I bought the 2014 mini one convertible & already regretting how basic it is! No buttons on the steering wheel either 😢 No phone icon on the screen, no Bluetooth connection comes up on my phone! I can’t seem to find any answers anywhere. A car without music is like having no eyebrows 😅

But you don't have touch display, so it is redundant to pay so much just to mirror CarPlay on your MINI screen. Just get a iPhone mount and be done with it.

Mine doesnt have telephone icon.....

I think it kills bimmercode for the head unit…. It did for me !

The screen on my 2016 Mini is lit up (white light) but theres no info etc on it. Its exactly the same screen as in this video. Will I need to replace just the screen? I Havnt seen it working, I'm a motor trader and its one I've bought with this fault already on. Thanks in advance...

Maybe you can help. On the mini convertible, there is a cover on the inside that hides the electronics. GOes frmom left to right, across the middle. Mine has come lose. Am sure just neews clipping in or something but I really cannot work it out. Hoping you can save me an expensive trip to BMW.... Thanks!

How to destroy your mini

Got myself a used Mini Cooper last week and found out too late that it does not do the cute sound when you hit the start/stop button. I know "it is just a sound" but I'm sad and cannot find any menu item that might control this so guess (if at all) it is a feature that only a licensed dealer would be able to modify.

You had to switch to AUX input to fix the sound.

Great video - thanks for showing the process. I need to do exactly the same. One small hint - next time you want to use fast-forward make sure you dont have a lot of unnecessary movement of the camera and rather hold it steady, would be way easiert to watch.
