I just ordered the glow Gorgon myself. Looks like it'll be a great fit for my glow bag. I'll be doing a comparo between that and the Star and GStar ones as well. Couldn't bring myself to buy the Pro plastic one, given how many trees I tend to hit. 😂
@@greybearddiscgolf like in your video today the dx is going to be less stable then the star. Brand new the dx will be super straight with a roc fade. They designed the cheetah to be a faster straight roc. You should be able to hyzer flip that dx cheetah really easy
Are these plastics characteristics always the same ? I mean, Gstar is always the most understable for any given discs, then Pro, then Proto, and Star is always the most overstable ? For every Innova discs. And where would fit Champion plastic in this scale ? (Considering DX would certainly be the most understable, before Gstar)
@pelkariya6660 Innova says on their website that the Pro generally has more glide, and like you say, I don't think it's a secret that the GStar is understable. I've also heard that the Champion and Halo can be more overstable. You'd have to find a better comparison with a single mold, similar weight, and more plastics. The Valkyrie would be a good one for comparison. It comes in a ton of plastics. But things change, too. This may not always have been the case and may not be again in the future. Heck, Innova just posted that they are moving all their 9 speed discs to their Fairway Driver category, so who knows.
Generally understable to overstable: DX, GStar, Pro, Star, Champ, Halo. I don't feel like glow usually makes much of a difference, but I haven't thrown much proto champ stuff yet, so maybe this equation changes now. There is, of course, variance within that. I usually get Pro to get a kind of beat in star feel from the box, but have had a couple arrive very overstable. The good (and bad) of Pro is that it beats in faster. So even those that started more overstable got to the sweet spot fast. But of course the sweet spot doesn't last as long. That his champ (proto) came a little more understable could be coincidence / normal variance, or could be that the new proto is a little more understable than normal champ. This also can all change with dome (and surely other factors as well).
Great job on this video! Amazing how much variation there is.

You ever pick up a star cheetah?
@H00pster66 No, but there's a local guy that uses a DX one all the time. I'll add it to the list!
