Saw Dirty Dancing the musical it is so magical outstanding acting. The Dancing is so much fun and the lift is on point. When I saw Dirty Dancing all of the dancers were latino and ballroom dancers.
i remember a few years back during my anastasia phase my ideal fancast for baby and johnny in a dirty dancing musical were christy altomare and derek klena lol. but yes, i want to be hopeful for the dirty dancing musical cause eleanor bergstein is involved with the writing......i'm not entirely sure about how the previous stage show went as i never got to see it but i would take this anytime over the plans for the 1987 film having a sequel coming up (ugh)
Hadestown isn’t doing bad, it’s reported that it costs at most 500k a week to run and it making 789k is actual good. And it goes to show how maybe looking at grosses based on rankings is a bad way to look at potential closure of shows. Instead you should look at capacity and ticket sales (the general rule for that is 80-90% with $100+ respectively).
I saw the Dirty Dancing Musical years ago on tour, and it was bad. Hopefully they'll update it for the better! Lonny Price was not only in Dirty Dancing movie--he was also in the original Broadway cast of Merrily We Roll Along!
I have been playing the Warriors album nonstop!! Please put this on stage Lin!!
Finally listened to the whole album today and WOW
I can’t stop listening to the Warriors album. I think I have a problem. 😂😂😂 I need this to become a show NOW. 😆
It is JUST THAT GOOD!!!

A thought: Jason Schmidt as the lead in Dirty Dancing. He reminds me of a young Patrick Swayze anyway.
This is genius.

I knew he looked familiar!! Well I can see the musical either being really god OR really bad - but I'm feeling hopeful
I have been obsessed with the Warriors album.
Really curious how they would bring it to Broadway given all the stuff that happens
I am curious too but I definitely think it can be done!!
