The effects of awakening challenge with modern spirituality is that a lot of it comes from mistaken experiences.
Someone can have an experience and believe it was the entire elephant when really, it was only a small part.
We have to navigate language and trust our experience above all else.
The goal is not to attain anything other than the complete enjoyment of life.
Meditation, yoga, spirituality, enlightenment, none of it matters if you’re not happy. None of it matters if you can not love.
Enjoying life is the path. Do whatever you like on the way. Just make sure that you’re doing it out of fulfilment, and not in attempt to take or gain or achieve happiness from it.
Happiness is first. Anything else is a bonus.
