By chance do you know the dimensions of the thumb button (gesture) switches? In addition to my LMB, the thumb also died but it's a different height switch.
Now that's crazy. I love my LoupeDeck CT, but at the moment, Logitech got to get themseselves together and release new functionality and upgrades.
I just bought mine. What do you wish Logitech would add

Thank you @eBoard3R really appreciate it! glad you enjoyed the vid and really good to hear your input on this matter :)
get a hairdryer and hit your set up with it using the cold setting nice video
Hey … I’m goin to take a run at making a version of this workstation…. Can you give a some vids to learn the basics of modeling inserts for my components? Keyboard… and the logo tech controller I’m plan on buying
I think thats a great video idea and theres one in the making already although its been pushed furhter and further back as other projects rolled in but ill do my best to get something like that out :)
I watched yannic school art asmr and as i understood it was you who did the lighting? It's actually really good. +not wanting to be weird but you're actually so handsome and i like your accent. Have a good day ✨️
:) I indeed worked with Yannic on that project, really enjoy working with him, and thank you really appreciate it :)
either a track ball or a magnetic mouse pad on a gas arm mount with magnets into a custom 3d mouse chassis over an existing mouse
Sounds really intresting indeed, i had considered mounting a trackball onto the keyboard mounts for this one but the distance between the two was a little inconvenient, ill be sure to look into it ;)
@FlatLanderTech lots of youtubers out there showing how to set up eye tracking for cursors. Lock and unlock, left and rightclick etc and be binded to a macro pad
Cool setup. I wasn't sure about the keyboard setup, but it ended up working flawlessly!
hey i realy love your videos. They are made so well from every espect but this new youtube auto translation feature just screws it up entirely. I think you can turn it off for your channel. It would be extremly nice :D
Thank you I'm really glad you enjoy the videos! :) could you elaborate as to what's happening with the auto translation feature, is it not translating my voice properly or is there something else ?
dude this is so cool
I agree with @lartdumix👍
Flatlander X Scott Yu-Jan would be legendary. You're both so inspirational
No like fr😭
I'm glad your enjoying the vids, I find Scot Yu-Jan's work inspirational aswel, great creator :)
Hey Justin! Again another awesome video. Your keyboard setup reminds me of the Typeware, a Dutch startup. I think you will find it interesting if you care about ergonomics and XR glasses.
Wooaaa, i was just thinking of building something like that! that's so awesome thank you for sharing !!
i have seen this in. WAll-E. hahah.. Amazing job my Man! You are one of the genius youtubers i watch.
thahaha it seems a lot of stuff is heading in that direction indeed XD appreciate the continued support :)
Question: HDMI Adapter what brand is this? My HDMI Adapter ist powered by Usb and very bulky. Since a long time ago I use AR Glases, like them because you have a big screen and can also see the surroundings and the look not completely ridiculous like the apple vision pro. Since short time I switched to the virtue glasses, because they have Dioptrie compensation in it and you don’t need extra glasses for the AR Glasses. Current is this they way to go to work every were.
Killer
Hey @MarkusReinisch this is the one I personally bought, it works quite well for these glasses amzn.to/3VMlvHo. Awesome to hear your experience with this stuff! checked out the virtue AR glasses you mentioned they look really awesome great to see the inclusion of the dioptrie compensation dial indeed! Wish you a lovely week appreciate the continued support :)
@@FlatLanderTech ok same HDMI Adapter as I have. Like the dioptrie compensation because it makes it easier because my eyes are not everyday the same.
Sometimes you come across TH-cam channels, and you think, "Wow, this guy deserves way more than 100,000 subscribers!" Your videos are amazing, and I really appreciate your technical skills. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed really appreciate it! :)
Love the channel, but way too many sponsorships and advertisements recently. It’s starting to be a real turn off. Just go back to building incredible stuff.
So you are expecting that he would spend a lot of his time making these things and even more time to film and edit those videos, pay his own money for all the equipment such as cameras lights etc and do all these things for free and not have any sponsorship?
It is a small channel and he spends huge amounts of time to design and build the stuff and produce the videos at the amazing quality he does. How’s a man supposed to live if he doesn’t get paid for his time? In my opinion at least he does exceptionally well at integrating sponsorships into his project and doesn’t just build something a company told him to when it doesn’t actually fit into his style of builds and content. Obviously ads are annoying but I think his commitment definitely deserves a payoff.
He's giving us amazing, free content and you complain about sponsorships? If the sponsor product was super out of place I would understand, but in this case, it fits setup and concept. People are never happy with anything
Random question, why do you say "we" when it only ever seems to be you working on this project seemingly just for yourself?
I feel its a collaborative project between the viewer ( you ) and me. we make stuff, not necessarily the physical object, its more the fact that the process is shared, so I do the projects more for this experience which is then externalized and shared with you.
7:54 - This will become fat mens world! 🤣
I can only recommend the Electric Dust Blowers that plug into mains. Additonally, building one of those box fan hvac filters is probably helpful in very dusty enviroments.
I appreciate the suggestion its indeed quite dusty. I was actually thinking of getting a leaf blower for the apartment.
Great video and excellent choice of music bed. I’m a BMD fan boy, but I’ve never understood why they (nor Apple now I think about it) offer backlighting on control surfaces like the Soeed Efitor. So much of the time, we’re working in subdued lighting or darkness. How hard would it be to offer the choice of dimmable backlit keys. Would your ambition of swapping out physical keys allow that in any way?
Awesome project! I love seeing people create stuff based on how they ACTUALLY use their devices rather than designing and making something flashy or aesthetically pleasing that ends up being far too impractical to use on a daily basis. Plus I adore the calmness of how you recorded this video and your more natural commentary, it feels more like we're having a chat on the sofa with a cup of tea, rather than being shouted at or feeling like I'm watching yet another "influencer" trying to sell me on something. Subbed before I even got halfway through the vid! :) One question - does all those added peripherals alter the weight balance of the iPad? I only ask because weight balance could make using it for long periods tiring and strain your wrist, so I'm wondering how comfortable it is over prolonged use and if it feels like it wants to tip in one direction or another?
Really appreciate it @DavidStruveDesigns in terms of balance its quite centered maybe a bit top heavy, yet in terms of overall weight its a bit much right now which makes handheld use quite tiring, I mostly use it on a microphone arm, connected via the Arca Swiss plate at the back which has significantly improved my overall ergonomics while using the iPad for modelling and in that scenario the weight is also not an issue :)
This is by far the coolest project I have never seen on TH-cam. Looking forward to the upgrades on this project.
Super Nice Vidéo! Do you think It can be possible to make public your "Loupedeck Ring V2.stl" file? Thank you in advance if you do it. Great Vidéo again!
Hey, i think a small knife on the Tool would be cool. Maybe you could add a victorinox to just fold out the Handle. Maybe even Utilityblades.
Great video. As always. Curious if you'll get wobble when rotating the subject with the arms. Although, I don't think it'll matter. Do you know what the refresh rate of the light ended up being? Picking up any flickering from it while filming?
Really appreciate your support! 😊 As far as I can tell, there's no flicker as long as the shutter speed matches the light's frequency (Hz). 👍 I've not tested it at different shutter speeds but I think its okay, just the light quality is really bad, like the CRI rating is really low and its quite distracting in video.
Best electric board ever. hands down.
I'm full of questions. 1.) Are the speaker mounts a custom-made item? Partially? 3D printed? 2.) Where do you find the pole mounts that you attach them to? I assume those are a purchased with custom mounting?
The speakers are screwed into a VESA mount plate, which is a standard type of plate often used to connect to the back of a monitor, allowing it to attach to one of these arms. The arm itself is a monitor arm pole, similar to this one: Amazon link. I modified them a couple of years ago to allow cables to run through them. I couldn't find my exact version, but most of these are quite similar. The 3D-printed piece is just used to increase the length a little between the VESA mount and the speaker. It's not necessarily required, but in this case, it really helped position the speaker correctly. Hope this helped with your questions :)
@FlatLanderTech Thanks for the reply. That actually would simplify and secure the speakers better than my setup. I grabbed a pair of mini pc vesa mounts to effectively use as a shelf to set the speakers on at the end of monitor mounting arms. My speakers are Eris 3.5s which are plastic cases. I don't think I want to drill into them to attach the vesa mount. But thanks for the idea for the future.
I saw the Rabo scanner and suddenly I picked up on your accent. If you route the Elgato cable through the legs, add a conduit! If you do two of different sizes, and mount one to the top and the other to the bottom, you can make it periscopic without the pipes actually touching. Then to keep it safe, you'll want have a little tension on the cable from the bottom. Enough to keep the vertical part straight, but not cause damage, like a ferrite bead in place where it hangs just above the surface at the lowest position
Lovely that you got the new arm! I have the old one and it has some sag issues which get so much worse from the vibrations of rolling the desk around. Apparently I just rolled a nat 1 on tolerances since most people don't struggle with it, and most that do, can do a simple mod that didn't work for me.
Such a solid build where space is at a premium almost screams for an MX Ergo. Not needing space to wiggle my mouse makes me feel like a workflow king in places where space is a premium or surfaces don't track well.
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
Soooo good to see another of your videos :D i decided too to make a rotating table for photogrametry, and maybe in the future for cr scanner :) BTW I ORDERED THE PRINTER ! XD
Awesome!!! that's so cool, so good to hear about your printer @4tra :) photogrammetry is also really awesome, do you make games and such?
@@FlatLanderTech nahh, im just interested in photogrametry as a step to modeling stuff. made few objects with phone, now really would like to design furniture in awkward places :D BTW i switched from fusion 360 to shapr3d. shapr3d is soooo easy
thats awesome to hear i love shapr3d aswel! its like zen. haha how do you mean design furniture in awkard places? in like strange corners by using photogrammetry>?
@@FlatLanderTech Oh yeah :) in my bathroom im doing renovation, and there is a corner where all kind of pipes going to next floor :D so i did a model of it using photogrametry. now figuring out what to do next :) Btw i just ordered Bambulab x1c with AMS :)

Awesome build! I am curious on how you are triggering the timelapse and not using the wipe tower.
What is the CAD software or app you have been using on the iPad? You’ve got me inspired to start learning some of this stuff lol. Everyone has different use cases and workflows. It’s amazing to see the thought and process behind the innovations to your creative workflow. Keep it up!
The software is called "Shapr3D". I've used it for years and recently it got a semi-parametric design option which works great for my usecases

Super cool!

awesome
This was a lot of effort put into not paying for the Keyboard Editor or learning to use the tool properly as it came.
Like your relaxed style of videography! May i ask which cad sofware you use on the iPad? i got an iPad Pro M1 with pencil but haven't concidered CAD on it, you make it look like a really nice fit!
Its a very intuitive program called Shapr3d :)
I love seeing the progress between versions. I’m currently making my own multitool that’s a bit more Leatherman style, but you’ve got some great ideas going! Keep it up!
What CAD software is that? Also great video and I love your overall style!! I try my best to make well engineered, functional 3D prints
i was pretty impressed with your initial build, but i think the precision screwdriver is the better way to go. as far as bit storage goes, i think you're on the right track with the magnets, but you should take a lesson from the newer manual precision screwdriver sets available these days & implement grooves for the bits to sit in - then design a covering door of some kind to keep them secure. you might also consider trying to design in a retracting mechanism for the pencil tip, so you don't stab yourself when you carry it in your pocket or on your belt. the charge port location is another issue, but without rewiring you're in a bit of a pickle. keep up the great work! i'm looking forward to seeing further developments! 😊
