For me the in-game mirrors in iRacing are the ultimate fps killer. No matter what I do I can't have mirrors turned on without dropping into the 30-40fps range on the grid.
Have you turned down the mirror quality? I agree they are essential to have them on!
Hey.. how are u finding the headset? I currently have Crystal preordered and is about to be shipped next week, I am thinking of cancelling it?
