Assassin's Creed (2007) - The Start of Something Great (Retrospective)
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A review-style analysis and retrospective of Assassin's Creed (2007) by Ubisoft. This retrospective contains spoilers for the whole game, and all of my thoughts are coming from 15 years of perspective on the Assassin’s Creed formula. We’ll start with a brief history of the game’s development, we’ll then analyse the story, gameplay and world-building that turned this game into a franchise and ha...
Actually fantastic content from such a small channel. If you haven’t already I’d suggest saying f*ck it and paying the stupid fee to promote your video. Would be well worth it. Keep up the work man
Sniper Elite 2 was way too dumbed down and simplistic IMO, made for people who wanted constant action and simple shooting mechanics to fit a run and gun play style instead of methodically planning your routes and movements, scouting the environment and slowly crossing every street, and taking wind speed/direction/distance/coriolis effect into account - like you SHOULD be doing. The linear maps of Sniper Elite V2 ruin the very CONCEPT of sniping by railroading you into enemy after enemy to keep the action up (there shouldn't be ANY combat "action" in a Sniper game, because the whole point of being a sniper is STEALTH! But I digress). I wouldn't even consider V2 a sniper game, just a regular WWII gunner with sniper elements.
My issue is re-playability, I don’t enjoy coming back to SE5 as much as SE4.
Oh no ... Not shreks panzer
Dude walking around with a mg88 on his back
wene are u going to do zomby army triligy and zomby army 4 dead ware
Season 1 and 2 are now lower in price.
No one ever mentions the downgrade to the X=Ray.
I know a lot of people compare Sniper Elite and Hitman. But for some reason I still can't figure out... I find the newest Hitman game boring compared to newest Sniper Elite game. I can play Sniper Elite for hours, but after just a little while with Hitman, I'm yawning.
I played the shit out of sniper elite 3 multiplayer. Those were some fun times
If they made sniper 6 with all the new stuff from 5 & the polish of (& stuff removed from) 4 it would be the holy grail of sniper elite games.
I live overlooking the Houmet (Who may) Headland level Guernsey - awesome rendering of our environment and the German bunkers, fortifications, and landscape I explored as a kid.
20:00 cursor spotted :P
Remember when ps2 and 360 games were new
Nice video New sub keep it up
Ah, sniper elite 4, the game where I made it a challenge to kill every single enemy that I can
fly fishing and golf, damn you`re harsh boy! :D (though it did make me sub :P )
Great video! I love this series so it’s nice to hear some thoughts on the titles I didn’t get to play, like the original and V2. As for why gas wasn’t used in WW2, you’re correct that it wasn’t because of Hitler’s previous experience with being gassed (although negative public opinion on gas weapons was a factor in Allied nations). Rather it was because as a military weapon gas is good for terror but it’s tactically not very useful. Because of WW2’s more mobile warfare, there weren’t a ton of cases for gas to be used where more conventional weapons would be more effective.
Amazing video man please keep up the great work
These dlc are so expensive
Came to sniper elite by pure chance, totally hooked on it . Thanks for the retrospective.
Great channel to listen to while doing collectibles, look forward to more content
4 has the best movement idk why they took out crouch run in 5 and it feels a bit me sluggish in 5 but I still love it for the settings
I wish someone would do a video on the pirate voice from the observatory top room who is also behind the unopenable door in the cave.
"Not a damn thing." I love your videos dude. It's like sitting on a couch and hearing your friend ramble about games and real life.
Sniper Elite 3 & Sniper Elite 4 are both Masterpiece
stealth in SE5 is bad but Sniper Elite 4 is the best sniper elite
I found using rocks as the best way to take out lights. This game franchise is so much fun to play and its a shame its short. 4 needed to be a bit longer.
No Smines no crouch running Limited *TSA* From my experience i say its *FAIR* 😢😤🤷🏿♂️
As someone who grew up when pong was a thing, its hard for me to be too critical of this game. The care to the environments is truly commendable. Its a beautiful game to just look at. I have spent an unhealthy amount of my life playing this and have minimal regrets.
Sniper Elite - 00:00 Sniper Elite V2 - 21:09 Sniper Elite 3 - 48:04 Sniper Elite 4 - 1:18:12 The boardgame? - 2:10:48 Sniper Elite 5 - 2:31:23 5’s DLC - 3:27:31
I enjoyed the 4th. The open level and stealth sniping is well designed. But the 3rd ans 2nd are pretty differents.
I wanna remake of sniper elite 1! Great game had some rough edges but awesome!
Amazing video champ
I bought this for pc when it came out was a awesome title! I do miss game manuels some were awesome! Diablo 1 and 2 had some sweet art work!
I was born in 2004 which meant I never got the chance to play Lego Island myself. However, I do feel a weird sense of nostalgia for it ever since I watched Brutalmoose's review on the game he made 12 years ago. Even as an adult, I would absolutely love to try this game out for myself on a modern pc.
Fun review. Rewatch every now and then because video's spirit is the same as the game: something familiar and entertaining with its own soul. And waiting dor the next video to drop 😉
I got this game for fathers day a couple of weeks ago, best gift ever from my kids (or wife). Some how i missed this game series so Sniper Elite 5 was my first. This game is perfect for me since I am now 41 years old and I do not like MP and fast gameplay anymore, but more games where you can plan ahead. Anyway, I just wan’t to give you a big thanks for the videoes and guides, I have subbed to your channel and looking now forward to Sniper Elite 6.
I dont know if you are aware but Sniper Elite Resistance (Spinoff based on S.E.5) is coming next week 30/01
All of the jagers are fallschirmjager. Valkyrie jagers are just a fictional super-duper-elite version.
17:42 This is like the Target: Fuhrer mission in SE4. About 30% of the mission is outside a base, and the other 70% inside. If you are seen outside, the main entrance to the base is closed. If you are seen inside, the entire base is placed on high alert, and Hitler runs to escape on a boat next to the entrance. If you destroy the boat before he boards, he will instead retreat to a saferoom with guards.
I don't get this cellshaded look the remaster is going for. It looks like a TellTale game sometimes with all the thick outlines around everything.
Thank you for this insightful retrospective. I did 4,3,2 and 5. Three was the hardest and most frustrating. With V2 I have a real soft spot for. Love the missions and the environment. Not as open world as later games, I enjoy the linear progression.
I hope SE:Resistance is what 5 should have been. I like the more realistic take on game but i want more enemies to shoot in maps, sometimes they felt empty
Why the gameplay like a splinter cell blacklist movement 😂 this is ubisoft or rebellion dev?
