bro this series is elite
I learned it by watching Karl.
Preach
Ye sniper elite is elite
I’m playing SE3 right now
Now I understand after all those years.
The bullet Karl shown us after burying Brauer, was used to kill Vahlen.
If my biggest critiques are "Why is the video so short?" and "Why aren't there more video of him that I haven't watched?", I'd say you are on the right track. Can't wait for SE4!
Thank you! Working on Sniper Elite 4 as we speak, might slip in a little surprise upload before then, who knows 🤔
I would love to see you do a series on the sniper ghost warrior series
I'll add it to the list!
As one of the twelve people who apparently still plays this game, I'd just like to say it's my favourite one in the franchise. And no, I'm not willing to fight anyone who disagrees. I just love the "stranger in a strange land" vibe it gives. But sidenote: "Sniper Elite IV: Italy". "Sniper Elite V: France". Why is III called "Sniper Elite III: Africa"? By that standard both IV and V ought to be called "Sniper Elite: Europe". Ah well. 🤫
Don't worry my friend I'll fight em for you haha. Also that's a good point, I always thought it was a reference to the Afrika corps but you're right, the later games are just place names so that theory kinda goes out the window...
Anyway thanks for the comment and the watch, I hope you enjoyed! I'm writing SE5 as we speak. :)
@@Analog_Nightmare The best thing about this video was that you included actual historical facts and references. I really appreciate that, and in this day and age, remembering our darkest aspects in history is more important than ever.
3 takes place all over the North African theatre so I guess that's why they went with the name to just generalize the North African Front in general plus it might be a reference to the Afrika Korps. 4 and 5 mostly take place in a single country but I do think they have several missions in other countries so I genuinely have no clue
Man I've played Sniper Elite 4 and loved it, so I bought Sniper 3 and 5
This video of the story is just amazing, hope the chanel get more views
Haha you and me both! Feel free to share the channel with anyone you think might enjoy!
What did you think of SE5?
@@Analog_Nightmare the gameplay is more realistic (what I liked), the only thing that got me mad was "season pass 2" 'cause I've got the deluxe and it's not included
But just thinking about de main story and gameplay, it's one of my favorites
So glad you mentioned Lady Death. I was just watching another video about her incredible story.
Truly insane. I could've filled the video with even more Soviet snipers, it really can't be understated how essential they were.
pont du fahs on Authentic... is a nightmare... did once and never again... bugs, invisible walls & Panzerschrecks enemies and you back to beginning of the mission...
I can only imagine...
Just discovered your channel. You make some great videos, mate. Keep 'en coming
Thank you!
YES! I was waiting it. :) Again great job on this video.
Haha thank you my friend. It's nice to have such patient viewers. I like that I can take my time to really get the video how I want it and still have people like yourself show up 😁
@@Analog_Nightmare No problem, Cant wait for SE4 (and take your time to make for use a excellent review!) ;)
As much as I enjoyed this game, I was deeply disappointed that we didn't get to fight the Rat tank at the end, real missed opportunity after all that buildup.
Sure it might have been crazy, but having to duck, weave and sneak through the rocky desert as the Rat drives around, dodging its massive arsenal and taking potshots at the few precious weak points and having to run up occasionally for a strategic satchel charge placement could have made for a great final boss, and test the player on everything they've learned.
Especially since we've had to do exactly that for some of the smaller tanks!
Awesome work! I'm about to go watch your SE4 vid now!
Thank you so much, enjoy!!
Can't wait to watch his sniper elite 4 video.
Checks videos and que the sad music.
Haha I promise it will be worth the wait. SE4 vid is almost an hour and half right now 😁
@@Analog_Nightmare you had me at haha.
A great video and an even better history lesson. Don’t mind if I do.
I own 3 and 4, also have the zombie games but they get old faster. I pre ordered 5 but sold it after finishing it, it wasn't bad but it didn't hook me. I like 3 and 4 about the same. The 4th game is bigger and the AI is better on the hardest settings, but 3 is still really good and worth owning, AI is also fine enough to enjoy. The environments are different enough in both to the point that they don't feel repetitive owning both.
Which is really where I think the strength of the series lies- traveling to all the key battlefields around the world, and being immersed in the environment. Atleast for me!
3:40 Having played 5 and 4 first, that relocation mechanic really annoyed me at first. Having to leave a good spot after one shot, run 40 yards, then run straight back and hide in the exact same spot.
For me the Confrontation mission ending was so anticlimactic. Killed all the snipers in that final open area, screwed around for 5 minutes looking for the dude and when i finally spotted him I just shot him in the neck, roll the credits. He was not even looking at me. That last fight could have been so much better
Exactly. I had better sniper battles with random soldiers throughout the campaign, and when we finally encounter someone that's Sniper Elite(r) than you it's the easiest encounter in the game.
@@Analog_Nightmare And I say it could have been so much better bcz of one thing SE3 does so much better than SE4 and that is sniper encounters. In SE3 they are almost always hidden on ridges or bushes and have very good sightlines while in SE4 they are in rather obvious spots and bcz the maps are so open u can just avoid them most of the time. Another thing that makes SE3 snipers so much more dangerous is the scope glint, its dim, very brief and it only happens every 10 or so seconds if they are looking directly at u compared to the 15kW searchlight surgically attached to their forehead in SE4.
I wish Rebellion had watched this video before releasing Sniper Elite 5 as it explains what makes SE3 a good game. Things that are sadly missing from SE5 like good level design and actual sniping. I hate all the up-close nonsense in SE5. I like to bide my time and tag everyone before dishing out gonad shots.
Okay first of all- amazing comment, I'm extremely flattered. Second of all I think I might've figured it out. I've been really conflicted on SE5, and I think we're seeing the Zombie Army games (and that other spin-off I forget the name of) bleeding into Sniper Elite. Those have essentially exclusively up-close encounters and I wonder if it got the devs in that mindset, they started thinking about ways to improve that gameplay and letting the sniping fall by the wayside?
@@Analog_Nightmare SE5 is just Zombie Army and Call Of Duty crossed with Hitman.
I look forward to watching the upcoming video on SE5 as you'll probably be able make my thoughts and feelings of the game into understandable sentences and probably explain the 1 missing thing that makes it less good than SE4.
I just can't put my finger on what it is.
Hey man which one is your favourite out of the 5 I mean they are all so good for me it’s tough to pick? 👍
I would say 3 for story and 4 for gameplay! How about you?
@@Analog_Nightmare I mean I’d say the story in all of them are pretty decent and as a whole 4 or 5 in terms of gameplay👍
Sniper Elite 4 is the best MGS 5 - Like Game, just started SE 4 and boy, I am reminded again of MGS 5, feels like a Finished MGS 5 game
I haven't played any of the MGS games- I was a PC/Xbox kid so I never had access to them. With all the porting Sony is doing I wonder if we'll see an MGS collection on PC 🤔
@@Analog_Nightmare just try MGS 5 Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, it's the 3rd Prequel and available on all Platform except Nintendo
But MGS V is way more Colorful in Gameplay than SE series and more Repeatable, with rich Mods
@@Analog_Nightmare btw, I love your Explanation, i was playing SE 3 too on Rented PS3 few years ago lol
But never finish it because it's too yellow😅, maybe because I don't really like deserts
Out of curiosity, have you played Death Stranding?
Siwa 😳? Like in Bayek of Siwa 😳? Daaaaaamnnnn 😳😳😳.
Shhh we don't speak of Bayek on this channel... Yet ;)
@@Analog_Nightmare Damn man, you've got yourself a sub. 😁
Having played 4 first I did not enjoy the lagging controls & dumb AI. The animation is very good
I noticed the controls too after going back to collect some footage, I didn't notice when I went from v2 to 3 but it's pretty noticable to me now
Can the X-ray vision be turned off? Man I hate that feature in video games.
Yup! You can also change the speed it plays at.
Literally that fuckinggggggggggg door on Hitler mission 😑😑😑😑 I don't know how many times I tired to find different route.
Maaan I thought I was losing my gd mind
I loved 2 but couldn’t get into 3 at all. I just prefer the more linear approach.
I think when you have a linear experience like 2 there's a lot of effort that can go into getting each encounter juuust right. That can definitely be lost out on when you go for more of an open world approach
@@Analog_Nightmare my issue was the feeling of the open areas being far too big and feeling like an absolute chore to get to where you needed to be. I haven’t tried 4&5 yet because 3 has kinda put me off. I have just bought the first one for the OG Xbox though. Oh and btw the zombie army games I think are amazing but again they are more linear. 👍
@@sandman8920 What the heck are you talking about, in 3 the size of the maps is just right, it's a PS3 game anyhow, the last of its kind. When the PS4 came around map sizes in games started getting way bigger. Don't even bother with 4 and 5 if you can't even handle a small map like 3, in the later games each map is about 4 times the size.
@@Particle_Ghost have you played 1&2?
@@sandman8920 I haven't played 1 and 2 but I've been tempted to check V2. I think the only thing that stopped me is the smaller levels. I didn't even get to 3 until two years after playing 4, I was blown away by how good it was. I can't even go back to the Splinter Cell games because you have far more freedom in these games. Is V2 really worth checking out and is the AI still good? I have Zombie Army Trilogy so I'm familiar with the level setup.
How do the Germans have tigers in 1942
I think they technically had them in Africa for the veeeery last bit of 1942, I guess Karl's that big of a PITA that he gets it like a pre-order bonus 😂
9:12
"On second thought, they get exactly what they fuckin' deserve."
Ah, yes-for their bad style choices. Not for, y'know, being nazis lol
😂😂
Well if they are just normal soldiers then maybe that clothing is the worst thing they've done
