“I wish things had happened differently” and “…sorry this happened”. It didn’t “happen” like she tripped over something. HE did it. Saying “It happened” is just bypassing HIS responsibility for what HE did.
Her account=What a heartbreaking view of a real life event. She is an excellent witness who didn’t deserve any of this cruelty. She is also well prepared and has her info well prepared for presentation in court.
I think it was a fair sentence. Main thing is the victim has done peace of mind for a while. She may be able to apply for an extension after the year is up if his current relationship doesn’t work out & he starts haunting the area again. Wonder how long it will be before he starts whacking his current gf.
I'm sure everybody heard the first part of the sentence and had a quizzical reaction. I'm sure the defendant breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps making dinner plans in his mind. Then Judge Middleton continued...😅
Yes I was just getting ready to leave a comment about it then the Judge continued. I think he should have been given at least a year since it's his third offense, though.
DV needs to be treated like any other violent crime in the law. It is treated less seriously and that is insane as it is a more dangerous situation than most. It is one of the most dangerous calls a cop can get. I would probably get more than three months if I did something similar to a random stranger and I don't have a prior record.
Wr need to have a serious conversation about how badgering women and girls over and over until they "consent" is not really consent. If you ask a dozen women if they have ever given in just to make it stop or because they are worried about their safety if they keep saying no after being hounded and badgered, you would be shocked at how many say yes. That poor 13 year old giirl needs therapy and so does mom. This man is raising his son to be just like him. Smh.
In August 1995, Judge Middleton was appointed by Governor Engler to Michigan’s 7th District Court to fill a vacancy. At just 33 years old, he was one of the youngest appointees in state history. Later that year, he was appointed to the 3rd Circuit Court
I am immensely disappointed in Judge Middleton regarding the sentence he gave this A$$hole. The defendant got 10 months last time for the same offense, and now he gets 93 days??????? WTF??????
Wow. The officer putting the cuffs on this guy appears to be about 5 feet tall. And then right at the end of the video, a 4 foot tall officer enters the picture on the right side. I guess they had to get the one very big officer in the middle to compensate. I wonder if there is a nuclear power plant in the area nearby.
Judge Middleton is a real fair Judge he can see right threw the BS I have a case in front of him now, He only had 3 hours sleep hope he gets more next time than hes at top of the game
He gave the guy the max allowable time for the crime in probation and forced him to server 3 months of that probation in jail. That's not all that soft.
@millipedic but the judge isn't going to be the one that changes the law. You need to convince your representatives to amend the law in the proper way, then Middleton can pass the sentence accordingly.
Not only does Judge Middleton know everyone, he knows where they live AND he knows who USED to live in their houses!!
How he susses out that the victim lives in the house that miss Lewis the school teacher used to live at ❤ love middleton

People (male as well as female) that have committed DV always say how sorry they are. But then do it again & again. It's a cycle.
Thank you Sir. Much Respect✌️

The details this judge has for the community and those who live there, is most impressive.
Jelly of that Jim Mequio drip. ✨

I agree.
Impressive that Middleton knows everyone in his community. Small town or not, dude is sharp as a tack!
Satisfying to watch!
I hope he goes thru the DT’s …
not enough to off him, but enough that maybe he’ll remember it 🤷🏼♀️
thank W, ✨Wolfy dear ~ hello from Cali ☀️😎🌴
Wow. What a terrible situation for someone you supposedly care about enough to maintain a romantic relationship with.
This is kind of making me anxious.
Greatest last name ever.
@@BeeHash It means "village on the River Cock." It made me tough.

Probably shouldn't have mentioned turning him in.
Car will have issues when he gets out.

Wow.... thats quite the let down.....
This guy has mainly been talking about how everything he did has effected him

.Middleton is a lousy judge.
Always probation, I skipped to the end.
Then you must have seen the defendant being placed in cuffs and taken away to jail.
Wrong!
Weak sentence…..just a matter of time he permanently damages her or another women. So is learning from him, no real consequences!!!
Wow Middleton is getting soft

@@LoneWolfUsul Needs to be multiple years in prison. Things must change.

@@LoneWolfUsul agreed
Judges can only follow the law. They can't give more than the max. They can't change that. But we the people can demand change from our law makers!
