Could u make a video about what a mature person/couple + optional kids would have to pack, for hiking/survival, list from tactical tools such as axe, knife, medial supplies, and so on? Reallg digging the channel and your swifty explanations. Peace from the Netherlands!❤
Great video! 😮
Maybe some scissors and a razor if part of the beard needs to go, to get a better fit with the gas mask.
When are you going to make new videos Alex you made a promise you would love your videos
Great pack; what I would add (and probably you have, maybe you forgot to mention) is some kind of cloth or scarf + an insulated bottle of water if you need to clean, hydrate, or even wash your eyes or face from the tier gas. Also, if is legal in your country, acquire yourself a good set of lockpicks and hydrant cross key
Fantastic video thank you 🇨🇦
I carry a large wool blanket and mylar emergency bag
I get having good gear and I've spent a fortune on gear but a $500 rain poncho? Wowza
So far so good, but what about a ponchotarp because of wet clothes, hypothermia (gearswifts makes them out of dcf, there's nothing lighter with that durability), a survival blanket and probably a tealight to sit somewhere hidden and stay warm for some hours (sit on the ground, put the mylar around you and place the candle between your legs, that's toasty warm, very nice).
The only gear that matters is what you can carry.
Definitely true 🤙🏻
Flashlight. Little one. Lifesaver.
Agreed!
Very good video. I found some small pocket clips that are about one inch (2.5 cm). They attach easily to the loop on the Swiss Army Knife. That keeps your SAK riding higher in your pocket and makes it much more pleasant to carry. I attached another of the clips to a single cell AAA battery flashlight. That light gets cliped in the pants' leg of cargo pants or shorts if I'm wearing cargo style pants. I always have a single blade folding knife in my support hand pocket. The SAK in my other pocket, or a multitool on my belt, plus a pistol. The SAK has the small ferro rod that replaces the toothpick, plus a very sharp, heavy-duty pin in the hole under the awl. The pin is great for digging out thorns and splinters. If I have a fanny pack on, I'll usually have a headlamp with a red light option, a water bottle, compass, ferro rod, lighter, and an emergency poncho. I just got folding cushion made for sitting on. When folded, it is about the size of two deck of playing cards. It unfolds to provide you a dry place to sit, and they only weigh a couple of ounces. I often hunt feral pigs at night on private land I lease to hunt. Even though I know it pretty well, it's very easy to get turned around in the dark while in thick brush. So, I started carrying a compass in my pocket in addition to my phone. Sometimes, the thick woods affect cell reception. I will probably also start carrying a tourniquet and some kind of first aid bandages. Clear eye protection is very handy to have when in thick brush after dark. And bug repellant. I carry the Tinker Swiss Army Knife around town, and the Hiker in the woods. I like the Phillips head screw driver they both have, and their very light weight compared to many SAKs. If I expect to need more tools, I carry a Leatherman in a pouch as I hate having my pockets crammed with gear. I have more tools such as an ax and saw in a nearby vehicle if I'm at the hunting property. I'm also not normally building anything or making noise when I'm hunting. If I carry a pack then I have a lot more with me, but that's outside the discussion for this video.
Awesome set up man!! I really want to build a kit like this, but most likely it would have to stay home. My edc is just a black victorinox explorer and a olight i3t 2. Super basic but I do use both of them everyday. Also when would your website be back up?
Thank you. Very good tips and I loved your demonstrations.
Great stuff thanks 🔥

Great video. Subscribed!
Despite recent developments, here in Europe, I am still optimistic and not too convinced that a BOB requires to be very tactical. I believe that the main goal is to get out, be sustained for 1-3 days and be able to get back safely. But I agree and applaud your stance that the situation will be subjective based on location, surroundings and responsibilities. But since you raised the question about the gas mask, I think if I had the money, I would carry one; yes. Reason being that I would try to do whatever I can to stay active and take responsibility for longer (if necessary) for those I move with. Especially with a family, taking the lead is mandatory, as not everyone can (or wants to) train these situations equally. But since I am a dog owner (small dog) and there's very little options to protect him as well, some situations would be more challenging and should be avoided.
How you dont have millions of subscribers is a mystery to me. Keep up the great work
@alex a vid about whats in my camera pack/Outdoor Style Version would be awesome!
It would be a cool idea!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
@AlexWander Would love to see a behind the scenes. When you're out and about outdoors and how you film yourself, and what photo/video equipment you have with you besides your edc or pack.
What pain killer do you use? Are they opioid based?
Hi Alex. I really need to get my hands on one of these blades here in South Africa. Any idea how we can make this happen?
Where can I get that jacket?
I think you can find it online, it's a Fjallraven Smock N1
@ thank you

What kind of lighter do you use?
A normal Bic Lighter with the Exotac Fire Sleeve 🤙
I'm a hobo. On and off the road since 1996. Most of the things were overkill. But for the green, good stuff, the most important part of your video was dogs. Dogs dogs, dogs dogs, dog dogs dogs, dogs, dogs dogs. I lost my girl. Dogs are so Important for everything
So sorry to hear that, and Thanks you for sharing your experience! 🙏
Outstanding kit. Great ideas. Only thing i would suggest is a bottle sleeve for your everyday water bottle/coffee thermos. When things get squirely, we all get thristy.
You are definitely right! Thanks for sharing!
Do you carry a bow and arrow?
Did you just make a grenade?
Nope I just made a tripwire alarm 👍
I used to use the railroads to travel past curfew as a teenager. Amazing how efficient they are for travel on foot. Good shout
I would add some tabacco products/airplane bottles of alcohol. Great bartering tools and a way to clean wounds.
Great video Friend Appreciate you...🙏🫶🇬🇧🌄
