Thanks for your video, it will be nice if you go a little bit slower, I have to pause a lot the video until I realize that I can slow down the speed, but even like that I have to pause a few times, I did like the second fork assembly how it stared, saddling the rest it was out of screen, thank again

You could've use one negative to all buttons and also one positive for all led lighting. 5 wires would work great for this installation 👍🏻

I'm putting new parts on my 1984 zn700a. One of the first things I did was ditched the air box and went with pods. I would try a high temp sealant on the boots to get them sealed. No harm if your going to replace them mabey anyway. But I am going through the carbs making sure all the idle jets and main jets are clean. Had one cylinder not idling the idle jet was clogged. Getting these old parts of history up and running again is really rewarding.

Thank you for the video. From what I've learned so far, the bikes really only need the two rubber stoppers installed for the factory panniers to attach to the bike, the bike is totally configured to accept the factory side panniers, would that be correct as far as Z1000SX, H2, Versys, etc ? The reason. I ask is I'm looking at many used Z1000 touring, they have no panniers but I'll most definitely need to install them... Thank You !!!!!

If you get the aluminum polishing kit from Caswell you can skip half the sanding tbh. I don’t sand any finer than 600 before I start polishing. They provide you with 6 different wheels, 2 clay bars of different grits, and a finishing compound. It’s like $50 and my whole cb750 motor looks like a mirror

Great vid. Just a quick question. Is that all that I will need (panniers, lock and those rubber pieces) to add panniers into a new SX? I am planning to buy one without the panniers, and hoping to add the panniers later, if this is all it takes? Thanks.

I just asked exactly the same question but timed out and happened upon yours. OP most likely has notification turned off. I know I do and often miss questions for a year. To answer your/ our question, it certainly appears as though many Z touring bikes etc are practically set up from factory to accept the factory cases. I'm just guessing because I haven't gotten a definitive answer. It seems as tho it would be easy enough to get a solid answer 😆 but I guess not...

@BDX2BDX2 LOL, thanks! By the way, did end up buying the 2021 SX, love the bike. Also bought the panniers set, panel, trip, fitting kit and One Key System. That's all it takes. Planning to install it and make videos of the installation as well. Seems pretty straightforward.

SNAKES ALIVE … shut my gob! Really it’s a simple single cheap controller that the rats nest of wires attach to… about $2. As neat as this seems it introduces complications to the wiring beyond easily field diagnostics along the roadside, and it still needs ground and power wires… so it’s not one wire just the comm signal wire going to the M-gadget. The hassle of making a bundle of hidden switch wires to it and stashing that in the handle bars is just crude or more so than simply running a bundle of individual control wires direct from the switches … probably is easier… and it is still digital control with low power control wires. A neat bundle 12v low power 20-22-24 gauge wires has the advantage over the single 22 awg wire is some mechanical robustness and less electrical interference issues… and easier to put shielding sleeve over the bundle and make ground connection. NOW here’s an idea run the bundled cables to the m-Button using a nearby small connector or a terminal stop for the control switch wires connections then you have trouble shooting access to the switch wiring … this mounted next to the m-gadget… and m- button then that tiny fragile single wire is protected and you have much less complication and aggravation hiding all the mess of switch wires to m-button… As alternative do this near the handle bar but you still have a single fragile wire run… that you need to bundle like a loom and shielding protect.
