Welcome! I'm Tom, a 26 year old app developer from Essex. I've started this fresh new channel for IRL vlogs featuring my family, with a focus mainly on outdoors content with a bit of a personal twist. I'm really keen to treat this as a journal where I talk openly and honestly about where I'm at in life while using it as fuel to push me to go on more adventures.

What's in my rucksack? (WILDCAMPING GEAR GUIDE)
You made the right choice...
00:15 I've heard Ravens make sounds like that. They're kinda like foxes, they just make weird sounds sometimes. Older Ravens especially, there are even stories of old Ravens mimicking other animals. I'm not quite convinced about that, but they can be trained to talk, like a parrot. They're not as smart as parrots, but I've heard them say things like "Hello".
Truck driver here. Came Upon a deer. Been shot. Touched it. Still warm and very recent. Looked up and around. Saw a Beagle hunting dog on the side of the woods. 20 or so feet away. Stared at it for a second. Had a bad feeling.. Heard a bolt rack from a gun inside the woods. Very close but didnt see anything tho said "ok...ok...just leaving" got out of there. Better to follow your gut before it spills on the floor.
Idk man. How much sound did you pump into this video in post?

I u r truly that skiddish an scared u probly shouldn't even come out of the security of ur bassinet after evenin
Escapes scary dangerous forest. Then sits down with back against scary forest two meters from forest to cook dinner.
Dude can turn a 360 and you can see sky between the trees in every direction. Must suck living in a place where the is just small patches of "woodland".
I’m getting out of that place no way i’m risking my life or my dog just to camp there
Dude that was some freaky shit. The vibe changed soon as you went into those woods it felt tense even through my phone watching it you did the right thing by getting out of there
Dear TH-cam, stop recommending self-important, vloggers who love the sound of their own voice and appear more mentally unstable than anything they "encounter" in the woods.
Bro you realising by commenting you’re literally telling the algorithm to recommend more videos like this, right? Talk about self important self sabotage LMAO
Can I ask what the area is called? Maybe I could do some historical research on it and see :)
Sounded like a mountain lion. It was definitely a large cat
This whole trend I guess you would call it of British people😂😂😂 It's always you Fuckin Brits... Making these let's go make a camp video in the middle of the woods with no fire no nothing then you think that you "hear something" or you feel like you shouldn't be there or you encounter a random person etc etc etc are so Fuckin fake and stupid it's ridiculous!!! I get it Okay At least I think I get it... You guys can't have fires you guys can't do much of anything out there... Ok you don't have any bears, mountain lions, coyotes, etc. You don't even have freaking raccoons for Christ sakes!!! You don't have anything to be scared of except for the occasional fox or the lone weasel who I doubt even makes themselves known!!! All these videos online I see you guys feel the need to make up something you know... So let's mess with the ghosts It must be ghosts so you do these videos and it's not just you there's thousands of these videos of people across the UK that do what they call fireless camping stealth camping whatever you want to call it. Literally the title is the same play on words... Something felt weird... We had to go... We were unwelcome... Don't go to this place in the UK... Dangerous solo campaign weird encounter... What was watching us?! We went back... We went back (again)... It was watching... Crazy encounter in the woods!?! (BTW Read all of these in your most ridiculous British accent)😂 Bro you might as well make this a TH-cam kids channel... Y'all wouldn't know scary woods or camping if it came up and bit you right in the ass!!! I'm sorry I feel for you I do but I just think you should make different content... I know there's not that many ideas cuz you live in such a restrictive shitty country... I mean pretty soon you guys will be paying fines for breaking wind in public... (No that's not a joke It will probably happen soon) I just couldn't go camping or go out in the woods especially when it's cold out and stay overnight without a fire... I couldn't do it and it's not because I'm scared or anything like that... Although yes it is scary to be out in the middle of the woods without a fire. It's just that's not the way it was meant to be you know the only reason we've thrived as a species is because of our control over creating fire and it's just part of the experience... Not only does it provide warmth as well as a great light source But it's calming comforting very securing sometimes mesmerizing. It also keeps you active cuz you're constantly trying to control the fire and seek out firewood etc I don't know what I would do I guess I just wouldn't be in that position... I wouldn't even try to get into something if I couldn't enjoy the full experience. It's like wanting to have a sexual experience without the sex😂 How many watchtowers do you have out there can't be that many... I would do a fire anyways a small fire surrounded by rocks seriously like even a little campfire that's like 12x12 in is good... I don't think it would hurt anyone... Yeah I would just risk the fine or whatever every time... (It's probably a mandatory life sentence knowing that country 😂) I would try to go to the most remote places which is hard on an island but I would still try only thing that sucks is people would probably rat you out. Like other campers or other people in the woods. I mean we're talking about the UK here😂
Ok so i used to live in a small town literally right next to fargo ND and id leave for school REALLY early just because i wanted to and because theres a solid 5-10k population theres a decent amount of trees and whenever i walked to school id RUN past the trees because im somewhat blind AND with an astigmatism so i cant see sh*t at night/dark unless i wear my glasses and i always get so paranoid i see stuff i know is fake but id rather not take my chances
This whole videos feels like a live action of a No Sleep story
Something felt worng a squirrel made a noise 🐿️
errrm...was it the territorial cry of another...beta male ?! 😂
A request for more Archie who is a good boy and loves his woodland sticks. 👻
Never doubt your instincts. My Dad used to say you may not have noticed, but your lizard brain did. Those instincts keep our ancestors alive trust them.
No such thing as ghosts my guy just a guilty conscience, clear your mind and focus on whats in front of you
Also youre in the uk, your biggest threat is the local weirdo whittling spoons or some pinheads finding your camp
Man. UK forests are so small!
I don’t know about everything else. But that sound near the end sounded like a cow. Maybe it was also spooked, but animal sounds are a hobby of mine, and that sounded like something with big lungs, and an attitude, and barring a UK Bigfoot, I’d go herbivore.
This would have been on chills back in the day
Dude I got bad vibes thru the screen. Like shit got real unsettling And uneasy when the sun went down
It just doesn't feel or look right
Thomas COCK
I live by a dairy farm, that sound was a cow/cows. 😊
You are very paranoid
When the your gut is telling you something is off you go. When all the wildlife goes silent it's because they know something is off. When your dog is uneasy it's time to go mate. Don't stay somewhere just because some asshole in the comments might say something.
No way I would have stayed.
everyone telling you to stay clearly doesn´t do it theirselves , we still have natural instincs, and so do dogs and when the both of you noticed it and the woods went silent you are good to say you might have dodged a bullet.
Always listen to your gut feeling, man. Helps that you have a dog too, since they can sense things easier that humans. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
You did the right thing by leaving. There are things in the forest you dont want to encounter. And most of the time they can see you, but you can't see them.Thats all I'm going to say. Stay armed.
That noise at the end was a cow. I think most likely there was somebody else in the wood at the same time as you. When I've had that "unwelcome" feeling in woods, it's because I've noticed some sign of people surreptitiously using the space, like a fireplace and beercans, something like that. Innocuous things, but nothing sets off your subconscious alarms more than the feeling that you're on someone's secret territory. You probably picked up some subtle signs that there was someone there. Probably just someone else stealth camping tbh. The other possibility is that you're just not used to forests at night, and your reaction psyched the dog out. Forests seem like very friendly places during the day but totally different at night!
I think you were freaking Archie out in this one. Dogs feed off our own energy. In this one it seemed like Archie was fine playing with sticks but getting concerned when he recognized your energy. In the previous video Archie was obviously freaked out without any input on your part. Regardless, great video. Keep up the great work and Archie is very cute.
Always ALWAYS trust your dog.
I’ve watched too many camping and hiking horror stories to disparage anyone bugging out due to a bad gut feeling.
I went tramping in the mountains across Scandinavia in the late 90s on my own as a young lad. I spent 3 months up there. Ironically I felt like a child in a whomb, like I was well protected the whole way. Deep in forrested mountain areas, bathing in streams, seeing no one for days. I felt no fear whatsoever, like I was coccooned from the outside world, a strange feeling. Looking back it was irresponsible, knowing what is out there in these places away from civilisation.
Did anyone else notice that the forest is symmetrical? I put a Fibonacci spiral over the forest at the end of the video and it matches the lines almost perfectly. Also the forest area he was in was so… perfect. No fallen trees, no broken branches. Almost hypnotizing. My guess here is you either encountered: a territorial skinwalker, a forest guardian (you felt as if you were trespassing), or a predator. If it was a predator then my guess is a feline of some kind. Has the forest always been there? Has it moved? What species of trees are those? And are they not native?? So many questions…
Probbably a cougar or maybe black panther
Not saying he shouldn't have left because if you ever feel skeeved out about a place, leave and go. Regardless of threat, just go home it's not worth the anxiety. However, there's something weird in these comments as though it's some ancient sense of ghosts or monsters or something. 'The dog was on edge', yeah no surprise, there's birds and sounds and smells galore. So really we have to ask, what actual danger is there? UK has no dangerous wild animals like bears or leopards or mountain lions. At worst, there may have been a badger about but that's not even anywhere close to the reaction people are making in these comments. Could there have been a killer lurking? Sure, I mean that's a possibility. There could be a guy in your loft right now waiting to kill you when you sleep. It's not even likely that's true but it's never zero. As for birds going quiet, I really don't get what significance people give it. 'if birds go quiet, it's because something's there' yeah maybe the man and his dog walking around the woods spooked them. Again, birds aren't psychic so people are just assuming they vibe checked this guy and his dog, knew they weren't a threat on intuition alone. Tl;Dr guy was right to leave if he felt anxious but there aren't any threats in those woods animal wise nor evil spirit/bigfoot wise. Animals aren't psychic and can't judge human intent so there's nothing there to justify the doomsaging here. He got spooked, went home, that's it
Here in Brazil when the forest goes quiet, when you start feeling uneasy, feeling goosebumps, there is a really high chance that a Jaguar is hunting for you, slowly following you, maybe on the ground, maybe on the trees, you will be certain of it if it gets against the wind and you start feeling a strong smell of rotten putrid flesh
Trust your sixth sense. its always right. Yes Mate I would have left also . But not before my experience . I told myself not to be such a woos as I have often felt I was being watched in the wood's metal detecting . Up in North wales on a hill across the river from Barmouth. had a bad foreboding feeling going up and carried on in broad day light as well. . I went in to the woods metal detecting with head phones on went under a fallen tree. I knelt under some rocks on a trail to dig a signal , then a twig went up the rock and i grabbed everything and ran . looked back and another tree fell on the first one and the rock was laid on the trail where I knelt. That happened 4 years ago and sometimes I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it. How did that tree move that rock that had been there for millions of years at that very time I was there. Nobody knew I went up there and I had no phone and I'm sure I would never have been found. I have been back there to take a photo and its all overgrown now. I hope you keep doing what you love doing and trust your gut feeling's.
Aye it was definitely a ghost or a monster. Glad you got out safe! We've had enough people killed by ghosts, ghouls, monsters and bears in the UK!
I loved the sunset shots you did with the drone they were beautiful. If you go back there again please take someone with you. Just incase that was a real person. Btw the first time you came back in the daylight I spotted that tree as the source of the creepiness before you said anything about it. I don’t think your crazy there is something there but what’s there may or may not be what is malevolent. It could be just trying to warn you off from a crazy person. You never know unfortunately.
I would have noped out of there too. Right choice!
First video creepy as fook, Your best 'high strangeness detector' is bounding about having a jolly old time, wanting you to throw a stick. That wasn't the case in your first video. I love dogs. Havr your bold friends camp there alone see if they are as bold? also camp in the surrounding copse. See if they have the same vibes?
This has been some years but there is a trail near by that a lot of people walk on and is heavily wooded. I went over there one day because the weather was nice. When i arrived there was one car there at the trail head right, i get out and head off down the levee which is like, the main trail that the other ones split off from. Its like a mile long and has a gentle arch to it so as you go it bends and you cant see the parking area anymore. Well im walking and i get the feeling to look behind me and kind of out of no where theres this guy walking back there behind me. Now hes like a couple hundred yards back mind you, i cant make out nothing about this guy other than hes kind of a fat guy. But i get the worst creeping sensation, i keep walking and look back, guys still there... nothing weird, just there. I get up to the point where the trail bends and once my line of sight on this guy is broken i bolt, i ran very quickly down the way a little further and then cut hard left into the woods and back towards the road thats a few hundred yards through the tree line. I bail over a downed brush tree and lay down. Im there for like 3 seconds thinking "what am i doing?" when this guy comes hauling ass up the levee stopping for a moment out where he lost sight of me to look around before resuming his run up the trail. Ive never been more spooked than in that moment. I tore ass out of the woods and back to the road where i was hoping to grab a ride back to my car. It was like a horror movie. No one was around. I walked down the road even stopping at a fire station near the trail head, doors were locked, before going to my car. As soon as i start my car and put it in reverse another car pulls up behind me blocking me in, and its that dude! I yelled at him dude you better get the fuck outta here before the police get here. He took off and i never saw him again. It makes me think theres bodoes back there now :(
The noise was definitely a cow. Used to live near a cow field and you’d hear shit like this all the time
