IMPORTANT! SERIOUSLY! After you've enjoyed the fancy camera angles, make sure you stick around to 02:44 for anarchy tutorial and IMPORTANT MAP NOTES! MANY TREES ARE ELEVATION LOCKED! They will not move with terraforming and they are not automatically removed on build.
UPDATE: To anyone who've already downloaded the map. I had to remove the fence netlanes as I thought the bulldozer mod could remove the ones placed in the editor. It seems that was not the case. I've replaced them with bushes, but they should be easier to work with and look just as decent.
I've played on Wanaka before (before PDX mods was a thing lol) and then caught the Sneak Peak pre-release stream by accident - this map honestly looks UNREAL. It is also perfect for the type of city I wanted to develop since CS1, and just couldn't find a map that would have what I wanted (with Teddy Radko's Bay of Plenty coming quite close) - I absolutely cannot wait for Economy 2.0 patch to come out and to get sucked in building on this stunning map!
My god you have done an amazing job. I live in Dunedin and can say I’m so proud to see my home done so beautifully and with love and care. Coin cliff at the end of the peninsula looks amazing. My wife works out there with the yellow eye penguins. You did this beautiful land and Dunedin proud. Thank you
Funny, when Refterman was discussing the hillside suburbs during one of the build streams and then you started you Rio Paulo build I thought... hmmm... DH & Dunedin map... could be a good combo!
Fantastic end result mate, a real stunner. Funnily enough, your end bit about having roads covered in sunken vegetation makes me think that it could be a great overgrown dirt road technique...
Might be worth a shot! I've just removed the netlanes though, I think I made quite the mistake there not realizing how those weren't going to translate well from the editor. Bummer there.
Such a great map, I've been playing on it for a while and it's amazing. New zealand has been my home for just 6 months last years, but what an amazing country it is and sometimes I seriously miss the landscapes even after such a small amount of time. This map kinda helps a bit reliving the beutiful memories I made there. On another note I understand why a lot of kiwis leave the country, I really hope one day you will be able to come back home if that's what you want
I'm mostly just an honorary Kiwi, but I based this YT theme around the years I lived in NZ. That's the kind of impact it had for me. I personally would have stayed, but economically with student loans, it wasn't feasible, especially with the pandemic that followed a couple of years after I left. Beautiful place and just some of the best people I've met on this planet.
Trying to decide! I'd love to do Wellington, but I might actually do a more open build type area in the States. I'd love to do Duluth, Minnesota, but the Lidar data there isn't quite enough for my style.
Agreed, but this map is geared more towards detailers and those less bothered with the extra steps and to work around the game's limitations. Unfortunately, can't really get around the current versions of the anarchy mod.

Impeccable work once again mate, the detail work is stunning! Maybe the most detailed map I’ve seen in either CS game 👏
Cheers Sully! As always, thanks for the kind words!
Can't wait to see what you cook up next too. :D

Being a new zealander myself i absolutely love your work mate, keep it up
Cheers!

Awesome! I'm hoping people take this as a challenge with the restricting geography.
Superb, well done and thanks. Looking forward to ruining Dunedin by creating one skyscraper hellscape on the map
Dew it. 🕶
Can't wait to see!

Cheers! I still consider Dunedin my home, even though it's so far away now, so I wanted to do it justice with an homage. Thank you!
This is fantastic work, thank you!

Another AMAZING map 🤩 Seriously, wow!

Here's to hoping nothing breaks. :)

I’m just trying to find a non vanilla map I want to play and now you’ve got me wanting to travel… gah 😭. Beautifully done!
Michigan would be an odd choice, but I'd support it! Nothing beats the great lakes.
What’s next? Quietly hoping for Wellington or some North Island map!!
Nice job as usual looks great!
Trying to decide!

@@RaftermanNZ sounds awesome! Will be looking for when your next map comes out.
Downloading as soon as I get home... excellent work
Now this is what I've been looking for!
Wow! Stunning work 😊 Can’t wait to recreate my home! 🏡
You from Dunners?
@@RaftermanNZ Yeah man… born & bred 👍
WOW WOW WOW incredible work -it looks so real 👀
Thanks!
There is a large town north of Tampa Florida named Dunedin
Looks amazing! What resolution the game is being played at?
This was at 2560x1440. 8x TAA I believe. :)
Brroooo. That's fricken awesome. Good job. An awesome depiction of a stripped back dunners.
Going for that Dunnerstunner feel. :)
Man I miss Dunedin so much. lol
The search for a new map to play on after Economy 2.0 is officially over lol

@@RaftermanNZ Thank's !!!
Would i be able to grab the Long and Lat you used in terraining or any other website so i can get my own map overlay for the road networks??
Do you one better. Here's the overlay itself.

More of a pain to grab the lat and long though.
@@RaftermanNZ I appreciate it
This map is so pretty I don’t even know where to place things, don’t wanna ruin it 😭
very good map. i had to remove a lot of trees to get some performance back. :D
That's when you know it's a good map!
Lol
Love the cliffs
Me too.
THIS IS THE SHIT RIGHT HERE
Cheers! :D
好漂亮
It's a nice-looking map, but having to get rid of the tree how it is is just annoying.
