The Pdrive clutch that is on a lot of BRP products since 2017 needs a little maintenance to prevent an expensive repair bill. It's not difficult, here is a little look at how I do it.

Why do you prefer this style over the tub style umhw, like the Yukon expedition sleighs?
Great video Andrew, this is my go-to reminder every time I do these 👌
Where did you manage to get the materials for the bracing of SC5U components? Thanks
I just got my 2025 Expedition Xtreme, still figuring the sled out since switching from Polaris but I’m liking it so far. This is great info, the SkiDoo clutching is very new to me I’ve been messing with P-85’s/Team clutching for so long. I have to ask which scale is that? I use a scale for bow hunting that measures grains but that one ya got there seems more versatile. Thanks
Did you wire a new plug to connect to your accessory plug? I just purshased the baja onx6 and was wondering which route to go for wiring it up.
I prefer to wire my light and gps to the start solenoid, that way I can use it with the engine off.
@AndrewMilleyPerformance okay thanks Andrew. Where did you put your switch for the light thats easily accessible for oncoming machines?
@@lincolng2204 I put it in the small removable panel above the fuel cap to the left
Another question about your set up...did you use the ram 1.5" ball with a medium length socket arm?
@@lincolng2204they are 1” balls and 3” arms
What rear bumper and tie down bracket is that
I made it
Can you do an update on this groomer please?
I haven’t used this as much as I was hoping… but I did use it today. The second row of cutters should be pointed in like the first row. Overall, if the snow isn’t packed too hard it works good
Do you have a clutch kit for scandic g4 600 ETEC SWT.
Is the cord to plug where , in the bush
Typically have a generator at camps
Why did you have to do that?
Is there a front tunnel protector that hooks underneath the front center factory one as well, so theres protection the full length of the skid?
No it’s just the front factory protection and the rear section you add. The middle stays unprotected, and doesn’t seem to be an issue.
Great video, Andrew. Do you have part #'s for the windshield and support, etc? Mine is a 2023 and I'm loving it.
860202257 Hope that helps
Any links?
Do you prefer these standard studs over the style recommended for snowmobiles or does it really matter? I've got a pre drilled 20" cobra on my 2024 expedition , really mellow rider I only use it for ice fishing and some skiing access. igrip site recommends the st24r standard racing studs not sure if that pointed tip is unnecessary for my use or if it makes that big of difference
I just bought one a few days ago and i look forward to moving from a pure mtn sled to a semi utility machine.. Btw what rear bumper is that? Cuz im diggin it.
Thanks for the great review Andrew!
I missed what you said. What are the skis you changed to?
They are DS7.4 with boots from Ski-Doo and Qualipieces Mission carbides
@@AndrewMilleyPerformance They look like Pilot 7.4, the regular Expedition skis?
@@SkeldZ06yes
Appreciate the review. It's nearly impossible to find real world feedback of how the Lynx Brutal does in the wild. Are you running down near sea level, like up in Canada? I've got one of the Turbo R's snowchecked for out here in Wyoming, and it'll be reclutched for the elevation (trailheads are at 10k feet, and we ride up to 12-13k high typically) so I'm hoping that keeps it from cooking the belt. Which is a bit of a concern due to no low range gearbox plus a taller lug (heavier) track than the Expeditions have.
I’m based at 1700’. I’ve been down to sea level and up a little over 3000’. I wouldn’t hesitate to gear it down a little for elevation.
Congrats! But is it a 24 or 25?
This is a 2024. The 2025 has black panels and a different rear shock
I have a serious question for you. Can you give me an idea of what engine temp would be bad for the 850 etec ? I tried researching but can’t find much. I feel like my 2023 xterrain gets hot easily but I have no experience to say it. Would you say 30-50 Celsius is normal op temp?
I also had a 2023 Xterrain RE 850. Mid 40s to 60°C is what I would call a good operating temp for an 850…. 60° may actually be a little warm, but not enough to hurt anything
anything under 80 is fine. 40-60 is normal. got ~ 4000 km on xterrain pro 850 -23
Is there a difference in smell between the 900 and 600? Do 2 strokes still make you stink like gas or have they gotten better?
They have gotten significantly better, but there is still no getting away from the smell associated with burning oil.
Great review! So I take it this would be comparable to an Extreme? Too bad the track cant take the day to day use.....is there a 2" version comparable to the track that comesbon a Backcountry X? My son has that track, incredibly durable
There currently isn’t a 2” track option for 20 wides…. I’d like to try a 163x20x1.8 if someone would make it
Well that answers some questions, like my expediton i wish a guy could find a 2 inch 20 wide
Great sled review Andrew! Good to see some new content on your channel
do yo sell the clutch kit that you modified ? If yo do were can i get it Thank
Yes I sell kits. You can email amilleyperformance@gmail.com
I have the 007-1022G model given to me. Is that what you used? I have a '22 Scandic 900
We used the 07-1027g
Is that regular 900 ace?
Great video 👍 it looks like Molykote makes a lot of different greases for specific applications. Can you recommend a specific grease (i.e. part number). Thank you
In my opinion, what grease is used in this application is far less important than the frequency that it is applied. We have tried a few different products and they all seem to just disappear. All I can guess is the centrifugal forces allows the grease to get past the seal. So my recommendation is to go to your local industrial supplier and buy whatever grease they have in stock that is intended for roller bearings. Simple and effective.

@@AndrewMilleyPerformance Thanks for the reply
Did you ever replace the isoflex grease on the motor to keep it running that long?
Nope
Does this effect the battery at all and would you be able to do this to your Lynx xterrain? I was somewhat disappointed with the lights that they came with
We haven’t had any issues with the 6” bar effecting the battery. I run the same setup on both my 850 Xterrain’s with no issues
@@AndrewMilleyPerformance thanks for that. Is there anyway you can post a picture of your light bar setup on the xterrain ? The plastic housing is much smaller on them and wouldn’t mind a reference 🙏🏼
So I’m looking to compete in 2026 and are looking into the 2025 Lynx Brutal RE 900 ace turbos. Is the rear arm an issue that we can address going into the race like something we could do to prevent it from breaking? Also are you competing again in 2026?
We don’t have a rear arm solution yet. I strongly discourage 4 strokes. They are heavy and will fatigue you faster… and be harder to manage in some areas
@@AndrewMilleyPerformance Thank you for the advice.
What part on the rear arm was failing ??
The entire arm. All of it. Multiple failures
@@AndrewMilleyPerformance wow. I wonder what could cause that. Not like you guys are trying to break them
I remember seeing you some years back here in hopedale, you came to Melvin’s shed eh? I was pretty young then.
Cool
NICE JOB!
Where can I buy this clutch kit?
You can contact me at amilleyperformance@gmail.com
Great video. Does the same procedure and parts apply to the 850 expedition xtreme? Thanks again
The procedure is mostly the same, some parts are a little different
Never run in someone's path or behind another person in the slop .
Can you show us in a video what parts brokes and what can be done to improved , Thank you for the up date
Better luck next time Andrew Use to race Rob with USCC east. Please say hello for me and get back racing ski doo’s lol!! Robs a great guy happy to hear he’s doing well after his misfortunes. Thank you.
Thanks for the post! Was routing you guys on! Tough luck with the sleds, you guys made a good effort, just not your yr. Hope to see you guys in next one
your video is very valuable thank you
Would you run Cains Quest with a Lynx again?
We are at a point that no matter what new sled we chose, we would have to learn new equipment. We picked Lynx. The ride is far superior to anything else I’ve ridden that’s suitable for Cain’s Quest. We only had problems with ONE part. That’s it. The rest of the sled was 👌 So in my opinion, it would be unwise to ride something else. We have almost overcome the learning curve. We just have to reengineer ONE part.
@@AndrewMilleyPerformance Are you and Rob returning in 2026?
This is the first time I have ever commented on you tube. I live in goose bay, and I watch all of your videos on TH-cam. I was really pulling for you guys. I love all of your instructional videos on the expos and skandiks. Take care and know that you ran a wicked race
