Our special guest David from Custom Building Products is here to talk about CEG epoxy grout and he is not associated with Epoxy Grout Formula. He shows up to my jobs from time to time to go over products and share ideas. This video shows us doing a 2.5" mud bed over a kitchen floor prior than to that we used red waterproofing membrane over concrete substrate, sandmix mud is being mix on 2 huge mixers named MegaMix. After mud work we installed quarry tile and grouted it with epoxy grout and used our favorite cleaner E|G Formula for a fantastic epoxy grout job

Working in sections is the biggest thing. I think a lot of guys they look at a big area and begin to think of the best drain epoxy, grout and how they going to handle that. Well, the way to handle it is in sections once you’re done grouting one section begin on the other section, but make sure you have an out or an escape so that you don’t step or touch the grout that you freshly laid down

Also did u have to seal the quarry tile before grouting ?

What epoxy grout would u use for a quarry 6x6 tile with 1/4 thick grout lines . Would the ceg- ig work in a restaurant kitchen ? Your advice is greatly appreciated! This vid was well made and very informative .

Most definitely CEG iv done tons of kitchen floors never fails done correctly.. i didn't seal it because I use EGFORMULA cleaner but you may definitely seal it to take extra precautions. I can't say I never seal it prior but now in days I prefer not too anymore iv notice if the grout comes out wrong or not clean enough it has nothing to do with the sealer. Make sure to see my Epoxy grout Video that has over 100k views one of my first videos and I would follow those same steps on that video.

@@egformula I would have to be careful and not get sealer, if I decide to, on the sides of the tile ,right? So that the epoxy sticks better ? Or that doesn’t matter?

It can, it will take eg scubpads and egf with some elbow gress, it will or should clean it alot where you should see a difference, of course depending on the it's a severely of the stains. However it should reduce the stains enough to make you feel better about it. Thats one way of cleaning it.
Theres another methods with egformula just depends on how much or how big of an open area you need to clean.
