@@shepardsonp yes. With that hitch installed I can. Without it, my tailgate will hit the jack
Had the same LG sparkplug problem on a new SUA3800ied generator. The integral resistor is cracked in their ceramic oven firing. Prove it by measuring with an ohm meter. Problem gets worse as the plug warms up due to thermal expansion of the cracked resistor.
It took me 4 hours to get that 10mm bolt out. Luckily mines a 2008 and I didn't have to loosen the motor mounts but I had to bend the heat shield slightly. Ive got 2 bolts left on the turbo at the exhaust flange. Both nuts on the right side. I tried like hell and slipped, busted damn knuckles and realized my dumb ass was using a 12 point wrench😂. Pissed me off even more I could be so damn careless.!. If i can't get it off today after work I'm just gonna unbolt the exhaust manifold and bring it off in one piece. BUT that 10mm bolt on the inside of the oil drain tube is a M-FER! AND GENTLEMEN, if your trucks delted it cuts your time in half. Take battery out, battery tray, tire and fender plastic off and have it
@@chriswhite2686 lol. Yea that 10mm bolt is the stuff of bad dreams. As if it didn't suck enough that your having to do this job anyway. There is a 10mm bolt on the bottom of the turbo thats the Suck cherry On top.

That’s a damn nice garage
These scooters are junk. I have the exact same one. Here lately it only turns on when it wants to. One day I'll turn it on and it will be fine. I'll ride it no problems. The next day it wont turn on at all, then later on it will. I've also had it leave me stranded as I rode it a couple miles and turned it off. Come back a few minutes later now it wont turn back on. This past week it had been working flawlessly. Turned on every time and ran fine. Ran the battery down to 25%. Plugged it in and it charged to 100%. Now it wont turn on at all. I figured I'd give it a day or 2 and it would start working again. Nope its been 5 days and still wont turn back on. I should add that this is a refurbished unit they sent me. My original one wouldn't charge to 100%. I sent it to Okai for repair and they said they couldn't repair it and sent me this refurbished unit which was in worse shape than my original one. Now the refurbished unit won't work. My wifes Neon 2 ES20 also had to go back for repair. The headlight would stay on even when the scooter was off. I couldn't turn it off. It would finally turn off when the battery died. Put the scooter on charge and as soon as the battery get a little bit of juice the light would come back on. I sent that one back to Okai and they replaced the display. Hers has been fine ever since but I have no faith in this company. I'll never buy another Okai product for as long as I live.
@@Volfan812 Yea. Thats dissapointing. I wouldnt buy another one myself. I dont really know what I would buy. Maybe a Segway. Other than telling you to pull up the rubber mat and pull out the speed controller and unplug and reconnect all the connections. I wouldnt have any real concrete advice for your scooter. I've seen problems like that come down to a corroded or poorly seated connection before. But , it's not the most likely scenario. It is possible though.
The clunk is very hard to explain. Lol. My 2018 2500 ram is doing the exact same thing. Thank you very much!
Has anyone else had the speedometer stop working
@@dejeanmcquillar3206 i have never heard of that myself. There is a speed sense wire on the speed controller. It's how it limits your speed to 20mph. Without the logic of its own speed. It would go above 20mph. Since it's constantly monitoring speed. It automatically slows you down when it creeps past 20 or, really creeps past the max speed limit for whatever mode your in . This is most obvious when going down a hill. Not that I would really be able to know what's wrong with it. But it would be interesting to know if the speed limiting feature is working.
You make it look easy!
@@GregMcDowellq It was
Famous last words, “If it’s wrong, you’ll likely never get to the hole…”
Have the same generator. It started up first time for me on propane. I never touched anything on it. I can’t believe that a spark plug would make that difference.
@@jimmcc2543 Yea. On gas. You can get away with a junk spark plug more often than not. On propane. Not so much. Propane is less volatile than gasoline. It needs a good hot and healthy spark. Which was unavailable with this junk trash plug. Never heard of an LG spark plug. But that was the fix.
FES can happen even in a Rear bed model, so it has nothing to do with a front storage compartment. I know numerous people who have had FES with no storage compartment.

@@737mechanic I'm glad you saw this video as well. You need this hitch, you'll be glad you bought it. Thanks for watching!
as potential customer this is a bit concerning primarily because i cant find many reviews on this scooter
Man, this is a sight for sore eyes. Thank you for posting this Angrybeard. I just cracked open the box on this model, which I ordered over a year ago. Crazy backfiring on propane starts, fine on petrol. Can't wait to buy the plug and install it. Thank you, wish me luck . . . .
Ok, well now I've watched the whole video. I'll see if my stepper motor is broke up. If you're seeing this, Angrybeard (Chris?), I don't have a tenth of your mechanical skills. Should I check that slide you referenced at the end of the video for uneven play, to confirm whether I need to order one? Also, good call pulling the plug (no pun intended) on that last "experiment". Yer buddy owes you a beer my man. Thanks again for posting this, I'd be down all kinds of rabbit holes without this.
@@Carricknagavna as long as the backfiring didn't ruin the electric choke on your carburetor. You'll be fine after the spark plug install. Let me know how it goes..
@@angrybeard4673 On order now, will do. Thanks again for posting this, good grief.
@@angrybeard4673, quick update: got the recommended sparky and now it runs on propane! Who'd a thunk it, man? Thank you again! But DuroMax: a spark plug, really? I wonder whether the guy who suggested the original plug is still there. I'm not dead sure yet the gear teeth in the stepper motor aren't compromised - the choke feels ok to me by touch, although it requires adjustment shortly after starting on propane or it punks out (maybe that's normal). In any event great video and saved me all kinds of grief. Much appreciated.
Great post! I like em both. U R wise In a crisis two is one and one is none. Parallel two 5000 and have a 10,000 If one goes out your still in business. Can you say if this helps with trailer sway? I have a 12klb 34’ TT that I need a hitch to help with sway. Have a f350 srw which is rated for way more than the camper. Thx
@@wodwagon2056 I can give you my opinion and some facts. Fact: your trailer should be level when attatched to the hitch. If it can't be perfectly level it should favor a nose down direction. Fact: There is no indication that this hitch should help control trailer sway. Fact: Before I bought this hitch I did have a slight amount of occasional trailer sway. Usually while driving through a long curve on the highway. For some reason that almost completely went away after installing this hitch. There are anti sway bar assemblies that can be purchased and installed and there job is to control trailer sway. I've never used them and I have no experience with them. My truck is a dodge 3500 . It is a dually. From my perspective , based on conversations I've had with various people over the years. It appears that the trucks today that have coil springs in the rear rather than leaf springs. It appears that they struggle more with trailer sway issues due to the squishy nature of a partially loaded coil spring. That's a theory and I can't validate it other than to say it's been a topic of conversation. Something to note maybe. But, not like you can do anything about it other than maybe consider an anti sway kit. Sorry I dont have a solid answer for your question. Goodluck on your journey and thanks for reaching out. Regards AB
@ thanks. I am spot on level. I have the Andersen WDH and felt like it has done nothing to help. I may bite the bullet and buy the ProPride. This hitch looks like it would work well for a smooth ride though. Thx
The problem is it's a Dodge many of them have problems with either the differential or the transmission I'm not knocking a Dodge but I have never had a problem with Ford differentials
@@78fordtruck4 LOL. Well. You are correct about that. They have other issues too. They all do. However it would be just wrong if I failed remind everyone of a fun Ford fact. They gave everyone the infamous 6.0 liter engine. Which was not only a self destructive little beast. But is also responsible for delayed treatment and even death for those who had the misfortune of taking an ambulance ride in in a 6.0 equipped unit. I had a Ford with the 6.0. I loved that truck but , it got sick and just had to go. Dodge front axles have shit geometry so they're always ruining ball joints too. Turbo actuators go out. EGR coolers crack. They all have there thing. I personally like the 6.7 liter Fords. I like the Ford chassis better, I like the interior better, the way they drive better. The 6.7 is a beast. But. I have a dodge. I have had many dodges. I do find the Fords are more attractive. Though they're 10 speed transmission madness is a mess. I'll tell you what really sucks. It just seems like nowadays these manufacturers are in such a hurry to get shit out to market. They seem to have lowered there quality control. Leaving the customer as the tested for the product and then fixing the major shit that they can't get away with ignoring through recalls and warranty. Making it your problem.
Maybe no problem. With differential. But when that cp4 blows its a 7 thousand dollar fix if ya do it yourself. 10 thousand if pay someone.
More likely to be the carrier bearing than the diff with that little excess backlash. You can adjust that easily by dropping the driveshaft.
@@dwarrowdane1 there is no play at the carrier bearing. That would be verified by pushing on it. It has no movement
Man that's a nice machine! I'm looking to get a Mule 1000 soon and will be mimicking this build when I do.
That hitch looks like an Engineering Marvel! Very well thought out and it solved your problem.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I ordered and replaced the sparkplug this morning amd it started up on propane the first time without backfiring!!!
@@howardrfrank that's great to hear. Thanks for the feedback. I hate that everyone is having this issue. It's an induced problem. Induced by the decision to use a cheap inferior sparkplug rather than a proven performer. All to save a few bucks I assume. Nobody would've noticed an extra 5 dollars added to the price of the generator and they gladly would've paid it to avoid the aggrevation of this shitty plug. So annoying! Extra annoying in my case because it took out the stepper motor on 3 carburetors as I recall. Unbelievable. So they did cut corners and go cheap with this generator but it's still a good generator. Goodluck to you and thanks for reaching out
Doesn't it say in the manual that you cannot use idle control when using propane and only when using gas?
@@videoforgeeks yes. As I recall it does. However the backfire issue which is the central theme of this video. Is caused by and resolved by the spark plug. The backfire that occurs has nothing to do with idle control.
Hello, good afternoon, the screws where my scooter bends broke. How can I fix it?
@@AlvaroNarveza i assume that you are talking about the screws that hold the rear wheel cover in place. Just drill them out and replace them with new screws. They are not real critical so if you mess up the threads you can just force screws to go back in. It's not ideal that's for sure. But I dont know what else to suggest. Whatever is left in the screw holes must come out somehow. They are to tiny to be able to use a screw extractor on. Just use a drill bit that isn't any bigger than it needs to be to clean up the hole
Glad I finally got to see the interior of your camper!

Wish there was a video on an easy way to remove the tire... Damn thing doesn't budge no matter what I do.
@@Zephyr_Weiss I have never actually removed the tire from the wheel. Not sure what it takes.
Front or rear tire?
Actually. It doesn't really matter. I studied it. If it's the front. You just have to remove the speed controller so you can unplug the harness for the front wheel. As for the actual tire. You just need to get some tire spoons. I'd look for something smaller than automotive spoons. Most likely to locate them in a Google search for lawnmower tire removal tool or something along those lines.
Best TJ Rear Axle Bearing Video on here! Easy Peasy! Thank you!
how would you propose a tent keep you completely dry in the rain and also allow for better ventilation?
I really appreciate this video. It helps in making an informed purchasing decision.
I heat only with wood in Michigan. Have for 22 years. The last 3-4 years of my firewood have been cut solely with an EGO CS1800 running Stihl 63PS full chisel chain. Battery selection is critical. You need a battery big enough to handle the current. The 2.5 ah battery overheats too easily. You also need minimum 3 batteries and two chargers to keep working continuously, cutting, splitting, loading, charging two batteries in the meantime. I recently bought the CS2000. It's a much better saw than the 1800. Many of my complaints were addressed in the CS2000. It's more demanding on batteries though, and heavier. So far I like it. But, these saws will cost you more than a gas saw in the long run (if you do your own maintenance on a gas saw). Batteries are expensive and only last about 3 years with heavy use. Gas is WAY cheaper. However, maintenance is almost nothing on these saws and convenience is outstanding. They are also quiet and exhaust fume free. I have professional level gas saws as large as 80cc. Haven't started one in 3 years.

Exactly if you put the chiminy on the other side the wind will take the smoke away from the tent
@@brianroberts5176 lol. Your misunderstanding. The wind made the fireplace work backwards. It started drawing air from the chimney and exhausting smoke into the tent. The smoke wasn't from the wind outside blowing it back inside the tent. It was a backdraft
Unfortunately sometimes you have to put the door on the other side when there's going to be storms wind try it ,my neighbor has his chimney on the rong side of the house he always gets some backdraft, I never ever gave any problems problems
You need a bigger stove
West
I mean from the wast sorry
Just like at a house chimney always goes on the east side wind usually comes from the east😊
@@brianroberts5176 here where I live. The wind comes from the southwest 85% of the time. It never comes from the east. Ever. It does come from the north at times. Either because a strong front is dropping into texas from the north or a storm is moving things around. I would say that the wind generally comes from the west almost everywhere in the US because that's the direction the juetstrwam generally flows.
Sometimes you have to put the door faceing so the chimney is on the other side of the wind,if the stove was on the other side it would not do that.
@@brianroberts5176 so unfortunately what happens when a front comes in is that the wind changes directions. Therefore the wind is not blowing in the same direction at midnight as it was when you set your tent up. The reality here is that. You can't control everything. This kind of shit does happen sometimes. It shouldn't be something that stops anyone from enjoying camping and being out in nature.
