Welcome to the AGAW collection 🤣 Would you be interested in a sew along for the Very Easy Very Vogue 9311 pattern? Let me know and I'll try to get that going! Happy sewing and creating! And thank you for being here! Link to MSBLUE is in the description : )
Thanks for sharing your makes. I love your versions of several of the patterns a lot more than what is pictured on the pattern envelope, and while initially I never would have thought to sew them up, your versions are making me reconsider!
I would absolutely LOVE a sew-with-me anytime and with anything you decide! I love your pieces, especially that stunning wrap dress. I’ve only been sewing since April and have made many garments but still struggle understanding some of the terms and instructions. So any sew-with-me videos are so helpful. Thank you for sharing! You’re so inspiring 😊
I love that you started sewing! We all have to start somewhere that’s for sure and I constantly feel like I am still learning! Appreciate your kind words and I will definitely have to whip up a sew with me video either for the Vogue dress or maybe another fun piece. But the Vogue 9311 is such a beginner friendly piece, I highly recommend. Thank you so much for being here and happy happy sewing!😊🧵🪡
I just bought the first blouse pattern you showed and appreciate the tips. I m going to raise the back neckline for my needs but I love the blouse. Everything is lovely in green and white. I Always enjoy your posts. ☺️
Ohhhh good to know! Really worked at it but I had a lot of trouble getting it to meet at the point. I forgot to mention in the video, but I ended up just pleating and sewing down the fabric in the front! 🤪 happy sewing!
Love all your makes!! I think for the ganni-inspired top it would work better if you moved the middle tie down to your bust the way you put a button at the bust first and then space the rest of the buttons around the one at the bust. Thus will help with gaping.
Thank you so much! And that is incredibly helpful. I actually did not realize you were supposed to start at the bust first and then work your way from there lol very helpful tip! Happy happy, sewing and creating 😊🪡🧵
If you are looking for a ganni inspired pattern look at Fabric Godmother Fleur. It is fantastic. I added a fourth tie because I am busty. I love the fresh look of the white and green.
Did you learn everything by yourself? Or did you join a course first? I sew a lot but mostly bags and quilts, pillows and all those things. I also sewed costumes for my family for eventions like Halloween, but there there is no need to be super precise. But now I am and I will again be a grandma and so I am suddenly wishing to sew clothes for the babies. So I watched a lot of TH-cam videos and…, well now I would like clothes for myself, too. Nevertheless I have no fabric store around me and must by online. For a bag or a pillow, not difficult, you buy canvas or cotton. But these are not the right fabrics for clothing…. Okay I know there a jerseys and sweater fabrics, but which one has a nice drape and feels good on your skin. These are questions I cannot answer and this is so sad. I only can blind buy on good luck. Btw I only like natural fabrics or at least a mix of. And I don’t want to start with a slippery fabric or something else more difficult. And also the patterns: I saw one video with a dress I am dreaming of. But that lady said that the explanation were really bad and no single picture. Can you recommend a pattern brand which is understandable and helpful? Thank you for all your videos, I love the clothes on you…., really…., but I am more somebody without grinds and ruffles🙈.
Hi! I love that you already sew bags, quilts, and pillows! You should absolutely go for it and sew up some clothing for yourself and little ones. Honestly, I am self taught. But I also watch TH-cam videos when needed to assist with technical details! Sometimes there are classes that you can take at local sewing shops or even online. I’ve really mainly only worked with big four patterns such as McCalls, new look, Vogue, Simplicity-and so those would be my suggestions for starting out. Choose patterns that are rated easy that will get you into the flow of sewing clothing for yourself. Mood fabrics offers a wide variety of gorgeous fabrics online that you can order. And they have great sales! Thank you for being here and happy happy creating to you!
