It is challenging for any camera to operate for 5-6 hours per day. Additionally, if you need a camera of a similar size, finding the right one becomes even more difficult. In any case, I would recommend going for a standard mirrorless camera, buying multiple batteries for when you're on the go, and a compatible dummy battery for continuous power. That said, the most affordable option is the Sony ZV-E10. A mini pocketable tripod, like the Joby HandyPod, could also be useful. There’s a video about this camera shutting off due to low battery (not overheating) after 1 hour and 30 minutes of recording at 4K, both outdoors and at room temperature. In 4K, the camera is more prone to overheating, and the battery drains faster, whereas in full HD, the camera handles better. I hope this helps! What you plan to use this camera for is important too. For example, if I needed a camera for streaming, I would honestly avoid both. The V10 can be unreliable, and the Logitech LTZ PRO 2 is a large camera designed for conference calls in corporate settings, with less-than-great image quality. For live streaming, I would choose a reliable camera with a large sensor, like the Sony ZV-E10, and use a dummy battery. That would be a much better setup.

These types of cameras with interchangeable lenses, don't have a digital zoom - everything is optical, done by the type of lens you put in front of it. There are fixed (or prime) lenses and zoom lenses; so you just need a camera with interchangeable lenses that has a zoom lens attached or one of those compact cameras (like the Canon G7x).

Yes, there's nothing else I can add. Regarding its battery life and walking around with a large battery grip, I share the same opinion.

The Nikon D5000 is a 15-year-old camera, with technology from that time, as it was released in 2009. It still performs well in photography, thanks to its large APS-C sensor. A beginner can learn photography with it, and it could also be a good camera for vacation photos. However, its video capabilities are limited, as it can only record in 720p.

Both cameras don't have good AF on video. In fact, only the newer MFT cameras have reliable a reliable AF on video. If you want reliable AF, go for a Canon recent mirrorless camera. If you still want a MFT one, In the same budget, I would pick the G80 (or G85), since it comes with IBIS and has 4K video quality same as the G7. All the best!

It is a camera from 2016 that has held its price over the years (unfortunately). There weren’t too many cameras with IBIS back then; nonetheless, a cheap Canon camera with IBIS would be great, I understand your needs. I guess we’ll have to wait for that good-inexpensive camera, as the Canon R7 is way too expensive. Until then, we’ll have to make the best of what we’ve got.

That's some nice gear at great prices, and I understand your point. I also have to stay away from them. I have almost 10 cameras from most major camera brands.

But hey 😅 please keep me updated if you get one of those. The Canon so far seems easier to learn for a complete beginner than the Sony, yet they produce very similar image quality its so hard to choose 😕

@alis1079 You sound just like me. I think I procrastinate too much.The a6400 is a whole month's salary for me with the Amazon bundle I saw. Sony has more third-party lens and equipment opinions. They newer ones seem to have a better dynamic range for post-processing than the canon. I could be wrong, and I'm spiraling. I'll just end up getting frustrated with my information gathering and pick one based on something stupid in the end or the price

I would also like a G9 or a GH5. I was constantly checking prices for these two cameras on the used market. Then I noticed that I don't actually need 4K video, thanks to my video editing software, DaVinci Resolve, which can nicely upscale Full HD videos to 4K. So, for me at least, the good and sharp Full HD video of the G90 is sufficient. I only switch to 4K video recording from time to time.

Since the Canon M6 Mark II came out, I’ve said to myself 'What more could I need from a camera?' - It is excellent now and will be good enough many years from now, so I completely understand why this camera is your choice for as long as it lasts. I guess we all want an inexpensive camera with great features, but this can be difficult since great features usually come with a higher price tag. However, I think a good job can be done with a used Canon 80D. If you can raise your budget a bit, consider the Canon R50-an excellent little camera with great features. Just get the EF to EOS R adapter for it, which gives access to all Canon DSLR lenses and that's it. This last option comes with no compromises for its price.

Thanks for the comment! Maybe the new Fuji models will get better continuous AF. Even if it remains 2 years behind Sony's and Canon's AF, it will still be good.

Its main downsides are its large size (if you want high portability), slow focusing (not good for tracking/sports photography), and high energy consumption (you definitely need at least three batteries for a four-hour photowalk). Other than these issues, it is a great camera.

OM System has the answer to that, probably. The E-M10 Mark IV has some upgrades, when compared to the Mark III, but we must remember that all camera manufacturers implement "intentional limitations" on their lower-end models - a practice known as market segmentation. Nonetheless, even entry-level models are becoming quite potent over time. For example, look at Canon with their R50, which is a significant step up from the M50. Most likely, OM System will release a great E-M10 Mark V, but "intentional limitations" due to market segmentation will always be present across all camera brands.
