a longer stitch length for topstitching leather would help, a great job otherwise because putting in zippers are not easy! Cute jacket!

Next time you sew a rib knit as a hemband try doing the burrito method. That way the Seam is inside the hemband. Just sew it on before the zipper and the sleeves. It all fits into the hemband surprisingly

I actually have that same dress in the same color and a deep green and I plan on making a jacket from both! I just cleaned out my closet and realized that I never wore either one and the ultrasuede fabric is so beautiful! Thank you so much for your inspiration❤

Rachel Ann, I have been wanting to upcycle some items in my closet for some time now, but it is so hard for me to make the first cut, you have differently inspired me. I have been machine embroidering for several years now and have never tired of it. it gives your project a finished look. I am so proud of you I know your family and friends are going to love the gifts you made for them.

Great remakes! I have a hard time parting with things I've made and not worn as I feel so guilty and wasteful since I'm not sure if the thrift store is going to actually resell them or toss them. I do consider remaking things sometimes, so thank you for the inspiration. Your embroidery is beautiful! I actually need to work on a birthday bib for my grandson who is turning one in a few weeks. I have a design I make for the babies on their first birthday which started with my youngest son (who is 20 now). My nephews got them, a few friends, and now my two grandsons. My embroidery machine is ancient and really gives me lots of fits. I've never gotten into it, so I just fight it when I have to need to embroidery something. Such a shame because it's a Babylock and was spendy when I got it. Thankfully it doubles as a sewing machine, so I do have a backup machine if that need arises. Happy sewing!

I’ve also shopped my closest to repurpose some items that I don’t /can’t wear. I have two pairs of jeans that I plan to make into a long skirt and two t-shirts that are a bit too tight into a color block shirt. I’ve never done this before, but am excited to see what happens. Happy sewing 🧵

I love that pink crushed velvet easy vogue dress you made. I saw similar colour and fabric here in Canada a couple days ago and thought of you. It was $22 per metre here. Ouch! I’ll wait for a big sale on it. They had several colours but the pink looked best. Keep up the good work. You are very inspiring.

Let me tell ya sis , that is an easy going dress 👗 pattern M8141 , it sews up real good , i'm thinking about making that dress in green peacock 🦚feather cotton print fabric for the 3rd time , i sew ❤ it , ❤ it , ❤ it & making a light blue denim vest from McCall's M7071 costume pattern , a Vogue ruffle blouse V1728 , make these other patterns if I don't choose to make that dress again , with a Simplicity skirt S5005 , what do you think of them pattern combinations ❤?

I used the stretch thread - eloflex and it was great. I made some knit crepe pants and used cotton thread. Yep they split in the seam. I used the thread and no more problems. I bought my thread from Hobby Lobby but they only have two colors- black and white for $1.99- not bad. You will love sewing with the thread. Happy sewing
