Unless this woman was a member of the armed services or a duly elected government official, she has never taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the US. One of the huge bastardizations of the law that this so called Sovereign Citizen Movement goes by is that they try to apply civil law, a Supreme Court ruling regarding civil law and civil procedures to criminal law and criminal procedures which any one with a modicum of background in the US justice system knows are very different and that they do not have the same rules and procedures. The judge should order a complete psychological evaluation to see if this woman is mentally fit to be able to represent herself

This judge!🤣 He kills me! This is no modern democrat judge. This judge is made from the same stuff my democrat grandparents were made of. Work hard, do good, hang tough, and be kind to littles. I mention he’s a democrat because I saw that in an article and was surprised. Because, even tho he’s soft hearted he’s tough and he’s a no nonsense kind of judge. I like the combination of those qualities and I respect his leadership. Politics is big on my heart right now for obvious reasons. This preliminary exam is a perfect reason why so many defendants waive this procedure. The judge pulled out points the prosecution failed to point out, but you can darn well bet the prosecutor took notes and will reread the court record in order to make them at trial. However, I'm betting he's going to beg for a deal now. Because, there is going to be little doubt in a juror's mind what happened. Judge Simpson is amazing. Even though this is lengthy, it was worth listening to every bit of it. I believe the defendant was not only credible but brave as hell. While she may have been a heavy drug user, I didn't find her to be a person who would make an accusation of this seriousness for no reason. Thank you for posting this. I really hope this scares the hell out of any predator out there who attempts to do this to a woman. Let's hope he is put away for a very long time.

I don't care if you're married to a person for years, if someone says, "NO"... then no means no. So establishing some sort of relationship for money doesn't mean anything. When it comes to the truth and credibility, you need to do much better than casual conversation. Everyone lies in casual conversations about silly things. It doesn't mean they lack complete credibility. If she was on probation, then maybe get her probation records to see what they say about her credibility and how often she was caught lying or doing something in this context. Don't bring up a text message about a guy she's asking for rides, with a guy who is only doing things for sex. Bringing up the fact the defendant the defendant was asking for this is actually bad for him in my opinion. Especially if you look through text messages and see any sort of frustration.
