    Good morning Camille! Hooray for the Thrips, Sometimes there the hardest coin to chase, its almost like there running away from me, You know there's something down there, and they're very good at evasion, But I love it when I catch them! Nice to see some Commonwealth pennys in the mix, To bad about the ring! Felt the earth tremor early this morning, its like I woke up just to experience it, And its a reminder that we all live on shaky ground. Doubt that you felt it in Canberra, it felt very mild here! Thanks for a morning hunt, Cheers Camille!

      @@waynearmstrong5233 good morning!! And yes those thrips do run away the cheeky little silvers I know exactly what you mean.
      Stay safe out there!! Catch you next time!! I’m off swinging now! With the roos (real 🦘 not the penny kind)

      You got that right! Another hunt. And another. Sometimes it’s a bit harder to find a patch and maybe there’s a few less finds.. but all it takes is one to make a great hunt. Cheers!!

      Thanks Andrew. The haul gets a bit smaller. And the coins also small.. but next I return in All Metal and dig the stuff I discriminated out. I just keep going back! Happy hunting. Catch you next time.

      Thanks Gary! And I haven’t even hunted it properly in All Metal. Which is next! They just knocked down the dwellings and left the rubbish and buried it. There’s also asbestos unfortunately so some areas I’m not allowed to disturb/dig at all. Cheers mate.

    In all the years I had gone metal deteting you have to get rid of trash to find the treasures

    • @10TargetsDetecting
      @10TargetsDetecting  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah for sure. I lifted and moved a large sheet of metal that was about an inch down, at a site, detected under it and boom 💥 silver coins! Was worth it. And moving the rubbish reveals some treasure sometimes. Good luck and happy hunting.

    I think it's pretty selfish taking historic items for yourself - they should be in museums. Also do you have permission to fossick on private or public land? And as far as I know it's illegal to prospect in National Parks and Reserves, especially if your causing damage to the environment by digging.

    • @10TargetsDetecting
      @10TargetsDetecting  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@JJones-h9v hi. Do you even watch my videos? Ofc I have permission. And anything historic that a museum would like, would be gifted to them. What’s better - leaving it in the ground? Or unearthing it? The condition of things we find are often so bad they are considered trash to most. Nothing I do is illegal and most find it interesting.

      @@10TargetsDetectingI agree with you buuuuuutttttttt there is some cases where leaving it in the ground is actually better, like if there's going to be archeologist there it's better for them to find everything and what layer it was in, but still, if it beeps I'll dig it, best historical thing I found was a 1800s match safe

    • @mrspankytank2858
      @mrspankytank2858 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unless it’s a major “historical” find, most museums don’t give a damn to be honest. I now have a huge collection of Native American artifacts (a lot of very well preserved tools etc) found in creek beds dating back a few thousand years and they could care less. They’re not rude about it, there’s just plenty being found and constant emails from people hoping they found something awesome enough to be displayed for all to see. Speaking from experience.
