it resets PS to 0, even tho it’s same pt
That alarm makes me want to barf

If there are patients on Venturi masks (eg: 35 percent at 8 l/m),which connector should I use for nebulisation ?
Thank you

Where do we find total blower hours?
Don't think the LTV has blower hours.
Can anyone tell what's the LEV version of it?
