I seem to recall long ago that counties had something like halfway houses they would release mentally ill, non dangerous, people to that would genuinely try to help them. It would include doctors who would prescribe needed medications and a program to get them jobs if they could be leveled out with the drugs. The house was not just a very short term situation.
1st case. Example of why Mr Marvin is on the way out. She has the more severe charge downgraded, telling the cop (basically) we do not care if she assaulted you (officer) or blocked you (officer) etc. We simply do not waste time convicting her on what is her 4th felony is what I think Judge M said. If it was her felony, maybe give her a break but this was her 4th and she has felonies in other counties. She is habitual and does not care.
If she was competent, sure. But, she's not. She's absolutely not capable of understanding her cases. The constitution won't allow people like that to stand trial until they are competent. They need mental health facilities, but you can not keep them there for longer than their charge would have them in jail or prison. You can't take civil liberties from citizens like that.
@@tiffanyholman4028 If they had mental health facilities, there are methods to force people into them without criminal charges. Involuntary admission has a high bar - rightfully so - but I bet she would clear it easily.

Three Rivers is such a beautiful area. I go to a lovely retreat center there. I’m not going to seek out the worst house in TR next time I visit. I can visualize how bad it is.
Are you saying that in previous trips that's what you do? Spend time seeking out the worst house? Worse in what way? And to what end? What is the point?
Note to the wolf. Drug addiction is a real illness. Sometimes the best available treatment is to be kept in jail. But addicts who are not sociopaths, when not actively using, care about others and it is empty and meaningless to claims otherwise.
18:25 Basically all of these cases have been featured on this channel or other lawtube channels. They can be very entertaining, but ultimately are very sad and representative of how we have failed the severely mentally ill in this country.
I wonder what effect having a drug house person loose again will effect the general drug population in the area and make their future lead prosecutor’s job in January that much more difficult and worsen her year end numbers come next election cycle. Sounding a bit conspiratorial but leaving an open court appearance which alters the court’s ability to function in that moment looks on its surface to be manipulative

I’m not sorry about this rant: I’ve watched Judge Middleton try and try to no avail to get the mental health needed for those “ 8 cases”. These sad click bait cases are on the absolute failure of MH services in this county. Shame administrators, voters, but not the folks whose hands are literally cuffed.
The facts are: the crininal justice system doesn't want to deal with any mental health/addiction issues and only gives lip service to "resources". Example : if these 2 cases , the judge can clearly see they both need treatment and apparently has asked for it. But the da office and the jail isnt doing the work. Like i say its like a game , they say oh we give resources blah blah but these people need hand holding. Why? Because they cant make good decisions due to mental illness or addiction or both.

I hope the idiot doesn't offer plea deals so St Joe County turns into a bigger dumpster fire. It is what they voted for.
I seem to recall long ago that counties had something like halfway houses they would release mentally ill, non dangerous, people to that would genuinely try to help them. It would include doctors who would prescribe needed medications and a program to get them jobs if they could be leveled out with the drugs. The house was not just a very short term situation.
She really needs some KIND OF HELP! I could never be a Judge
The defense attorney for that first woman looks so tired… 17:52
You do realize she was psychotic. That’s pretty much mean she doesn’t understand the consequences of her actions.
IN MY VIEW
Case #1 She definitely needs competence evaluation. 1. Her rambling no-sense words. 2. She is deteriorating.
Case #2 He never thought about his mom running a drug house, selling Fentanyl, Heroine, Cocaine, being felon with guns.
I bet each and every time she was arrested she said she didn’t do anything and she is going to sue them. 🤣
37:00 thank you for telling people where to steal 😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder how many people have OD'd after getting drugs from him. Needs to be charged for those crimes. If he takes stolen items in trade for drugs he belongs in prison for the rest of his life. Thanks LW and Judge Middleton.
It's as if she exists to steal(first lady).
Judge Middleton and the prosecutor in the first case pretty much hate loathe each other.
Middleton likely hates Debbie Davis more. St Joe county is going to get much worse.
She’s not the brightest bulb in the cutlery drawer, is she?
That first woman was in another jail and she was arguing with the judge there it was broadcasted and she was not all there you should look and watch it She was in Judge Simpson court you should put both videos together
The "How dare you" in the rant at 14:55 is ***chef's kiss***
The two more "How dare you"s after are pure icing.
The fact that the guy's had so many dismissals tells me he might be a confidential informant. He looks the part to me. Not sure if I pity his mother. She raises "at least" three felons!
It is all on Wall-mart, if the carts were smaller, she would not have stolen quite so much.
❤❤❤❤
She sounds like she has developed schizophrenia. I have seen this a couple times in my own life, it just seems similar. She is very likely a very intelligent and nice person before. Treatment makes a world of difference.
This video makes it quite apparent that the prosecutor's office is an absolute shamble.
This particular prosecutor is.
@@carmenplangger9417 I agree with you.
@@carmenplangger9417 You are correct. I should have been more specific.
Second guy needs time to think about HIS role in all his problems. Prosecutor is certainly being a jerk as a short timer.
October 22 of 204? I are confused. LOL
Debbie Davis can’t get into office soon enough.
Why? You like liars?
@@nobodyimportant7804 relax pal
I think this defendant is high or drunk she can’t even talk
Fried, that is what happens to the brain , like the old commercial.
Wow judge is try to help her & shes still refusing to plead thats a good deal she aint helping herself
What is untenable position on misdemeanors? 18:30?
please vote blue to try to fund mental health help.
just once.
If she doesn't want to plead, take her to trial and convict her!!
I'm don't think you lose your surety if your bond gets revoked and you're in jail. If you failed to show up that's a forfeiture then you lose you're surety
Lesson: Walmart has better CCTV than the CIA... It's ALWAYS Walmart 😂... and hold the phone 🧐 then can come and get you days/weeks/months after the offense happens?? What can of BS is that? ... I mean... I'm not saying stealing is right, you shouldn't do it. However that seems weird to me that they can like watch the tape later when they are bored and show up at your doorstep?.... this woman won't be alive much longer ❤️ ma'am get some help!!! Jokes aside... it's heartbreaking 💔 she might just be too far gone... these drugs turn people into the walking dead.... so sad.
You guys need to socialise your medicine
Agreed!
Closed captions on the first one. I miss Debra.
She should be disbarred
@@nobodyimportant7804 Who?
I don't agree with the 2nd guy what do ever. He said he's never hurt anyone, that's not true at all. Running a drug house, and selling is hurting someone possible even death. I lost 2 sons to fentanyl so the drugs he's selling can kill someone. Plus he's hurting Home depot so that's not a true statement he's making I was waiting to hear the judge say that.
Sheesh. Poor woman.
I can't believe he dropped that bomb and left!! He's such a twit!!
Middleton is awesome!
Meth, not so much.
Yer hunor I er wa a crow ba an er I n jail a hur
8:55 SHE NEEDS PRISON, she is a menace to society
She needs MH care so she has a chance to stop being a menace.
Prison will just make her worse, but I suspect that is what you want.
@@nobodyimportant7804 some people who are not bleeding hearts realize that some people will never change, if she can maybe she could live with you? Work around your house?
This is her 4 +felony when would it be right for her to finally be punished never?
If not virtue signaling and clutching pearls , what is the proper punishment for this menace who has ruined peoples lives
@@mr.waldodebaldo3208 That is why we need real social services.
It is a very good thing that you are not a judge. Good grief, you are a pathetic sadist.
My 45 year old friend in austin texas got a habitual and got enough years he killed himself in custody it was i thought life but sounds more like 15 years listening to this....but he stole less than this lady they just said the manor of his crash dummy attitude was just a matter of time. And they had enough to give him a bich and they did sad but it happens
I have to say he was allways running wild doing drugs and sometimes shoplifting and burglarizing. But the last year before he got charged with the bich he had just been extra ordinarily crash dummy esk...he didn't give a shit and you could tell he said I'm going till I crash...they can tell when you have that demeanor and it's hard for them to sick you on scociety at that point so I did get why he got one.
I dunno. 15 years would mean she isn't taking dangerous drugs, and she wouldn't be driving Walmart security nuts, and the cops wouldn't have to drag her in once a week. Sounds like the best choice.
15 years means she’ll have an abundance of drugs silly
Do you really believe you cannot get drugs in prison?
Whatever happened to having the defendant gagged
Every so often the Judge screws his face up, does he have some kind of medical problem?
There is a place for left and right in the judicial branch. We need republicans in the prosecutor's office to be tough on crime and democrats on the bench to balance that out
I saw another video of her. She seems so demure until she starts talking
😂😂😂
This is crazy court. It appears to be completely disorganized and has no resources for the accused.
I'm comparing this to the courts of Judge Boyd and Stevenson.
These people are just a hot mess 🤯
Mental, so so mental! 😢
