@rorypritchard Right? In my Gyropalooza box I got 2 total eclipse Craves, and a second total eclipse Vanish. Felt like they were getting to the bottom of the bin a bit.

@Lozzamozza71 yes, they added it in BETA to an update recently and then after another update it's no longer in Beta.

@badass96ta they eventually added it, so it's getting better. The latest release now includes nose, hyzer and release angle but it was definitely a beta when it first launched. With how understable it makes the disc though, it may be most useful throwing into the net but again, I still don't think we age getting distance if it's thrown into a net.

@H00pster66 Not that I've ever seen. I remember thi king that last year, as I would rather be throwing stuff in the mid to high 160s, and the only lighter discs I saw were in the Gyropalooza box, but still it was only a couple of discs out of the whole box. I would love to see a box with the same discs but specifically in lighter weights. MVP does a bunch of discs in Fission plastic, so it shouldn't be that hard for them.

@greybearddiscgolf ive been thinking about baggin some of the fission plastic. I been finding most of my disc threw fac2 site. Ive been able to pick up teebirds thunderbirds in the 150g range still as overstable as the max but they turn quicker in flight.

@H00pster66 In that case, might I suggest something from the massive distance menu? The Fission Dimension in 166g flew amazing for me. I did a video on it and the Defy earlier in the year. If you have a bit more torque you can also try thr Fission Time Lapse, again flew great for me. In the Innova line, the Pro Plastic is absolutely slept-on in my opinion. My Pro Destroyer at 166 is one of my most trusted discs for distance.

@craig5447 I just about parked 5 from the reds today with it. 15 feet short and sank the putt. Just like the practice throws, pretty dead straight. It has tremendous glide, too. I thought I threw it really low, but it just stayed in the air all the way.

@joestierhoff589 did you order from the US or Europe? I bought mine early because I'm in the Shield Club so we get to buy a day early, which was Boxing Day here in Canada.

You hit the nail on the head there. I just looked at the Rock's I have, ( a regular haloand a champion), and they are nearly identical. Same dome, but the Roc3 has a bit of a bead, and the Glacier has no bead so it should fly pretty much the same. Good eye!!!

​@Kennb19 They could be clearing out a bunch of stuff. Discmania posted a video a little while ago looking forward, and they are going to have some big changes. Stuff like the Active line will disappear altogether and molds will move around to different lines, and I think he said they were dropping the Methos, so it's natural they would want something to replace it.

@@greybearddiscgolf yeah I want to buy more boxes but idk if I want to choose the known variety of the red boxes or the cool 3-4 discs in the black box haha it's a huge dillema

We'll see if it flies the way I hope too. I would like to see it be not as overstable as my Pyro, but more overstable than my Hex.

@michaelschoen9201 Starting to yeah. A few have crept into my bag this year. The Detour for sure, the Range went directly into my bag after the Space Race, plus I have a Pyro that may lose out to the Balance if it flies like I suspect.

@benoitsouligny863 Thanks, same to you! I would have liked to get a photon or a Detour, but I am OK with the pulls. A couple new ones I don't have. This makes I think 5 glow craves in my collection, so I may just post a couple on FB. The white glow on the new Crave with the black Lab2 stamp is pretty amazing.

@ i got i double the vanish, but got alot of stuff i wanted, resistor proton,hex and tesla r2, reactor eclipse,neutron inertia…only problem 7 white discs and i live in quebec where its already white so cant really try them till spring😵‍💫

@@greybearddiscgolf that would be great! Discs also get more understable when led's are put on the discs for evening rounds so thats absolutely true

And as we've developed this comment thread into a very useful chat about both of these items, it's become clear that the Tech Disc is truly not meant to be thrown in the field. What really helped me realize this was the last update I did that proved to me that the sensor tag made any disc it was on much, much more understable. The tech disc flight path can be adjusted by changing the flight numbers in the software, so how it actually flies is completely irrelevant. My next test is going to be putting the GameProofer on a very overstable disc to see how it affects the flight. Plus we just got another software update to go with the Ver.7 of the tag firmware which gives us improved accuracy, mass deletion, and two new readings, Launch Angle and Quality of Release. If it ever stops pouring rain here in Port Alberni, I'll get some more throws in and see how it's progressing. Stay tuned!

@StevenKitchensDiscGolf I just have the Cloud Stone version, and it's permanently in my bag for putts I need to release from below the rim and float up into the chains and for buttery smooth nose up approach shots.

Wild. It must be due to the addition of weight in the middle. MVP published one of their lab reports talking about why their glow is generally speaking more overstable, and they say it because the glow material makes the rim heavier.

@tonypeterson1204 I'm pretty happy with the box overall. I am now sitting patiently for my Gyropalloza 2024 box, so stay tuned for that opening, and of course the Black Box from Discmania too.

@route5discgolf Right, thank all the commenters for proving my wife right. She's going to love this. This is my third year doing the Discmania Mystery Boxes, and if I recall correctly, the boxes from two years ago actually had 9 discs for the same price then they went to 8 discs last year for the Mystery of the Lost Stones. Still a pretty good deal in my books.

@aaronlong6002 This year, they shipped UPS so I got a duty charge of about 25 bucks on top of shipping which was 19€. I put together a cart on the US store and the shipping would have been $98 CAD. Plus exchange on the box would have been close to $240 CAD from the US store. From the Europe store without the $16 in rewards, about $160 CAD to my door.

@@greybearddiscgolf Good to know $160 CAD isn’t bad for 8 discs The Iron Samurai was a great stamp and the S-line P2 I’d never seen before, enjoy the discs! Loved the video keep up the good content:)

@aaronlong6002 Yeah, I think the s-line P2 may be my choice for best pull. Although... that Splice is soooo nice.

@andrewm700 The ocean Waste Marine is so different than the Swirlies or the Pacific you could probably use both. I'm currently bagging both the OWMarine and the Swirly Pacific.

I guess if you ask a bunch of pros what they want, you get something that's different than what a bunch of "not pros" want. So, looking just at the 10 discs available in the DNA series, (and my guess is that we are going to get 10 different ones for the Black Box), you have: 2 - 12 speed 2 - 9 speed 7 - 7 speed 2 - 5 speed 2 - 4 speed 1 - 2 speed And to my arm at least 6 are very overstable for me, with two being borderline, (I'm looking at you FD), and two that are pretty straight. Maybe they'll fill the gaps in the next box? We'll likely see an Enigma or Paradigm, the new Notion Putter, maybe a DD and an Instinct or Essence? If you haven't already seen it, I suggest you go to Discmania's TH-cam Channel and look for the "Official Lineup Updates" video from about 4 months ago. They're gonna do a fairly big shakeup if they institute it all.

@@Carback27 Good point. This is exactly the feedback I need. I definitely talk too much in my videos. I was thinking of doing a couple of reviews where I just voice over, kind of like how Six Sided Discs does it or Cheating Lefty.
