I was fortunate enough to find a lid to a Stirling silver fob watch with the owners name inscribed on the inside. Wonderful find, but it has always been bits and pieces for me too. Excellent find Camille, Congratulations, id be buzzing too! Cheers!

Roger, (being the cool cat he is) didn't even flinch 😺😻. I played that part over several times! I'm stoked because when I was about 6 y/o a bat landed on my shoulder one evening while I was on the beach. I've been fond of the little critters ever since! I have a Garrett metal detector and have only used it a few times, but now that I see you are a pro, I'm going to stick around, subscribe, and learn some skills from you! Hopefully, I can find some hidden treasures 🤞🏻

That wedge on the bottom certainly looks like where it would attach to a frame. Remember way back when there were a lot of homemade arms. Clean it up and check for rifling, if it’s smoothbore it could be old old 🤷‍♂️

Nice mix of finds Camille 👌 you're right there's no bad targets and each one tells a story. Junky targets on the beach will tell you alot about what you might find, same as predecimals or modern coins. My favourite is to find old glass 1800s to early 1900s, old gold usually isn't far away. Agreed, never a bad target, because of the plastics, glass, and ceramics you can find as well. Plus, that copper pipe can also be a copper decoration or bowl or something. ❤️🙏🔥😊🔥

With new gear I got I pulled my self up on gear got 800 and xterra pro why most 🎯 targets 5 ins at most on beach 🏖 16 ins one target 🎯 most drops 4 ins at most 900 sold it up graded pinpointers got the lot always carry 2 but still pin pointers all new so there is 1000.00 just in them.😂

But I do agree that it is a good target, until it isn't! And theres only one way to find out. I reckon that spoon was a baby spoon, given that the bird was a stork! Could be a photo frame, but I think the hinge says otherwise, unless it had two photos in it, one on each panel. After a meal of finds, its always good to clean your teeth! Cheers Camille!

It’s a heavy duty swivel used on tow lines for land tow or Crain lift operations. The swivel prevents the cable from breaking under heavy loads, and helps to better position the landing location of a load if lowered by a crane. 😊

I don’t know for sure but my educated guess is it’s an old way to reconnect snapped wire rope. Again I am just talkin out my ass and don’t know for sure
