It's expensive! I prefer mapei uncoupling mortar. I can 2 bags of it for the same price as 1 bag of schluter all set.

Don't work with curry tile ,especially black grout. Don't try those green pads ..😅

Grout is the most irritating thing i have ever done

I stained the bricks and mortar on my house by hand with concrete stain several years ago using the same type sponge brush. We left the overlapping paint in the mortar lines. It changed my house from a old rose colored brick to a modern sandstone color. Since our home was at the entrance of the neighborhood random strangers dropped by for months after to complement us on the color choice and ask how we did it. Paint can make a big difference.

If the redguard makes a monolithic membrane over the edge of the drain by itself, why is the fabric even necessary.

you just need to use the jointer and a soft brush. you're making a mess then cleaning it up.....go watch how to joint up normal bricks....

You'd have to work at it but you can grind your finger off if you try hard enough mainly the side not the edge tho.

Homeowner here, asking for help: Since the EG formula non-fracture fabric is sold out, I tried to find a substitution. I cannot. I found some products which look similar (Alino; Durabase; Kerdi) but all are applied with thin-set. I understand RedGard to be a roll-on moisture barrier that this video shows going on fabric like an adhesive, not directly to the substrate.. I have not yet located RedGard fabric as the big box hardware stores don't stock it. Suggestions welcome.

About 6 or so years ago, I used GroutRenew to paint the poop colored grout in a small bathroom. The previous owners put in 1.5 inch tiles so there are a ton of grout lines. They set each tile individually, with uneven spacing and grout depth. (Clearly a poor DIY job.) The ivory colored tiles are lovely but that grout had to go. I used a small brush. After years in a high traffic bathroom, I gave the grout another coat last year. This year, I noticed it was looking like it needed yet another coat, like the paint was wearing thin. I happened to find your tutorial. OMG! You just saved me hours of time plus, much better coverage, which, hopefully, will look good for much longer. I can't thank you enough for sharing your game-changing technique.

Yeah, it's good. If you wanted to stay wet you buy the enhancer sealer, Make sure that being outside only gets penetrating sealer.And probably two or three times a year needs to be sealed

I have used those green scrubbing pads and the green color came out into the grout. Use the clear colored ones.

Don't mean to bother but how much time do you wait before you start cleaning. Also how long does it take for the epoxy grout to cure for walking and putting furniture on it. Lastly, can it be used as a think set to apply replace broken tiles before applying it as a grout. Thank you so much

Hows prolite is it a strong tile mortor ? compared to other mortar tile like strength im looking to buy some thin set mortar white but i want to buy a strongest one a good white mortar tile some thin set can be to weak kinda like grout but theres some that are stronger then otheres
