Hidden rust on a mk5 transit, common area around inner wheel arches and floor. These repairs were carried out on a budget and a have a go attitude. If you don't try you never know. The more I remove the more rust to be found. Using a 150amp mig with argon gas.

    Great work, although I could not find in your vid (nor in part 4) the actual work on the replacement of the valve seals and re-sitting the valves -the type of work I love to do- but anyways, I wondered; did you not see or check if there were gas-bubbles escaping from the expansion vessel if overpressure-cap was off? That's how I found out on my Iveco 35-8 where the real troubles were (see my channel). Good voice-over !

    Guys, hello from Ukraine! If you have a lever-and-screw puller to press the tapered pin out of the hole, there is no need to remove the hub from the machine. And if removed, then the finger is simply knocked out with a hammer. The bolts with which the ball joint is attached to the lever are installed with the head up. In general, all the bolts are installed with the head up so that they do not fall out if the nut is unscrewed. My nickname on the forums is "черный_чак" or "cherniy_chack"

      @@paphotography5183 ok, i thought it had something that would heat up the mixture so it would start up more easy. I asked cause im having some problem starting up mine (turbo diesel 2.5, 1998), not everytime, and its summer so the weather isn't cold. Its like before it would start up just right after turning the key, and now sometimes its like for 2/3seconds it has some difficulty to keep going to get really turning normally. the other day it wouldnt even start up , and then when tried to bleed the fuel circuit, it started up. Theres no fuel leaks, anywhere i can see, theres no problem cruising, its really just starting up. The battery seems ok, and its not necessarilythe first start up of the day, but usually after i roll some time and i make a stop for an hour or two, then it has a problem starting up, so i really dont know what is going on. If you have any idea what might be.. thanks

    • @paphotography5183
      @paphotography5183 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tiagomartins36 Sounds like you may have an air leak. Firstly check all the leak off pipes as they can cause an air leak. The fuel filter housing is also worth a check. Try replacing the fuel filter. Defiantly sounds like air in fuel. I've made copper leak off pipes on mine as the mice kept eating the pipe work. Used brake pipe as leak off pipe. Good luck..
