Yep a lazy boy with a cobbled together wooded shalf like ring I have my GT7 CSLDD on as well as my Satick(Now Logitech) X52 HOTAS... Though honestly I don't use it enough and just prefer a gamepad my Retro fighter Game cube one for convence and egonomics.
Epic mate, yea, im running a setup for both racing and flight. I will have a video out soon on my setup. Jealous of the space you have, awesome gaming room and fantastic setup on your rig as well.😊
Looks great mate, I want to do something similar, main difference is I’d want a center mounted joystick and I’d like to be able to quick swap the steering wheel column to use my mfds and ufc for fa18.
Wow nice! Yeah that's a very similar vein to where we want the rig to go - hot swapable MFD's and an ICP mount with a quick release. Some custom 3d printing is on the horizon.. 🙂
Some similarities with my dual purpose rig. I dont have motion, which certainly removes a large complication. I dont have it set up as fully hybrid in that I have to convert between race and flight. That is probably a full 10 min action, as its somewhat in-depth. I found that getting in/out in flight mode was too much a hassle and I kept bumping into the triple 32" curved monitors. I instead made the side rails open like a door and lock down so I can swing it open in flight mode. Not many rigs for dual purpose, so I love taking whatever ideas I can get from others. Thanks for sharing!
I've got the same issue with my rig and rudder pedals, I have the Slaw Device Vipers and they're great, but they are very wide and I'm trying to figure out how I want to mount everything. I think what I'll end up doing it putting my seat on sliders and moving it back for flight sims and forward for racing.
Thats an interesting perspective, we use this rig for VR for flight, so it does move then, and as for racing, in rl your car moves relative to the world, not with it. Having the track tilt when your car does would be weird i think. Granted simulating lateral forces would make sense when tilting to simulate accelerating or braking, but we don't tend to have that set too high, and your brain does a great job compensating so that you dont even notice it.
What do you think? Anyone else running a dual rig for flight and racing?

@@GreenBlueWalkthrough haha love it! Man so many individual setups out there, if it works well for you that's awesome!
Awesome gear mate
setup looks epic, if I ever upgrade my TR120, I'll be doing something along these lines
For sure mate!

Thanks mate! Yeah please do post your set up, we'd love to see it!
Finally got the video finished 😊 th-cam.com/video/qorgzErGt7o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ueZd_Wk1d970-xtJ
Yep, have fixed steering support for racing (feels the most realistic with motion) and a different support for flight which moves with motion.
Nice. The VKB rudder is narrow and very precise, no brakes but that is not an absolute requirement.
Oh nice, I hadn't looked at VKB, thanks for the tip, I'll check them out!
Love this!
:-) Thanks!

2:47 Ioh by the way My CSL DD pedals have a "flight sim mode" so maybe other pedals do too?
Oh yes I forgot that about the CSLs, thanks for the reminder!

Did you ever put in rudder pedals?
Are those the VNM pedals? how do you like them?
What if you invert your driving pedals and free up more space for flight pedals underneath?
That's actually a great idea!
You can build a door for in and out
Niel is the best at gaming!🎮🏎️
Georgie you're a star! Thanks so much!
Nice!
How much does it cost to build and setup
This one is around $30k AUD, but a lot of that is the motion set up.
Your worse than I am. Lol
@@joagolf77 haha yeah I hear that! 😂😊
absolutely no point in a motion sim unless the view moves with motion ffs.
