You are lucky to live locally and can rush. If you live out of town, you are almost forced to buy ahead of time to guarantee you can see the shows you want to see.

I watched the outside back in April. Brent is the actor that stood out the most for me in the show. I would love to see him as a lead of a musical someday.

Truly the only reason I’m excited for boop is the amount of actors I’ve started to follow. I doubt anyone in the outsiders would shift into a role full time, I think they would want to offer someone new the role, luckily I don’t think they need stunt casting

Obsessed with this pod (obviously) and love an Outsiders heavy episode. Outsiders leaving predictions: Brody, Jason, Brent, Joshua Boone, and Sky to leave for sure and announce closing performances soon. Trevor to take over full-time Pony. JPC to take on Soda, Dan Berry to take on Darrel. Maggie to take on full-time Cherry, with new cast member Hailey and SG as Cherry U/S's. Melody to stay and be promoted to Dance Captain. On the fence about Emma and Daryl. Daryl seems to be focusing on his content creator/travel vlog life w/ his gf, so maybe a principal/lead in a national tour for him? I feel like Emma might already have a new contract, something more dance-heavy. KWP is a complete wildcard. I can see him staying OR joining The Outsiders Nat Tour.

there are sequel musicals!! “Annie 2: miss Hannigan’s revenge” which was a massive flop!! and the second sequel: “Annie Warbucks” which was also a flop!

KWP is never leaving The Outsiders. They're gonna have to drag that man out of the theater, lol. My leaving predictions are Brody Grant, Jason Schmidt (for his music career), John Boone (which would be an absolute tragedy), and Emma Pittman (I just feel like she has something up her sleeve 🧐). I also think Josh Strobl will be Ponyboy full time, and maybe JPC as Sodapop? But RJ leaving wasn't on my radar at all, so all of these predictions are probably way off 😂

I personally think Suffs came off a little preachy at first. I had almost no plans to see it, but ended up feeling inspired around the time of the DNC. So glad I did. It was not anything like how I thought it would be. The Tony performance specifically made the show look boring. I let like if they chose a medley instead Keep Marching. I personally think you need the whole show to build to Keep Marching before you can appreciate it. I ended up loving Suffs, but there was a lot that needed to convince me! Also, I checked my spreadsheet and the Our Town capacity ranges from about 70% to 85% depending on the week. Daryl Tofa said in his live that RJ was going to Boop.

So glad the holidays were so successful for Broadway. Impressive news about Wicked grosses!!! Hamilton is in a much smaller theater than Wicked or Lion King. All of the top shows including Gatsby had 9 performances. Of the top 5, Hamilton is in the smallest theater. Sunset and Hell’s Kitchen had only 8 performances which explains why they were not higher. I loved Suffs. So glad it finished strong. Also happy it will be touring and that it was taped for PBS! Suffs cast was BRILLIANT! A lot of people didn’t know that it was an all female cast. Marketing was suboptimal. I actually think some small-minded people DIDN’T go because of Hillary. She is polarizing. Recommend not saying flop for everything closing. Suffs won two Tonys. That is not a flop. You can just say it didn’t recoup. Some are real flops. Tammy Faye was an actual flop. Operation Mincemeat was the most successful deception operation in World War II. Colin Firth is in a movie of the same name. I think it is on Netflix. It might be helpful to watch the movie before you see the musical. You can listen to the Buena Vista Social Club album to hear the music of the group. I am sure it won at least one Latin Grammy Award pre-pandemic. Just in Time should be amazing. So exciting. Dead Outlaw should give every new musical a run for its money based on last year’s awards. Wondering if The Last Five Years could be considered a revival. Will be interesting to see what the Tony Committee decides. Please stop talking about the Nicole Scherzinger nonsense. It’s over and has been overblown from the start. Let it go. Every time you bring it up, it reinforces a false narrative.

There's a lot of stuff going on right now. Wicked is going the distance, HamilTEN and that one Mufasa song is leading to a linnasance, and speaking of that the Warriors is going into production this year

Ragtime should have been MUCH higher. What a cast! Strongly disagree on Sunset ranking so low. Suffs should be top 5. Great Gatsby is way too high. Based on grosses, Left on Tenth and A Wonderful World are likely to close very soon. Hell’s Kitchen at the Public was in about a 250 seats-size theatre. Agree it was a better experience. Have seen many of the shows you saw this year including Outsiders, Gypsy, Oh, Mary, JOB, Stereophonic, Illinoise, and the ones above. Sorry, Gypsy wasn’t close to my favorite show this year. Act 1 drags quite a lot. If you ignore the Broadway World thumbs, you will find that the words are more mixed than the colors might indicate. I also think a revival should have a fresh approach. This one seems traditional, even dated. I sure hope Sunset wins Best Revival. Re: understudies, there is a lot of illness going around. A lot of rumors about OBC Hadestown cast possibly doing a proshot in London. It’s much cheaper to film there.

The reason why the 5 OBC is coming over to London to do a 5 week run is that there are rumours going around that they are filming a proshot and it’s cost less money then Broadway to film proshots. West end don’t release grosses

I didn’t love Gypsy. Didn’t care for Audra in this role. It doesn’t work with her voice. Also, the first act drags. It’s too long. I wouldn’t see it again. I am definitely rooting for Nicole.

I completely disagree. I loved this production of Sunset! This is groundbreaking theater! The music is beautiful. Have seen twice. Once from rear orchestra and once from rear mezz. Actually more interesting from Mezz. You can appreciate the screen much more. I will be seeing this again from front balcony. I think it helps to watch the film first. It provides a few plot points. For Patti LuPone to love this production in spite of her hatred for ALW, shows how amazing the production is. Didn’t care for the Gypsy revival. Elf can’t extend. Stranger Things is going into the theater. Golden Globes have no credibility.

Am I the only one that loves A Sentimental Man? It has one of the better melodies in the Wicked Soundtrack. For me, it's within my vocal range and short enough to sing all through.
