I would love to see Ariana DeBose in Gypsy with Audra. That would be epic! Have tix to some of the shows you mentioned including Mattress. That was at NY City Center not long ago and was a NY Times Critics Pick. You might want to check out Table 17 Off-Broadway starring Kara Young at MCC Theater. Opens in August.

OK, I need to stop commenting as I watch and just save all my comments for one coherent comment, but.... I thought I was the ONLY one in the world who didn't love &Juliet. So cheesy - I felt like it was a high school performance. Enjoyable, but corny.

Totally agree about Joshua Boone and Brent Comer, but I feel the same about Jason Schmidt - I could not take my eyes off him (for many reasons!) when I saw him in the show. I saw Trevor recently in for Ponyboy and thought he was really great. Didn't have a chance to see Brody yet so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'd imagine they're both fantastic.

Gasped when you said you are not a fan of &Juliet! I see it once a month, it brings me so much joy :)

I saw understudy for Sodapop and i really liked him but i really need to see Jason Schmidt. Hope he stays for a long time

Disagree about what you said about songs in Suffs. I think all of the songs belong. Agree the black suffs are definitely represented. Not sure what you mean about the staging. I was in orchestra and mezzanine when I saw it and not sure what you mean. & Juliet is excellent and the tour starts soon. For off Broadway, Kara Young will be in Table 17 opening at MCC in August.

Illinoise won’t be able to extend. Sunset Blvd is going into the St James. Previews start in late September. It would have to change theaters. The Suffs protest was ridiculous. The black suffragists were represented! It was part of the conflict/plot in the show! The protesters need to educate themselves about what is in the show! Not sure how much of black suffragist history was in the off-Broadway production so maybe they are going off the old version. If so, it was ignorant of them not to inform themselves. I agree, it does not seem as if they have seen this show. Further, a young black woman was the next generation. Hoping Suffs has a long run! It’s my favorite musical of the past season.

I saw boop in Chicago and it was is absolutely amazing! It’s essentially the Barbie movie but a bit more rounded and streamlined. It definitely needed some work but the premise is pretty solid. Also jasmine will be taking the Tony she’s an absolute triple threat!

The star of Tammy Faye, Katie Braben, won the Olivier for this role in the West End. Tommy’s plot is not the strength of the show. The music, lighting, sound are awesome. Ali is amazing. Nothing but Merrily would have won Best Revival. If Boop is silly then it could go the way of Heart of Rock and Roll.

For the matter of time I think the Soc's storyline get cut down. So Cherry's importance is cut down, coz she has more emotional depth about whether or not to speak out at court about Bob or not. And even Paul's character is cut for convienece. He tries to make up for his actions and doesn't show up for the rumble. I haven't seen the show so I don't know if its in the dialogue on not the songs but I think that it's not there

Usually when I listen to any musical album, there are a few that I always skip for one reason or another. HOWEVER, when it comes to The Outsiders musical, I do not skip a single song. Every single one is amazing, and I am so happy because The Outsiders is my FAVORITE book of all time. Not exaggerating. I read the book at least once a month and I watch the movie frequently.

It's a no skip album which is rare. Stay gold is my favorite song then Death's at my door and Throwing in the towel. I misheard a few lyrics listening to Throwing in the towel the first time on the Instagram story and thought Brent was saying "What if they lock up runaways?" lol it made sense at the time
