It's nice to see that we finally have all the assets to make builds look like this coming to the game. Even vanilla builds can look good now without custom assets.

This is fantastic. I love the empty lots and storytelling details -- yours is one of the most lived-in projects I've seen so far, even at the start.
Thanks! Yeah I discovered the empty lots area great as placeholders, but can also tell a story of a city that's maybe seen a decline, or plots that were allocated but never sold. I found that a lot of dust bowl towns like in Western Kansas or Eastern Colorado will often have these types of features. I figured it would be a nice touch, and it gives me a lot of wiggle room for when I want to increase density in the future. Because of the detail I'm putting in too, it encourages me to be a bit more attached to each development, and if I need to redevelop it, it'll be a lot more work. Sort of a way of encouraging me to find creative solutions in areas that need renovating without bulldozing everything.
As someone from a rural American town I want to do a build like this but I’ll wait for the US region packs. Great to see what you can do tho

Do you have a tutorial (or plan to) video on how exactly you do the mega buildings? I can watch on the timelapse but going in real time and explaining what you're doing would be crazy helpful. All this looks so good!
It's a good idea to break it down outside of the build, so I might try that in the future!
small midwest NA towns arent nowehre near my favourite builds to watch but i like watching yours, this grain elevator is great, well done. so many possibilities when starting to use different buildings and assets mashed together to create something new and unique, glad more content creators starting to use this technique!

Love the town so far. But how do you lower the buildings without pulling down the ground. I was trying to recreate the affect but couldn’t figure it out
I've mentioned it here and in episode one. You need to use the static prop mod by Qoushik. It converts all of the games vanilla buildings into seperate props that don't terraform the land. :)

What are the specs of your PC I have a decently high end PC and can't seem to run the game
It's in the description. 👀 Those are quite handy to comb through. But performance wise, the main culprits for lower fps is motion blur, depth of field, and view distance. Handle those, and I think you'll play just fine.

when you move the building down in 5:25 mark, i guess its with "page down" but if i do this, there will be a hole around the prop and it will ruin the illusion
That sounds like you're moving the building itself and not using the static prop mod. The static prop mod turns the assets into props that don't conform the terrain.
It’s great to see that my UK Region Pack assets work so well in a US inspired build. I look forward to seeing how else they can be used and to see how your build progresses. Great work so far.
I just built out a whole section last night and it looks amazing with these assets. I'm super thrilled with how it worked out.
A tip of where to go next is more residential housing and lower income housing for the Ag workers such as a trailer park complex or company subsidized housing.
Good tip! I'll probably move to that soon, admittedly, I haven't been terribly interested in that detail, but I'll explore it!

how do you make that road in road builder (the 2 lane with grass) and the grid size?
You need minimum sidewalk sizes (for now), for grass to be possible. Same with medians. I also use empty lanes to equalize the street widths. Finally, grid size is about 144m x 112m.

Great feedback! Yeah, it's something I didn't consider while editing, and the intro episode was a bit packed. Episode two doesn't have to cover as much ground, so it should be easier on the eyes!

How to get overground powerlines on the road?
They should snap to the road when you place, either that or you enable anarchy mod. But I noticed they tend to snap to the road automatically.

i have a question i don't find the mods with abandonned cars. Someone know the name of the mods and where can i find it?
There isn't a mod, it's default in the game. Use find it, sort the props. I can't recall off hand what they're titled, but that section of the video you might be able to see the title of the asset to search within find-it.

I like this video style that you have. You talk when you need to. The music in between is soothing as you watch. You add in the chapters; so I can skip to the next build if I'm getting the gist of what you're doing on the current one. I'd keep doing it this way for a little bit. Thank you for sharing your joy and work with us.
Thanks for the feedback! It's also easier to edit this way. I'm exploring ways to also make the hyperlapses a bit easier to watch (without so much spinning), but for now it seems they satisfy the primary goal. :)

Great first episode! I love small town builds. Really good detailing! I also put a train engine in my park for my Baseball complex build! They make such a nice feature that highlights the history of the town.
The train engine detail is always one of my favorite little touches. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that small town quark.
Love this video, what is the name of the mod you use to sink those buildings into each other. I like the idea of mixing buildings to create new unique one but how do you sink them into the ground like that.
Check out mods by Qoushik on Paradox mods, Static Ploppables, then you can use moveit to get it into place. I bit finicky though as I don't think Move-it lets you cycle through props your mouse is over. So you'll have to move it in one go usually.
