This all changed with the model 3 highland. I literally compared it to loaded MS from 2021 and there was just no comparison. M3 was quieter had ventilated seats better autopilot and faster (much faster) charging. Longer range and newer battery technology. Sorry model s.

The pricing is bogus. When I see a 299/mo payment for a lease, that is what I expect to pay within the terms of the lease. If remove the gas savings but, keep the taxes and fees, the payment goes up about $100. It seems deceptive to me.

I have a Tesla S75, I have installed MCU version 2 in it, but it keeps showing a message, can you remove it? Its mileage is high. Is there any way to reduce it? Error in display : vehicle configuration mismatched If you have a solution, I will pay your fee. And tell me how to contact you.

Here's my experience. In April of 2020 I bought a 2013 Model S85 from the original owner, the main drive unit and main display had already been replaced under warranty. That meant that the car I bought was on it's second drive unit and display (@90K miles). Since summer 2023 I have been experiencing episodes of the drive unit cutting out during normal driving. Within a year the issue had become worse, and by the Fall of 2024 it was happening almost every time I drove the car. So in mid-November 2024 I drove it to the local Austin, TX service center and on the drive there it cut out 3 times. When I got there they said I should leave it with them (without an appointment) because it was a "safety issue". The diagnosis (the same day) was that the drive unit was failing and had to be replaced. My choice: do nothing and have eventual total drive unit failure or cough up the money and make the replacement now. I authorized the replacement~ $6700 (out of warranty). The car has 140,000 miles now and is on it's 3rd drive unit. If I had known that this was a possible issue, I never would have bought the car back in 2020. This may not be typical for all early Model S's, but I was unlucky enough for it to happen to mine. Three (3) drive units in 140,000 miles of normal driving is not my idea of a dependable car.

2018 MX 75D with FSD with all the bells and whistles including streaming apps like Netflix, YT, Hulu, am/fm, Apple along with sentry mode. Just purchased the vehicle for $28k with 93k miles. Blows the mind someone can put that much into a vehicle and get rid of it. Running great so far.

I put one in for my buddy. He was getting quotes between 2 and 3k With materials and tool rental. New breaker and wire ran from breaker box through basement to outside then garage. Total cost 380

I just got a 2018 Model S 75D for €25k. Directly from Tesla Germany, the upgraded the MCU to version 2.5, and I got an extra year of warranty. I didn't know my car was supposedly capable of FSD, but I don't care about FSD. The choice really came down to styling - while I like the Model 3 design, I love how the Model S design. But the real deal breaker for the Model 3 is the interior. I will not buy a car that doesn't have an instrument cluster behind the steering wheel.

Thats crazy how fast the battery worn and only gets 100 plus you have to charge it for like 40 minutes not worth it imo, i have a 2015 5 series that gets around like over 300 i dont think im ready for EV yet, would like to own one just to see though.

So I did the same thing about 8 months ago. I bought a 2015 Model S 85D, has free supercharge, Autodrive 1.0 computer (I'm totally fine with this cause I would be too freaked out to use it on the streets), free connectivity, MCU2, dual chargers (80 amps), 48k miles, premium inside, panoramic roof, perfect condition outside, perfect condition inside for around $19k after incentives. I looked up how much this cost new.. it was around $120k...sheesh!

I find it alwasy silly when I see those 2,5 tonne EV accelerating fast only to slow down 300 m later for next hazard or obstruction which intracranial electricity did not detect or react to.. 😅

Gas car dealers havent a clue how to sell a used Tesla. They say things like "moonroof", "backup camera", "gps nav" & my personal favorite "GREAT ON GAS".

How do you determine if the car has free supercharging? 2013 to 2015 cars supposed to have it but some cars are de-registered from the charging network (salvage title)
