    My guy… I’m just a DIY white guy but I review your video and use your strategy every time I tile. This strategy works so well, my grout always turns out /beautiful/. This grout can be challenging, if you’ve never seen this video. Not needing to reseal and maintain your grout after installation is amazing. I really really appreciate your skill and willingness to share your trade. Thanks again, seriously appreciated!!

    If you use a large sponge with a scratchy side, it cleans the major stuff off much quicker, and easier. The excess grout get's worked into the scratchy side, versus the regular sponge which can only handle a little bit.

    I'm in the middle of a tile install in my bath. We picked out a small decorator tile hexagon porcelain tile. It comes on a sheet. My question is do I stand a good chance putting this down on top of it and making it look good. I have lots of grout lines. My tile expertise is limited. Thanks for posting your video and thanks for answering my question in advance. You make it look easy.

      You should be fine small sections at a time even if your shower floor is small, maybe into 4 or 5 sections since it's your first time.. but you must do all iv showed damp tile with microfiber towel each section at a time, spread grout use Sponge to clean up in Circular Motion then wipe off with sponge, and at the end use microfiber to clean off all the heavy water that's on top, several times if necessary. But yeah check the video out again and you should be fine

    Would u say that fusion on lets say 6x6 tile would not be a good idea? Seems like it would work better on bigger tile . Just wondering . Fire vid!

    I have never had a problem with grouting because I use multiple buckets of clean water and I replace my water repeatedly -- I have seen contractors have big problems because they go too fast and dirty, just in too big of a hurry and not understanding they are just spreading their mess around with filthy sponges lol

    I tell you. I used fusion pro on my kitchen floor. It is very durable 7 years later. But the light color gets black and needs a good scrubbing from time to time.

      Buy a steam mop with grout attachment. Works great on grout and tile
      I have it in my bathrooms and the steam cleaner turns it white almost instantly. Takes me like 5 min to clean my bathroom grout

    • @egformula
      @egformula  ปีที่แล้ว

      That grout isn't bad, however i would caulk around perimeters and edges with matching color caulk. I wouldn't leave it without caulking it could still potentially or eventually crack. So it's always good to always caulk.

    I'm glad that I found your channel. You are putting out good content.
    Would you consider posting a video concerning field expansion joints?
    If possible include an "offset" (not sure that is the proper term) field expansion joints for a wood look tile installation.
    I would also appreciate how you handle field expansion joints for tile installations that have 1/16" - 1/8" grout joints.

    • @egformula

      10/4 I should have some content already let me see what I can find and hopefully put together or something new. Its actually in the bucket list so that cool.

    Always wash diagnoly with a sponge, not straight down with the grout line, so to not wash the grout out of the joint, but good circular washing in the begining 😁

  • @jasongrappone345

    What tile did you install. All the large format ones I’ve seen want a 30% offset for the tile placement.

    great job. I have a contractor that just used this grout on my polished Carrera porcelain tile, i don't think they cleaned well enough before it dried. How can I remove the haze so that my tiles are shiny again?

    • @egformula
      @egformula  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it a very easy to scratch tile? I'm assuming it's not since it's Porcelain, if it doesn't easily scratch you could use Epoxy Grout Formula with they're scrubpad and any microfiber towel simply apply EGFormula over tile, scrub it in circular motion then wash off using a microfiber towel. You can try the same method with other products but EG is exactly how I would do it because I know its effective.

    Can you do this over slate without having to seal the slate?

    • @egformula
      @egformula  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely, however you wouldn't be able to do such a big area at a time just smaller sections to get through it. Given that slate is a textured floor. You could seal if you want too for extra precaution but not necessarily necessary

    What’s up man great video , two questions because a lot of feedback has been bad on this product for other videos I’m scared to use it on my white porcelain. 1. Did you seal the tile before applying the fusion pro ? And if you did what product did you use?.
    2. Did you have any problems with the hazing staying on the tile ? And If you did what product did you use to take off the haze ?

    • @egformula
      @egformula  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I didn't have to seal Porcelain for Fusion Grout. Basically you do up to 5sf at a time then sponge then microfiber towel it, if you have Haze afterwards use EGFORMULA and they're Scrub-Pads it will come right off but you should be fine follow what I did on my video.
