มุมมอง 1Kปีที่แล้ว
Our Review of the epic VNM Sim Racing Shifter. A great dual sequential and H-pattern sim shifter.
I hate how all of the high end sim rig pedals are super tall, I have really small feet and need something shorter like the P500’s but want the P1000 performance
Are those monitors 32 inch? I'm just now placing my order on this seat and the TR120 rig; Just trying to get a frame of reference for what 32 inch triples will look like on my rig. I'll probably go with integrated triple mount after I settle on the exact monitors.
@@AdamsOlympia yes 3 x ultragear 32s. Good eye!
@@player1simgear Nice! I ended up ordering the smaller of the two TR integrated triple mounts. (800mm center profile) .. Hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot by going too small. I've read some conflicting comments on whether its big enough for getting ideal angles with 32" monitors..
@@AdamsOlympia Ahh yeah tbh it will be a bit small - that center bar needs to be longer than 800mm for the 32s, if you can change it now I would. Otherwise you can get the center bar separately, or even just get a length of extrusion from a local extrusion place near you - grab a 1200m length and swap it out.
thanks for the video
I've got the same issue with my rig and rudder pedals, I have the Slaw Device Vipers and they're great, but they are very wide and I'm trying to figure out how I want to mount everything. I think what I'll end up doing it putting my seat on sliders and moving it back for flight sims and forward for racing.
You can build a door for in and out
Thank you for the video! Would you say this still holds true given that OpenXR was recently added to the Pimax Play app? Would it still be a good idea to download and use the toolkit? Lastly, would you have any Pimax Play all settings recommendations? Thank you!
I went to a crystal from a psvr2 and while the crystal is way better visually, the first thing i noticed was the horizontal fov on the crystal is much worse. I was really surprised and thought i had a setting wrong or something. Nope just how they are. Great vertical fov but i don't need that for sim racing. Hope i can get my hands on some of these!
I have a faster cpu and a 4080 super but can hardly get 80 fps on my metaquest 3 on inracing in low settings, weird
Are those the VNM pedals? how do you like them?
Can I use with G29 on pc?
Yes absolutely - the Shifter plugs into a usb port.
Alacantra?
Yep. Mistakes were made. 🙂
That seat looks the opposite of solid.
You think it's good for fps gaming?
Is the P500 pedal recognized by the sigma converter and available on ps5?
Can this rig be used. For Space Flight games as well. One other question is. Since the tubes are all nice, & round. How do you put buttons boxes on them. Maybe some panels from Virpil. Thank you for posting this video..
Wow nice! Floor mounted yet with the features
@@asSIMuNation yeah that's a really nice touch.
😂😂😂 dude I just subbed because your sense of humor added to amazing Reviews on sim products!
Nice!
Are these pedals compatible with a Moza Base? I have the R5 with a Simagic GTneo atm
Connect by usb
On PC yes, as in they'd connect directly to your PC so you can use any pedal set, but they won't connect to your wheel base directly, and you'd need to run both the Moza Pit House and Simagic Sim Pro software, which is no drama.
@@player1simgear perfect mate! Yess indeed no worries there because that is currently how I run it, pit house/Simpro with the occasional SimHub if I’m feeling Spunky!
@@player1simgear I think these will be a great Upgrade from my SRP-Lite with Break Kit that I’m using!
I see that you have a set of VNM pedals as well :D when's a review for those coming out :D
Jumped from Fanatec to Simagic about 3 months ago. P1000's with the hydraulic brake and haptic motors on the throttle and brake are no comparison.
Would you say that haptic on the throttle is a musthave?
@@JoshuaVilca12 I like it when it comes to wheel slip and traction control. If you're only going to use one though. Use it for the brake.
@@slider9162 I'd agree - brake is the priority, it does depend on the car too - if you run a car with TC, the throttle haptics add a lot there.
Yep, couldn't agree more!
They look like a great entry point load cell pedal set
Absolutely, really good to see Simagic plugging this gap in their lineup.
Great review mate
@@Brett-604 thanks mate!
What do you know about this new shaft with extra pin contacts they had in this new RGB 12nm wheelbase?
Omg, they're Logitech G-Pro pedals....or rather, heavily inspired, lol.
I thought the same 😂
Yep definitely a similar vibe for sure!
Agreed!
I expected way more people (and reviewers) to pick up on that. I don’t feel that is necessarily a bad thing though.
Hmm
Cant wait to see what the cheaper Simagic shifter will look like . . . . 😉
Cant wait to see what the cheaper Simagic shifter looks like . . . 😉
haha watch this space!
What do you think? Will these new P500's help you make the jump into the Simagic eco System?
Already in the simagic ecosystem thanks to player1.. 👍🏻
@@matthewbeale8570 yep likewise, hopefully these new pedals enable more people to jump in too!
@@player1simgearmaking my entry into sim racing and planing on alpha mini+gt1 wheel and p1000.
@@alexandrejev6590 awesome choice. That setup will scale well for you too as you get more experience.
Would the Pro version be overkill? For the GT Omega ART Sim RIg and also would it fit under the seat, Just have no dimension of it to work from.. An if it is overkill would it be ok just to turn it down from the Amp.
If you just want one buttkicker the PLUS is more then enough to shake your whole appartment :D
I take a hit with Ambient Occlusion
Has anyone managed to get the R5 bundle, Brooks Ras1ution2 and the SGP to work via a PS5 and Moza hub? I don’t seem to be having much luck, was hoping to use for WRC10. Thanks
What rig are you on?
Hi, my Antialiasing - Transparency stays greyed (locked). Can you point out how to unlock it? Thanks !
Haven’t checked if this has been asked by someone else or if you’ve mentioned it, but what do you personally have those index finger paddles bound to?
For that price you can better get sparco seat .. so much flex ..
If I pay $450 for a fixed seat, it better not any noticeable flex, let alone this amount. I'd much rather have a Sparco Sprint, NRG Prisma, or even the Next Level Racing ES1.
You failed to sync the audio correctly in this video.
absolutely no point in a motion sim unless the view moves with motion ffs.
Thats an interesting perspective, we use this rig for VR for flight, so it does move then, and as for racing, in rl your car moves relative to the world, not with it. Having the track tilt when your car does would be weird i think. Granted simulating lateral forces would make sense when tilting to simulate accelerating or braking, but we don't tend to have that set too high, and your brain does a great job compensating so that you dont even notice it.
If I buy the alpine seat does it come with a slider?
No, they are sold separately. Highly recommended though.
@@player1simgear Thanks, it shows it in the pictures on the trak racer website so I assumed it did, thanks tho
This is going to sound silly but I wish they'd of made their pro model gold in color. I feel like it really would have helped differentiate it from the other models from a visual standpoint.
Haha not a bad call, though it might look odd on some rigs!
You could always paint 🎨 it. To match your rig. If you want to add a splash 💦 of color.
are the rails suitable for all types of racing seats? I have a custom moulded carbon seat that I have lying around in the garage
It will depend on the mounting holes on your seat, but the brackets are pretty flexible, and if you get creative with a drill you could always make a custom hole on the bracket to line up with your seat mount points.
What do you guys think about this style of rapid-fire short gear content? Too short? Helpful? Let us know!
Tube is all i want. Started with playseat Trophy now TR8 Pro, if i ever get another will be TRX maybe this
Good call!
I could listen to that sexy voice all day long 😎
I bought a pimax Crystal Light I have a 5800 x3d and a 4080 super when I first bought my Crystal Light I had a 4070 super which I must warn people is definitely not enough for VR at least not to get decent benefits out of the Timex Crystal Light so be warned
I've tried a tubular rig before, I think I'll go with a profile rig from here on.
Yeah I agree, the profile rigs I prefer for how flexible they are re mounting peripherals. The Tubular rigs can look great though in a dedicated role.
They definitely have their home. In complete builds, tubular builds are typically much better ergonomically and aesthetically!
@@gibilator I agree with you about aesthetics, that's one area where tubular rigs win, but ergonomically profile rigs with their adjustability are far superior to tube setups. If you can't make a profile rig fit you perfectly you're doing it wrong
Aluminum profile rigs just feel and look cheap sometimes...and I cant stand the sound and squeaking. But yea they're definitely easy to work with
@@LamRehk Profile rigs are far stronger and less prone to "squeaking".
What do you think? Would you run this rig in your home? Let us know!
Sorry I can’t watch a a review when you say “it has very little flex and moving a little bit” when it flex’s so bad and it is important this doesn’t happen. When the seat isn’t flex free and you brake say at the 100m board and you need to produce 80% brake force due to the flex you will not hit that until you reach around the 75m board this is tested and proven and explained by race beyond matter here on YT. IMO it was disingenuous to say “it has very little flex” and they say “i can sell it flexing ever so slightly on camera” when it was flexing worse than any other seat I’ve reviewed. Call them out for this stuff don’t cover it up so you get more stuff to review otherwise you will find people move on ❤
How much does it cost to build and setup
This one is around $30k AUD, but a lot of that is the motion set up.
