Is that a pull ? What brand you use?
Great video. How do you apply the products to the boxes in the clients' home? Brush, roll or mask everything and spray?
I really like your explanation and build of cabinets in general. Definitely going to incorporate the techniques in my next build.😊
Awesome. Thanks for watching
Function can also feed the soul! Well done!
Yes sir! Thanks 👊
Somehow it reminds me that all ‘shops’ have been doing the exact same thing (display same/similar products together) for quite some time now. 😂 Great job, nonetheless.
Hahaha. Yup
Wu Tang !
Wu Tang is forever! 🤙
It’s very inspiring to hear you’re story I have been trying to build my woodworking skills and my tool collection and I absolutely love working in my one car garage workshop I would love to turn it into a full time business. I’m slowing building it but it just takes time and hard work.
Your right. Takes time and hard work. Keep pushing ahead. You’ll get there
Great idea, why build it easy when you can challenge yourself 😊
Exactly
I bought the M-12 and the Festool CX ( their compact drill) . Those are my go to for cabinets and finish like door jam ( roughs that might be out I cinch them up with a 3” screw). That’s where the CX shines it has some weight and power! But does not over drive like an impact can quick! The m-12 has power but it’s so light it can grab and twist quick! Like a 110 pound guy getting picked up and thrown 10’ by a 350 pound lineman! But it’s a fine tool for cabinets! Both come with angle attachments ect.,. Some festool stuff is bar none the best ! But that contractor saw is a mess! My Dewalt w/ the stand is the best in the field! I hv that saw Grizzly saw you hv the G0691 I think! I hv about 2 million miles on it and changed the belts a couple times but runs like a champ! Did you know there are only a couple manufacturers of the table saw motors ? And Grizzly uses one of the best! So here’s to u Griz !
I’m very been thinking of picking up the Festool drill as well. Also yeah the Grizzly saw is awesome. I have abused that thing over the years. Changed the belts a couple times as well. But it’s a great saw. Been really happy with all my Grizzly stuff
@@NE_woodworks underrated brand ! Festool comes with two 4 amp batteries, charger, couple attachments , couple bits, sustainer , I was surprised the rep did not show up and kick me in the rear to start it? For $5 hondo’s not bad for carpenter bullet proof tool! I hv dropped it from the top of a 6’ ladder onto the cement ? Never phased it? So I did it again? Still good ! So I am done with that test! Great investment plus I got a free sustainer for router bits ? Take care buddy hope the family is well and bring on some more videos !!!
Haha. No more ladder tests lol Thanks. Hope you’re doing well too! More content coming
Awesome video, Josh! I need to do something like this for my shop.
Thanks dude. Building tuff like this is fun. If only I could find more time to do it. Anything to make the shop better is a plus
Looks great!!! Keep it up!
Thanks man 👊
I feel like I am over commenting here ? However I have always built my boxes that way? My Dad who was a contractor ( GC home builder ) taught me that way? I believe your seeing all that dado stuff is because the carcass’ are 1/2” and the back’s 1/4” ? Just flimsy junk in my book? Cabinets are 3/4” and 1/2” construction! Spend your time on doors and drawers !
Appreciate all the comments 👊
Also maybe one day you can give us a run down on your blades? What you use , who sharpens them , ect.,.
Great idea
I am now using a Festool Kapex the reason being say your installing and just R running on a clock set for “get it dun yesterday “ ! Having an accurate miter saw is important or trimming a 4’, 5 or 6’ end piece miter for me anyway is not possible you probably have the room? I hv different needs obviously than you but I bet in the future a super accurate miter saw would serve any cabinet maker well? By the way super nice shop set up which not only is key to your work ! But also your mental health!
Thanks for watching. Maybe one of the days I’ll get a nice miter saw. I just really like using the table saw
always the best day when the shop is cleaned out of the jobs, just to start new ones and fill it back up lol
lol. Your right about that
Nice, you should consider posting/selling your cabinet plans.
Yeah eventually I will start doing that
Mumble more, I can still hear you.
😁
So clean ! A little extra work goes a long way
Thanks man 👊
Funny story ( I never caught your 1st name) anyway 6 mo ago I am hired to reskin a kitchen. I do 46 doors switching out old hinges for euro? Blum 110 degree and I took all the doors and drilled the 35 mm cups. The lady was great just missing the broom she rides? I mounted 4 big stainless pullouts , made a garbage bin cabinet after cutting into the counter and made a custom 37” delta sink box for a 160 pounder farm sink. She got made because I made noise? And when doing the crown she thought it was wrong? How I was mounting it? So the husband being a DIY’er took over and I got my check stating “ oh yeah super simple you got it”? Now they will not send me pics for my page? They will not talk to me? Last I heard it was not as easy as they thought it was?
Haha. Yeah people are weird
Good for you ! I thought u were back East! I am in Northern Ca , North of Sacto! Keep knock’em dead brother! I found your channel and enjoy! I am an older guy that came into this trade around 50ish? 65 now and healthy guy so I work! I am solo finish carpenter/ contractor and I work outta my garage shop. Build smaller. Cabinet jobs however I hv a retirement so I hv to keep my income reasonable or Uncle Sam gets it all. I take what you throw down! Ha! Oh I hv a storied past ?
Awesome. Thanks for watching 🤙
i love thi guy. no Diddy
Lol
Do you use a cabinet software to determine panel dimensions with desired reveals that accounts for thickness of edge banding?
I don’t. I just do some simple math
Great looking vanity man, love the grain match. I am also glad to see someone else install the hinge plates the same way I do. I thought about making jigs but most of the time if I can get the cabinet on its back I will do exactly what you did. Videos keep getting better and better man, keep it up.
Thanks man. Yeah that’s the easiest way I have found to mount them. When it’s possible to lay it on it’s back
great build... what edgebander are you using? Do you like it? Is it 3ph
I have the Cantek MX340M
I love it
🤙
Thanks for insight...! keep on with the skills!
🤙
Interesting method on how you attached the hinge plates to the cabinet. I like it! Cool video
Thanks dude. When I can, I like to hang doors that way. Works good
@@NE_woodworks nice. What spacing do you use? 1/8?
That’s so nice looking! I love the grain match.
Thanks 🤙
Tons of respect that’s a big slice of work while still knocking it out ! Cause if you don’t do one , u can’t do the other! Me I work outta my big Van and converted garage / shop ! However I do finish and small cabinet jobs.
🤙
Have you seen the “faces” in your walnut plywood. Two of them on the left scrap piece when you were getting the first piece of the floor. Also one on the end of that closet cabinet you previously built. You should get a double line drill, speeds up door and drawer setting 10 fold. Ask me how I know.
I’ll add that to my list of things to get!
what safety glasses are those?
Toroe Eyewear
@@NE_woodworks TY sir - nice channel, happy to have found it!
Great video I am a finish carpenter & cabinet maker ( not kitchens but vanities, builtins , closets plus doors, base, re skins, some crown, window, & full trim,) I hv that same Grizzly G0691 saw & that is one of the most accurate saws I hv owned. Also those are thee only work pants I now work in super comfortable! Plus I am old school carpenter boot guy! Try a pair of Whites Perry Moc Toe Premiums ! I get up to two resoles out of them! And I am tough on my boots! I am all in!
Thanks for watching. I’ll check out those boots!
Will there be drawer pulls, or are they a push to open system? If pulls are installed, will they mount through the drawer box and the drawer face, or just through the face?
Pulls will be mounted through both
What was the small square piece for when marking the holes to be drilled on the front of the drawer boxes? Was that just for spacing the holes evenly, or is it some way of aligning the drawer face on the drawer box?
Just a block to make sure screws were on same location
Nice work. Would love to see an instructional video on using / setting up an edge bander. The basics, similar to what you had done for milling lumber. Thank you.
Good idea. One of these days I’ll do a video on it
I love watching your videos and just learning little tips and tricks of the trade. Great work!
Love to hear it. Thanks for watching
Nice work, dude! 🎉
Thanks 🤙
I love it when one of your videos drops! Thanks for the extra work and effort it takes to bring us along while you build. Very cool. Looking forward to next week's content and Patreon.
Thanks for watching 🤙
Awesome video and build. I like how it was just shop noise with no music or voice over. Pretty relaxing to watch. Keep em coming!
Thanks for watching 👊
do you normally assemble everything before spraying it all? or is that just for the video
Typically I would not. But for the video I wanted it all together. It’s also not getting sprayed until next week.
@@NE_woodworks makes sense I always pre finish when I can, no sense taking it apart and putting it together twice
Where do you purchase your sheet ply from?
Local place called hardwood industries
Well if I had a closet like that I could see my clothes
Hahaha
I build mine the same way. So simple and strong. The new channel is sick man, hope it takes off for ya. P.s. them pants look comfy as hell what are they ?😂
Thanks. They are Truewerk pants. Super comfortable
@@NE_woodworksdude I gotta try them I’ve heard a couple more content creators that I watch say how sick they are.
Enjoyed your vid sir, keep it up!
Awesome. Love to hear that. Thanks for watching.
@@NE_woodworks Can you share your process of breaking down plywood to small parts? also started woodworking but my table saw cannot handle whole plywood for my cabinet projects
Your box method makes so much more sense. How would you secure the ladder style toe kick to an island?
I level the ladder toe kick and screw it to the floor. Then I will set the cabinets on it and screw them to the ladder.
Favourite Tip sizes? I didn’t hear it mentioned.
Sorry 311… interesting why over a 310?
311
Hear, hear! This is how the pros work. IMHO a good jointer is essential if you are serious about your woodworking. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise...
You are right about that
4:51 so when you’re running a bowed board through on its face and you aren’t pushing down, does it flatten it by trimming the front and back down where it hits the cutters before the outgoing table, or does it follow the curve some still? I have seen people that say you have to glue boards down to say a piece of underlayment with shims to plane off the top of the curve to get a flat surface and then flip it over to get a flat reference surface and repeat. If you don’t have a jointer is this the method you would use?(DIY, not production shop) 6:10 edit the first part was answered already
Yeah if you were running it through a planer it on a sled you would shim it. 👍
Dropping all kinds of knowledge! Good stuff Josh. Love the music playing in the background
Thanks bro 🤙
As a beginner, I really enjoy watching your content!! I've learned a lot by watching.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
